Thanks for your feedback, and glad you had an excellent stay. We have not previously received any feedback regarding the pool heater requiring up to 24 hours to warm up, either from guests or from our swimming pool provider. This is the first time we are hearing about it. Otherwise, all relevant information is clearly outlined in the guest welcome document under the swimming pool section. We will follow up with our swimming pool provider to make sure that everything is operating as expected. Our outdoor cameras were functioning throughout your stay, and our cleaning staff also confirmed that the internet connection was working during that time. Thanks for staying at our family cottage!
This was my families third time at Villa Jasmine and it was wonderful as always. The house has lots of space for everyone and the pool and backyard are an amazing plus. The sunsets from the balcony never get old. Also the shop out front is great. There’s a ping pong table and a dart board. Great for the older kids and adults. The town of Wiarton itself also has a lot of cute little shops, a great playground and splash pad for little kids and great views. Bruce Caves are literally a 2 minute drive from the house and they’re pretty cool to check out if you like hiking. There are many areas for sight seeing and hiking trails. The host Jasmine is amazing. She is quick to respond and very helpful. Check in and any questions were painless with Jasmine! We hope to be back again.
our family had a wonderful time in the pool and back yard, a great place for a summer vacation!

Internet didnt work, the pool needs some sprucing up to get rid of weeds so my grandson doesn't trip and no chairs to sit on for bird poop all over them. Also found hooks and steel pieces out at pool picked up and left on table to be properly disposed of Other then that nice quiet stay

Our cameras were working well; no issues! (Connected to wifi). Also, our cleaning staff informed us that the internet is working well. You did not reach out to us before, during, or after your stay regarding any concerns. We of course tried to reach out to you multiple times. As a result, we were not given the opportunity to address or resolve the issues you have mentioned. For the swimming pool, we will reach out to our provider to address this! Also, the cottage door was left unlocked upon your departure, which is a significant safety and security concern.
Had everything we needed, it was a great space to relax and unwind.

MULTIPLE issues! Listing pics don’t match reality. Make sure you bring at least 2 electric fans, b/c theirs don’t work. The BBQ is absolutely filthy - we wouldn’t use it. The coffeemaker has no carafe lid, so the drip mechanism won’t work; the electric griddle has no cord; and, the non-stick pans are in bad shape. No working plug in the kitchen sink and the bathtub plug is actually a flapper from a toilet tank.Outside, the trampoline is not safe for children. Despite being shown in the listing, the diving board has been disassembled.

Our experience hosting this guest was not a positive one, and we would not recommend hosting them. During their stay, we had to ask the guests to reduce the amount of noise they were making outside. This was concerning because our property is located in a residential community with clear expectations around maintaining a reasonable noise level. They never reviewed the welcome document either. The guests also raised several concerns after their stay that, in our view, were disproportionate to the overall condition and nature of the property. For example, the BBQ was apparently an issue, but this was only brought to our attention on the last day of their stay, when the guest asked us to come and inspect it at approximately 6:00 pm on Friday, despite having been at the property since Tuesday. Had we been notified earlier, we would have had an opportunity to address the concern during their stay. We have also made ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the property. Over the past five years, we have replaced the window screens multiple times because they have been damaged or the mesh has been torn by previous guests and children. Unfortunately, repeated replacements are becoming increasingly difficult for us to absorb financially. Similarly, we recently purchased brand-new couches for both the main and lower levels. Despite being only in their third season, the upstairs couch already shows significant wear from guest use.
Some of the other concerns raised, such as a missing plug or carafe, were relatively minor and could easily have been communicated to us during the stay so that we could have addressed them promptly.
We want to be transparent that this is a family cottage and NOT a luxury resort or a four- or five-star hotel. We have always clearly communicated this on our listing. It is a comfortable, spacious five-bedroom family home with a private swimming pool, offered at a competitive price. Guests have access to the entire cottage, and we make every effort to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay, but we do not advertise the property as a newly renovated luxury accommodation.
We welcome guests who appreciate the property for what it is: a warm, family-style cottage with plenty of space and amenities, rather than a high-end resort experience. Unfortunately, we felt that this guest's expectations were not aligned with the nature and description of our property.
Based on our overall experience, we would not host this guest again and would recommend that other hosts carefully consider whether their property and hosting style would be a good fit for this guest.
Site was just what we needed. 6 adults and 6 children 2-14. Property was clean and well appointed. Pool was a great add. Saible beach was only a short 30minute drive
Great location. Convenient access and host is very responsive. Could do with a little bit of a makeover but that's minor compared to the facilities and location. Throughly enjoyed the pool too. Gorgeous sunsets from the balcony.
This is our second time here and it was fantastic again. The kids have so much fun in the pool and they were excited that we had come back here. Sunsets from the back balcony are beautiful. The garage provides a good place for adults later in the evening with ping pong and darts. Check in is easy. This host is very responsive and any small questions we had were answered quickly. Would definitley come back again.
This lovely, clean and well equipped property was the perfect location for our 3 generations! Peaceful, well maintained, and well equipped, it allowed us a perfect post-covid reunion. From my 3 year old grandson, to my 3 sons and daughters-in-law, to myself, we all had a fabulous time. Thank you, for accurate representation and for sharing this gorgeous place. We loved it.

