Thank you Sarah for your well thought out review of Sheffield Cottage, Bowral. Guests really do like the heated bathroom floor. A little bit of luxury in a cold climate. Mariese.
Wonderful stay at your beautiful cosy, little cottage. We loved it! The watercolours are absolutely gorgeous and make it even more special. Hope to be back one day.

Thank you. Glad you had a pleasant stay. The photos do not gloss up the house so guests are not disappointed but generally very happy with what they find. Mariese
Perfect location to the town, reasonable walk to get there. House was clean, but could use a bit of freshening up. Bedding needs updating, not good if you have a bad back.Only milk is supplied, so you’ll need to supply everything food wise. Overall not a bad place to stay.

I am sorry to find that one guest was uncomfortable in our beds due to a bad back. On the advice of a longstanding local bed seller we chose medium firm mattresses 5 years ago. Unlike the good choice.of soft to hard pillows we have no choice in mattresses. This is the first complaint about bedding suggesting that the seller was correct but we can try a little firmer when the mattresses fall due for replacement. Linen has already been replaced several times. Regarding the lack of food, we supply1 litre of milk of guests’ choice multiple styles of tea and coffee and a packet of biscuits. I hesitate to provide more especially things that are opened and could be tapered with or go against a guest’s dietary needs. Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. We take on board the “freshening up” but have also been impressed with how well our guests’ have cared for the little 1950s cottage in its second metamorphosis. Mariese.
Thank you Dana. Although a plain little cottage from the outside, Sheffield Cottage does have a good feel as it is clean and light, uncluttered and furnished with restful colours with comfortable bedding and hopefully provided with most things needed for a short stay. We are also fortunate that all of our guests have appreciated this and taken care of the Cottage while enjoying their stay. Mariese.
This home was so lovely, beautifully presented and had everything anyone could possibly need. Gorgeous artworks on the walls, short walk to The Hospital Shop cafe with fab food and coffee. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely home with us.
