We really enjoyed our trip to Nantucket and staying here was perfect for us! Mark was very responsive and helpful for any questions. Our favorite part was that the home had bikes so we were able to easily get around the island, along with a bus stop at the end of the street. There was plenty of space and the home was very clean. We loved the location as it was a bit quieter and relaxing. Would love to come back!
Our family had a great stay at the house, which was clean and had everything we needed for a great vacation, in a lovely neighborhood. We had a wonderful vacation with Warrens Landing as our home base.
This is as described by other reviews - a comfortable older home in an unbeatable location - with deer wandering through the yard every day of our stay!
We love Madaket! Richard was great !
We will be returning!
House was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Plenty of room for our party of 8. Location is very convenient for the West End beaches and walking trails. Check in process was seamless and Mark was easy to communicate with. Will absolutely return!
The cottage was perfect for our vacation. There was ample parking, plenty of room, and everything was as advertised. We cooked in every night and were happy to find a kitchen with plenty of cookware and utensils. The home had everything we needed to be comfortable. The perfect Nantucket cottage and would stay again!

We loved the house, backyard and the neighborhood.
The house was great and Mark checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we needed.
This property was quiet and spacious. The owner was communicative, accommodating (let me drop off a car a day early) and truly cared about our needs. We would absolutely stay here again!
This is our family’s 4th year in a row staying at Special Place, and it was every bit as wonderful as always . We love the quiet Madaket neighborhood near bike path , tennis courts and especially the beautiful Madaket beaches . Mark is a fantastic host, provides everything needed for a relaxing beach vacation, is helpful with logistics and quick to answer any questions . Love Nantucket, love Special Place.
Cozy, friendly house and grounds in a wonderful little neighborhood. Convenient to Town, Madaket (Millies!) and beaches. We had 6 adults who all enjoyed it. Highly recommended!
Loved the house, neighborhood and proximity to beaches. Also access to tennis courts was a plus.
Some small nitpicks on the rental bikes conditions but the beach chairs were a pleasant surprise
We had a great week at this “Special Place”. So nice that the house was supplied with everything we could have needed. Convenient location and lovely neighborhood. Mark was a terrific communicator. Hope to stay again sometime.
This is our 3rd year at the Special Place and the experience gets better every. Last year whole house AC, this year kitchen upgrades. So convenent to Millie's and Downtown. Local beaches are less crowded than the major south shore beaches.
We utilized the beach path every day of our visit - the ocean water temp was in the mid/high 60's.
The Wave is running free this year. It turned out it was easier to NOT use our car!
The house had all the accommodations we could desire and zero shortcomings.
Thank you to our host!!
Location is super. The beach path to 40th Pole is right there; the kids and I walked it while their parents could drive right onto it. The neighborhood was safe for them to ride their bikes throughout and they loved having access to the tennis courts. Having the bus stop right at the end of the road was so convenient. Mark was right to call it “Happy Place”.
This was the perfect house for our family's Nantucket vacation. Great location, plenty of room, beautiful views! Walk/bike to the beach. Easy access to bike path, which we used a lot. Plenty of beach supplies - no need to bring any. Frequent visits by deer and rabbits too. Magical.
Thw house was very clean and well kept.
We hope to return in the future.

Special House
Stocked with everything you need for a summer stay in Nantucket. Had air units in each room, cleaning and laundry supplies, paper towels and toilet paper, tons of bikes, balls, tennis rackets, boogie boards and other beach toys, beach towels and chairs, ice chests... the house was a little cluttery and mildewy, but overall was a nice place to stay in a very quiet neighborhood with a bus stop close by if you don't have a car. Took us about 15-20 minutes to walk to 40th pole beach from the house which we thought was the best beach on the island. The water was playable for kids there instead of most of the beaches where big waves crash right on the shore and the sand was soft and you can drive your 4X4 vehicle onto the beach there as well so it's easy to unload beach gear.
This was our third stay at Special Place. Mark is an amazing host, the house had everything we needed for a wonderful Nantucket week. Most important to us , the location is just perfect, in beautiful Madaket , steps from bike path and minutes to beautiful beaches , in a quiet neighborhood, with a lovely very private deck -perfect for morning coffee or sunset cocktail. A week is never enough :)
We had such a great time at Eel Point. The location is fantastic and the house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The host was responsive and friendly. Would definitely go back!
