Located in Metchosin 30 minutes from Victoria and Sooke. The Hidden Pond spacious family suite is perfect for your family or group getaway or anyone looking for peace and tranquility. Two bedrooms include a large primary (King ) with futon coach and a bunkhouse room (two double and two single bunk beds) both with full ensuite bathrooms making this versatile space works for large families. Full kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, large living space with fireplace opens onto the large covered deck for all-season indoor and outdoor living and dining with spectacular pond and forest views. Hot tub, private beach, swimming pond, firepit, trails, and orchard on 10 private acres make this an oasis with so much to offer. This newly renovated suite can be booked to join with our Hidden Pond Gong Suite for a full property buy-out.

Please note this suite has stairs and it is a walk down to the pond , so this might not be a great option for anyone who has mobility issues.

An amazing and unique property in an incredible location! So pleased we chose to stay here, the pond was incredible for us and our children, we had a lot of fun! Lovely touches like muffins and cookies on arrival too. Would highly recommend and would love to stay here again if we are back on Vancouver Island!

The location was wonderful and provided both tranquility and comfort for a long overdue weekend with girlfriends from different city’s. Lots of space and extra decor touches. Beautifully decorated and the most comfortable beds and pillows! The fresh fruit and baking was such a treat and nice touch. Will definitely be back.

This house was very nice, clean and friendly hosts! They allowed our dog in the house and around the property, which was pretty, had walking trails and a pond. We had everything we needed and they even left a few snacks . Great place, would stay again!

We cannot express how great our stay at Hidden Pond was! Rob (Jo-ann was away) went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay and he succeeded ten fold. The property was beautiful and the place had plenty of room for our girls weekend. We did not have kids or pets this time but can see the potential for everyone to enjoy the space, children and furry friends alike. Again, such great hosts. Highly reccomend Hidden Pond.

The Hidden Pond was the perfect property for our family of 6. Don’t be fooled by the photos of the space, because it is larger than the photos make it feel. The bunk room was super cute and the kids loved it! The master bedroom was massive and there are windows and doors galore letting in lots of natural light to the Master bedroom and main living area. The property has AC which was very welcoming with the hot weather that we experienced for our week there. The grounds were very well kept, which has to be a massive undertaking on its own! The pond was perfect, with a good mix of sun and shade throughout the day. Jo-Ann and Rob were fantastic hosts. Very welcoming and very quick at responding to any and all questions we had. 10/10 would recommend to anyone considering staying here. The kids are already saying that we NEED to come back next year, and I don’t disagree.

This place is so unique! The surroundings are beautiful and worth the short drive from Victoria. The cute little pond and lots of space inside were hits with our group. Jo Ann is so welcoming and friendly and the place had little touches that make you feel welcome. Highly recommend.

10/10 stay! We spent 7 nights here and couldn't have been happier. The home was exceptional: it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. The kitchen was the best stocked we've ever seen in a vacation rental! We also appreciated the thoughtful extras like muffins, fruit, and treats for the kids. The property was beautiful! The pond was great for swimming, and the boats provided hours of entertainment for our kids. The walking trail and surprise forest “office” was really cute and fun. The hot tub was great for the cooler evenings. Our host was friendly and responsive when we had any questions. A beautiful property and an amazing experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Host left some baked goods and fruits to welcome us and even had bathrobes for the kids! The amenities were great! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need and more! Hot tub, pond, walking trails, fire pit and fire place. The pond was very popular for all of us…. Puppy included! Cozy and warm with ample space to spread out as well! Kids are already asking to come back next time. Thank you Jo-Ann and Rob for a very comfortable and luxurious stay!

Hi, we are Rob and Jo-Ann Kevala. We are both semi-retired now and enjoy life on this amazing 10 acre property. Never a shortage of gardening! We love dogs and have three of our own on the property. We welcome visitors with their own pets. Our goal in opening Hidden Pond was to share this amazing property with other amazing people and provide a luxury option for people who want to travel with their own pets.

Why they chose this property

Hidden Pond became a reality in 2020. As we began to develop our property and build trails through the forest we found an amazing spring-fed pond hidden in the woods. Alot of landscaping and a year of work we spent reclaiming this pond from the wild. Today it is the home of a private beach, pergola and where we spend our summer and winter months

What makes this property unique

Hidden Pond is a unique retreat. Often people come planning to visit Victoria and Metchosin, then find the pond and don't leave the property for their stay. Whether you choose to relax in the hot tub, sit on the beach, wander the forest trails on the property, play with your pet in the orchard or warm your toes at the firepit in the evenings you won't find a more relaxing getaway.

We operate as both a Bed and Breakfast and vacation rental so lots of options for your stay. This suite can also be rented to join with the other Hidden Pond Gong Suite.
