Beautiful cabin. Very well stocked and maintained. Very nice views. Only small negative is the long dusty gravel road entry

This was the perfect place to stay. The kitchen was more well stocked than even my own!! The place was very clean and had comfy beds. The description of the place is completely accurate. We will definitely stay here again and I would recommend to others!

A nice location

The house was well prepared and very clean. The yard was fantastic for children and the fenced area would be great for pets. A nice play for us to stay while attending a family reunion.

Wonderful weekend getaway

This house was above and beyond our expectations! Very clean and comfortable! We had a group ranging from 8 to 86 and everyone had a ball! The fenced in backyard was a nice bonus as we had our little dog with us! Will definitely book again next year for our family trip to get our Christmas tree in Sparta!

Best log cabin in the NC mountains!

Beautifully designed log cabin. The nicest cabin I have ever rented in the mountains, and I have been vacationing there for 35 years. Well worth the cost. Everything you could possibly want is there. Excellent layout for pets, the fencing design was special. I’m ready to go back.

We loved this home. It was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. The fireplace was so cozy. The outdoor space was really nice with a pretty view. We booked it for the fenced yard for our pups which was much appreciated. It is nice that the decks attach to the fenced yard so we didnt have to leash them to get to it. We cooked a lot and appreciated both the kitchen and the grill. We would definitely stay again. The center of town was about 15 minutes away which worked out well! Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful home!!!

Came to town for a sibling reunion. Wonderful home, great location, beautiful area. Very clean, big rooms. Four adult couples, yet enough space to get away for quiet time. Plenty of deer watching. Early morning was my favorite - sitting on the back porch, coffee in hand, listening to the birds. Highly recommend this home!!

Great reunion of friends!

We stayed with our friends, kids and dogs at Crazy Like a Fox. It is a beautiful, quiet, safe location. A comfortable and gorgeous home. We loved the fenced yard for the dogs, and sometimes the kids! It was too cold to use the fire pit, but we enjoyed the fireplace in the cabin. Sparta is a quick drive and a very cute town to visit. Would come back again!

Sparta Gem

My family and I had a wonderful holiday vacation at this property. It was very clean organized and detailed. The cabin comfortably fit 8 adults and 2 Dogs. The back yard was fenced in and had plenty room for the dogs to run around. The bedrooms were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware and glassware. Sparta is a lovely quite area to meander around and just enjoy!

Within a few minutes of starting my shower, the water in the tub had backed up above my ankles, and the sink upstairs was also holding water. Additionally, the upstairs bed was dirty, with visible hair and a crunchy white substance on the bedding. A lot of the kitchenware like pots, pans, strainer and baking sheets had visible food still on them. A few minor things like one of the fooseball entry holes was broken, dead flies on the floor, stink bugs on the bed.

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback. What you described is far below our usual standards, and we understand how disappointing that must have been. Our cleaning and maintenance teams have already addressed the issues you mentioned. The drain has been cleared, the bedding replaced, and the kitchen items rewashed and inspected. We’ve also scheduled additional quality checks to ensure this doesn’t happen again. To future guests, please don’t hesitate to let us know right away if you notice any maintenance or cleanliness issues during your stay. We will do our best to address them promptly and make things right.

Excellent home!

Your Comments Our family gathered at Crazy Like a Fox for the Labor Day weekend and enjoyed every minute. The house delivered everything we expected. Our one small question (where are the pool balls?) was answered quickly and satisfactorily by Stay Blue Ridge. We had the space we needed for everyone to sleep comfortably, even my 7 month old grandson’s pack and play fit easily in one of the spacious bedrooms. The deck and grounds were lovely and accommodated all our outdoor leisure time. The fire pit is great and there are plenty of shade trees. We didn’t even leave to explore the area because the spot was so beautiful! It was a pup’s paradise too. We cooked all our meals at the house and even baked a birthday cake. We found the kitchen to be well supplied. Overall a great trip! We would love to return!

Not ready for winter rental

Home space and layout ok. Stink bug infestation in upper level due to uneven heat distribution among floors. Freezing lower level, ok main floor, sweltering upper level. Onky one unit. Lost water for 2 days. No help from property manager. Got some water back (hot water only in some areas) day before we left. Long drive to dispose of trash. Would not recommend in winter.

We're so very sorry to hear you were disappointed in your stay. As explained, we were experiencing record-setting, frigid temperatures (-20's in some areas with the wind chill) that weekend and many homes throughout the mountain counties had no water. The plumbers had hundreds of homes they were trying to service over the holiday weekend, and they could not get to everyone. Thankfully the temperatures warmed back up the next day, and the water returned to normal. We’ve also added a propane heater to the lower level and alerted the pest company about the stink bugs. This is not the normal review we receive for this great property. Future guests, please check out all the other excellent reviews.

Crazy Like a Fox is a fun cabin outside Sparta. The all wood cabin was beautiful, especially the great room with fireplace. We spent a weekend there with family - three generations) and even though it rained there was plenty to do inside with the foosball table and pool table. We did make a few short hikes in the area between showers. The fenced in back yard was great for the dogs as well. The only down side was the broken dish washer.
