You won’t miss the comforts of home with this stylish 1-bedroom condominium centrally located in Canaan Valley. New hardwood floors throughout the entire downstairs living/dining/kitchen area and vaulted ceilings create an open and inviting space, while the floor to ceiling stone fireplace give a cozy rustic feel. An open master bedroom loft includes a king-sized bed with a quality memory foam mattress that awaits you after a day of mountain adventures. (A twin-sized rollaway bed with a 4-inch memory foam mattress and a folding crib/mattress are also included for a 3rd guest if needed.) The upstairs loft features a roomy master bath and walk-in closet. The condo has a fully-equipped kitchen, high speed Internet, WIFI, and two flat-screen TV's. Back deck on ground level has gas grill, seating for four, and ramp directly to large open outdoor space. The Deerfield Village community is beautifully landscaped with mature trees and located along a 1/2-mile circular private drive making it perfect for evening sunset strolls. You will have access to all village amenities including playgrounds, swimming pool, tennis/volleyball/basketball courts, fishing pond, large outdoor fire pit, and picnic area. Alpine Haus offers air conditioning!! Free firewood is provided. Within just a few miles of Canaan Valley State Park and Timberline Mountain as well as numerous hiking/biking trails.

Love Deerfield Village

The townhouses in Deerfield Village are very nice, well kept, comfortable and make us feel at home every visit. The kitchen is well stocked and plenty of linens. We’ll be back many times.

This was our 1st. time staying at the Deerfield Village. Best of Canaan Realty is awesome as usual.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed in many rentals in Deerfield. Although this one has not been updated as much as the others, this is still a very nice place. The deck is well maintained and the equipment in the kitchen makes cooking easy. The grill does not light by the starter, but a box of matches is provided on the fireplace and it fires right up that way. The only down side is that there is no AC. 2 Fans were provided, and the weather wasn't too bad. Our hottest day was 77 but the fans helped make a nice cross breeze. Without AC I can see later summer moths being hard to enjoy indoors. I am thinking about renting this condo again in the winter, as I think it would be a great place to come back to after being on the slopes and having a nice fire. I really enjoyed my stay.

Comfortable Stay for Two

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: location, easy access right off Highway 32, in the middle of Canaan Valley. Quiet, pleasant neighborhood. Comfortable king bed and mattress. Plenty of linens. Adequately stocked kitchen. Real, wood burning fireplace, with stocked wood. Parking right in front of the residence. Small, but interesting reading collection: Walt Whitman, Ernest Hemingway, lots of hiking trail books.Cons: Master bath in loft has non-functioning sink plug and non-functioning baseboard heat. Kitchen, dining and living area all crammed in one room. OK for a couple, but not for more people. Poor lighting for the dining table. TV in living room is smallish and low resolution.Mixed: Baseboard electric heating is separately controlled by 5 separate thermostats (2 bath, 1 loft, 1 living room, 1 foyer). Some might view that as advantage, others not. One baseboard, in loft bathroom, was not functioning; others functioned well, once you get used to the settings.Cleanliness: kitchen and bath were very clean, as well as linens. Not so clean were baseboards and out of the way corners of rooms.Property management: free firewood is supplied, weekly. Overhead fees (admin, damages insurance, cleaning, taxes) were high, over 1/3 of total cost of rental. Questionable "damage fee" was mandatory.
