The host communicated very well with us making entry to the property very easy. It was nice and clean and quaint. Within walking distance to everything we needed. We would definitely recommend it or stay again.
It was very clean and ready for our stay, no issues at all. Hosts were very prepared and friendly. Only would have liked a small side lamp for a side light instead of just having a very bright main light overhead to turn on.Otherwise a really lovely place to stay!
Communication was good. Our reservation was for two but the room only had accommodation and amenities for one, eg, one single chair, one very narrow shelf screwed to the wall (table??).
The room was charming, even on a rainy day , it was nice to just sit and look at the ocean.

Excellent location for a chill getaway in nature. It’s so peaceful here! The birds are absolutely magical. Close to town and right on the water with all amenities. Couldn’t ask for anything better! Highly recommended!
A great cozy place to stay right on the water. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating.

It’s a cute little bedroom with a fridge and a toaster oven. The separate entrance and parking were good. I would suggest putting an electric frying pan in the unit. Cooking in a toaster oven is not good, practically impossible. I would suggest having some hooks in the bathroom to hang a few clothes while showering. There was a BBQ but it was dirty and if raining out like it was then not useful. The bed was very firm and not to my liking. The TV was on the wall at the side of the bed so you had to prop yourself us sideways. There wasn’t any cable so all we could watch was YouTube. The internet was reliable. It’s a very small unit, like a car garage converted into a bedroom/bathrom. Location is good.
I can’t say enough good things about our stay. The room was perfect and the sheets!!! Yall…I went home and purchased the same ones. It’s all in the details with this place. While you’re here, buy sure to go on a whale watching tour with Ocean EcoVentures, grab a drink and some crab cakes at the pub and everything for the Cook and Butcher is phenomenal!!

Cute little space. Worked well for our short stay.
Loved being able to be on the water even if just needing 1 bedroom was amazing suite only thing could have made it even better was if had a washer/dryer lol but all other amenities were available & lovely
This one room bungalow with separate bathroom was perfect for an overnight stay. The view was amazing from the little deck off the back. Great food just a short walk away. My only suggestion would be black out blinds and being able to turn off the fan on the ceiling.
Location excellent. Nice clean accommodation. Bit of problem with communication with manager as we were driving thru unserviced areas. Would very much like to go back.
I really enjoyed my stay at Cowichan Bay in Danielle's guest house. The suite was quiet, nicely decorated, cozy and comfortable. There is a private sitting area with a partial view of the marina. I enjoyed hearing the sealions on the doc in the morning. The town is lovely with an excellent coffee house and bakery steps away. And a handful of options for lunch and dinner. I'd stay here again for a weekend getaway.

Lovely little space. The bed was a little too hard, and there were a lot of noises in the night if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise wonderful and will come stay again for the price.

I really enjoyed our stay! Lovely view, great communication from the hosts, clean space, lots of kitchen amenities. The only downside is what you are getting is ambiguous. The listing shows you have access to laundry, but you do not. Also, you share the deck with the main house, which means you are at the mercy of whoever is staying there. Luckily the folks staying there were very respectful and didn’t invade our privacy. The section of the deck you get is right in front of the sliding doors. You can walk out to the end of the dock, but that means walking in front of the other units glass sliding doors (including their sliding glass bedroom doors) to get there. Feels like you are trespassing and I wouldn’t like that if I was renting the main space. The host said the laundry is only for the main unit, but it is listed in the smaller cottage as well which is misleading.
Great location for mooching in local shops and cafes etc. We loved the outlook over the water and access to the deck (although access was shared with next door and we weren't fully sure if all involved were clear about this). The space is small but pleasant and full of character and we had all we needed. Communication with the manager was great. For us it might have been extra helpful to have found some simple written instructions inside the property with WiFi code and instructions for TV (which took us a while to figure!). Good value. We really enjoyed our stay, many thanks.
Well thought out, comfy firm clean warm bed. Close to shops and restaurants along the Cow Bay frontage. Nice local seafront walk. Kayak rental just a few steps away. We had a lovely relaxing overfed time. We even popped over to Bright Angel Park for a little swim in the river, and popped into the local Thrift store and found a cute little treasure for a friend who didn’t get to come! Do your research before you come, loosely plan, check when the places you want to visit are closed and then come and enjoy and relax! Maybe visit the Cidery on the way in, buy some to go…
