A chef’s inspired outdoor kitchen and a professional gas fueled stone pizza oven along with produce and herbs from the vegetable garden will ensure memorable evenings spent with family and friends around the deck’s harvest table followed by board games and movie nights on the 82 inch TV screen in the lower level’s media room.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and inviting. The hot tub is so enjoyable as well as the sauna. A great place for a family to enjoy time together. We will be booking again. Also, great hiking close by
We absolutely loved our stay. The place was clean, very well kept, had more than enough linens, towels, kitchenware etc. We also enjoyed the hot tub very much.
David and Pauline’s is as shown. Great hosts nothing overlooked in making our stay here a success. It’s a lovely home in a beautiful location. The gift basket was beyond expectations but a lovely and welcome gesture. The 9 of us crazy cousins had a fabulous weekend. So much to do in and around Georgian bay or if you choose to just hang out this location has much to offer.
This was our 5th visit to the Highland House and it did not disappoint. Being greeted by Annette is always a pleasure. Communication with our hosts David and Pauline is outstanding. The property is stunning, with multiple areas to sit and relax, rain or shine. The home is warm and cozy with comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and every amenity you could ask for, plus hot tub, sauna, pizza oven! We look forward to returning again and again for our annual girls wknd! Many thanks to our wonderful hosts!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Highland House. David has been very proactive in communication and the property was very well taken care of. Highly recommend for family retreats.

This property is well thought out with incredible spaces to hang and relax inside and outside. Communication with the owner was thoughtful and helpful. I would stay at this property again without hesitation.
we had a great time. Everything was as described and check-in was smooth. They have all the information needed for your stay and packing up available in the cottage. Highly recommend.
The cottage is very cozy and yet very spacious. The bedrooms are large and have very comfortable beds and bedding. The patio has a large bbq, pizza oven and hot tub. The sauna in the basement heats up in 20 minutes and is easy to operate. Walking trails are plentiful and nearby. If you are looking to relax, rent this place.
The property and cottage are breathtaking. Check in process was great. The cottage had so many nice amenities. Everything was really clean. David and his team put alot of effort into making it an experience.
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. We made lots of new family memories; including our monopoly tournament 😉. Thanks so much to David, Pauline and Annette for making our stay amazing. We'll be back next year!

From the moment we drove onto the property we felt welcomed! This is a beautiful home, on a peaceful property, that is well cared for, very clean and comfortable. Well equipped with everything needed to ensure a restful stay. We all found a favourite spot…even our dog.
We look forward to staying again. E. Hughes
We rented the cottage for part of March break family reunion (7 people). The house is beautiful and well equipped with everything you may need, and more. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were very generous. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!
Thank you!
My sister and our partners found the Highland House and it was the perfect location and retreat for a weekend away. The house is cozy and has everything you need. We took advantage of the sauna and hot tub. We were greeted by the property manager and she showed us around the house and was great with our dogs. A very thoughtful welcome basket was waiting for us full of local eats and beverages. This house has everything you need to have the best time away!
Of course! Here’s a polished VRBO review you can post:---We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Highland House in Meaford! Our group of six had plenty of space and every amenity we could possibly need — the hosts have truly thought of everything. The property itself is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The welcome basket was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel immediately at home. Our host was extremely responsive, kind, and made sure our stay was perfect from start to finish. If I could give 15/10 stars, I absolutely would. We can’t wait to come back!

About the host
Hosted by David and Pauline
Highland House was purchased as a gathering place for generations of family and their friends to connect and to retreat from city living, even for a short time, in order to share experiences that are rooted in nature. Inspired by surroundings reminiscent of the Scottish highlands, Highland House is a touchstone to the owners’ ancestral connections to land and sea.
