We absolutely LOVED Government Camp. The location is perfect for cruising down to the restaurants, store and ice cream shop. The home was the perfect place for our family get together. Lots of room to spread out and great spaces for everyone to sleep. The home was clean, kitchen was fully stocked, and the bathrooms had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed sitting in the hot tub after a fun day of exploring. Thank you for hosting us!
Great Pet Friendly place in Gov't Camp! We stayed a week for the Highschool State Snowboard Championships. Place was perfect for family, several teens and our puppa-roo. Three levels with two full kitchens and bath's on each floor. Very quiet and cozy. The kids loved the hot tub (it does take a while to heat :).
The place was great! It is a huge house for big group of people. Beds were comfortable. Hot-tub was clean. The kitchen was fully stock with plates and utensils. The host was very responsive and helpful. Thanks!
The three floors really worked for our three families. The location of the house offered access to skiing, tubing, and the town. We had a great week and family trip!

Cozy cabin
Three story cabin with 2 separate living spaces is perfect for multiple families. Plenty of room, close to the main strip, quiet, and surround by forest. I can imagine this place being awesome in the winter with snow!
We stayed here during our wedding weekend with our close friends and family. It was perfect and felt like a home away from home. There was so much space for everyone to feel comfortable. The hot tub was amazing and relaxing, perfect after the busy wedding day!
This house is awesome! It’s so close to everything in Government Camp, plenty of space for large groups, fully furnished with all you need and more, and so beautiful. The hot tub was perfect and so nice in the snow. We will be back!
Three level layout of home worked well for us. Convenient to downtown. We were there in summer for a wedding and were not there much to cook so cannot speak to kitchen amenities. Two of the bedrooms had no closets or space to hang things. Those bedrooms OK for kids. The top level had a shower door that would not slide close. Hopefully repaired by now. For a casual reunion, we would return.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear the home’s layout worked well for your group and that the location was convenient, especially for a summer wedding.
We appreciate you pointing out the lack of closet space in two of the bedrooms and the shower door issue on the top level. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and will be sure these are taken care of. Your feedback really helps us improve.
We’d be happy to welcome you back anytime and appreciate you considering us again for a future stay.
Very nice, spacious, great location, etc, but interior steps were VERY steep and a bit dangerous. Also there were some burned out -light bulbs.
PLENTY of room though for 7 adults and 4 children.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Hot tub didn't work, was informed the day we arrived. Was offered 70 "hot tub fee" refund - we all know that having a hot tub increases their revenue by more than 70. Hot tub shut off switch next to the hot tub is not functional - the hot tub kept cycling on and off every 30 seconds, it sits right outside the main living room. Upon check-in, discovered the primary shower was nonfunctional and they hadn't bothered to let us know. Main bathroom sink drain leaks inside cabinet, which got all the towels wet with waste water. Gross.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re very sorry for the issues you experienced during your stay. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this must have been.
Regarding the hot tub, based on the fee included in your reservation, the hot tub fee is $70, which we have already refunded immediately. We’re sorry it was not available and for the inconvenience caused by the cycling issue and shut-off switch.
We’re glad to share that both the primary shower and the sink have already been resolved.
We truly appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention and will use this feedback to improve moving forward.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location was great - walking distance to restaurants and shops, but off the main road to keep things quiet. There was also plenty of room for our two families and the updates were appreciated. Negatives would be that (1) the main floor kitchen was lacking in cooking utensils and many of the pans were quite old; (2) the first floor kitchen was supplied with only the bare essentials (silverware, a couple of cups and glasses); (3) the sheets and pillows should be replaced with newer.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are happy to hear you found the location great and had plenty of room for your two families to enjoy! I do apologize if the kitchen was lacking anything, had we known what may have been needed we would have been happy to help. As you can imagine it is hard to think of everything that different guests would enjoy. We will also be doing an inventory of the kitchen items mentioned and will be sure to replace whatever may have been missing along with evaluating the sheets & pillows as mentioned.
It was a pleasure hosting you and we would love for you to visit again!
This house was located a short walk from the local restaurants and a short drive to the ski resorts. The set up was great for our two families, including young adults and teenagers. There is a lot of space to stretch out and there are 3 living areas with tvs. My only complaint is the super high fees we paid to VRBO, including two hot tub cleaning fees that weren't warranted. The house is great but I would book directly next time.