Janet, thank you very much for such a wonderful & honest review, we appreciate it. Likewise, it was an incredible experience for us to host you & your family, thank you.
We had a great time at this cottage. The cottage itself is amazing with lots of space for everyone. The pool was an absolute hit. The kids were in it every day and had the best time. The owners were great and very responsive. It is a very quiet neighbourhood as the posting says and noise must be kept down. But overall our vacation was lovely and we had a great time. We would definitely go back.

stay was Ok . Had to spray for ants on patio and pool deck.Kids had lots of fun in pool. Screen doors still don't work properly - same as 2 years ago . Great location for us.Overall it was a fine family holiday .Thankyou
We stayed at Villa Jasmine with our adult children and our grandchildren. There was a lot of room for all of us, with 5 bedrooms, 2 living areas upstairs and down. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunk beds. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area accommodated us all together. We loved the pool! There were many outdoor seating options as well. Despite being on a somewhat busy road, it was very quiet. Jasmine was an excellent property manager, checking in with us several times to make sure there were no issues. Actually we did have a problem with the tv's and she contacted the owner who called right away and resolved the issue. The only strikes against the property were the wonky sliding door screens, which apparently are scheduled to be replaced, and the musty smell as you go downstairs. There is a dehumidifier which helps, but you need to leave the windows open.Overall we were very happy staying at Villa Jasmine and would consider staying again.
The property was not up to the quality of our expectations.
The general state of the property was fair at best! The cleaners did not do a very good job of cleaning the windows and left garbage laying around the pool area. The screen doors were a constant battle to keep operational. I had to repair a trim piece on the stairs as I was concerned about one of the kids falling down the stairs! On the first day, we received a complaint of excessive noise from a neighbor relayed from the owner! I am wondering if it's the same neighbor whose dog crapps on the back lawn? The house is dated and needs upgrading to warrant the rental price of this property!!!

Thanks for your review, Gerald! We have changed the cleaning staff and hired a better cleaning staff. Regarding the neighbourhood policy, it was mentioned everywhere on the listing + welcome email, thanks!!
We had a great time! The pool is amazing! The property is large and spacious inside and out. It's a short 20 minute walk to a small beach area, a 10 minute drive into town, and a 25 minute drive to Sauble Beach..
The house was very clean. Lots of available dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, pitchers, ice trays, you won't run out. The bedrooms are big. lots of couches and futons, you won't run out of areas to relax. No AC, but there are fans in every bedroom and it gets cooler at night. The only issue we had was the sliding screen doors were bent so we couldn't keep them open at night.
Plenty of lighting available when sitting outside a night. Bring LOTs of bug spray. There were a lot of mosquitos at night.
The heated pool is awesome! There's a drink fridge outside. There's ping pong table with two paddles in the garage which was really fun. Lots of propane for the BBQs. The outside firepit area is nice, but would've preferred to have it in the backyard. There's a trampoline in the backyard behind the pool. but it hasn't really been maintained. It would've been nice if there were bikes included.
Overall we loved it. Totally recommend. Communication was with the owners was excellent. We all had a great time.

This was a warm, spacious, comfortable family home for our 3-generational family vacation. Jasmine was quick and easy to communicate with when we had a few questions. Perhaps in need of a refresh but a great functional space and everything the listing had promised.
Me and my family had a wonderful time at the cottage! The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always quick to respond whenever we needed anything. Everything made for a great stay, and we would definitely come back. Highly recommend!