Property was pleasant. Had to clean hot tub to use it. First night when all went to bed was awakened by granddaughter because that room had bed bugs. Left the next day due to conditions

Nice property with several separate spaces to spread out
We enjoyed our stay at the "Mountain Rose" ask Majestic Mountain Retreat. It was clean, comfortable beds, and was well stocked for cooking/dining at home. This cabin is nicely decorated - updated and comfortable/cozy. I've stayed in many rentals in Govy and this is my new favorite. Nice that I could bring my small dog along also. I only docked one star in my review because the map pin in the listing is not reflective of the actual location. Location is not up in Alpenglade, it's just right off the main loop road closer to Summit. I will say the location worked fine for us - no road noise inside the home with the windows closed. I let the property management company know about the map pin and they responded promptly and were going to try and get that updated on vrbo. Overall, I recommend this cabin and will stay here again for sure!

Perfect in Every Way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our first time at Mountain Rose, and we had an amazing stay!
Everything was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated.
The biggest bonus was having three floors that are each like their own condo.
This allowed for different activities to go on without an overload of media or noise... We had tv football on one floor, art on another, X-Box on another.
And in addition, a large, covered hot tub and a lovely outdoor fire pit.
Our littles made fairy houses outside and welcomed them. Notes were exchanged. It was magical, including a trip up to our historical Timberline lodge, with enough snow for crunching around and making snow angels.
The whole family wants to come back!!!
Thank you for everything.
We recently stayed at this lovely rental in Government Camp and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like who enjoy hiking trails, and viewing lakes and forests. The rental is located near Trillium Lake and Mirror Lake, both of which offer stunning views and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.
The rental itself was clean, cozy and well-equipped with everything we needed (including 2 kitchens!) for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary appliances to cook meals. The living room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the surrounding forest.
While the WiFi at the rental was slow, it didn’t detract from our overall experience. In fact, it was nice to disconnect from technology and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.
Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. The location is unbeatable and the rental itself is comfortable and well-equipped. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing stay!!
The house in Government Camp was incredible!!!! We had a group of 10 adults and the house provided the perfect space for all to come together and hang out, while also having the setup/ample room for everyone to spread out and each have their own area/space. The pictures are incredibly accurate, the house was spotless and was located in the perfect location for a basecamp for our Mt Hood adventures.
Check in was super easy with an access code that was provided days before check in. After arrival we rec’d a couple of texts to make sure our visit met our expectations. We had one small hiccup while there…when we arrived, there was very little/zero water pressure. The kitchen sink shot out air and most of the other faucets had a mere drip. Not exactly sure what the issue was, we let it go for a few hours hoping it would remedy itself. By the evening it wasn’t better so we reached out to the managing company. They responded back quickly and someone was at our house in record time to trouble shoot. Problem was solved and we were back in action!!!
The hot tub was the perfect way to wind down and relax after long days of hiking and running.
Overall, the house was perfect. If ever visiting the area again, I will be renting the same home.

Mountain Rose Review
Pros and cons to this property. The pros are the fantastic location to Govy and ski resorts. Had two kitchens, lots of living space for everyone to spread out and comfortable beds. Some of the rooms had been updated and there was a lot of cute boho type decor (if decor is important in a rental). The property fit two families easily. There were a number or space heaters which worked great. The property management was also very responsive and helpful we we needed things (see below).
The cons were the lack of kitchen items. There were very few spoons and minimal pots. I'd advise bringing your own "extra" items if making something for a larger group. We also had an issue the first night where the downstairs fire place was not working after a few correspondence and sending pictures, the property management sent someone out to fix the issue which got resolved fairly quickly. We were encouraged to use the wall heat in the main bed downstairs but it was broken. The floors throughout were not very well cleaned, we all had dark grungy socks with debris on them by the end of our first evening. The property could really benefit for a solid "go through" to fix what is broken, clean up the spills on the walls, toss the bean bag chair that has rust stains, etc.
