Nice home on the banks of the White River, with pedestrian access to the river via steps. Geared primarily for fishing on the White River, the property is within a 10 minutes of primary access points of both the Norfork River and the White River near Norfork, AR. Home was clean, with modern amenities. The beds, sheets and towels were very comfortable and the HVAC system worked well. The owners were extremely helpful and available and they allowed our dogs to stay which was a requirement for us. Nice weekend and caught some fish to boot!!

We're so glad you enjoyed the home and the riverside access for fishing on the White and Norfork Rivers. It's wonderful to hear the beds, sheets, and A/C all made for a comfortable stay, and that being Pet-friendly worked out well for your trip with the dogs. Thank you for sharing these details, and congrats on the fish!

Thanksgiving at the Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Norfork Getaway. The home was cozy, the kitchen well stocked, and very pet friendly. The house location makes Norfork and the local fishing/boat accesses easily accessible.

Great property and great host

Cabin was just like the pics and description and Kyle was a great host providing good timely communication. Caught plenty of fish didn’t hurt either but I have stayed at other places on the White and this the best!

Great time

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and really nice decorated. Our danish friend loved the river view, so we spend a lot of time outside or on the enclosed porch.

Great spot

We had a lovely time. A little disappointed that there was only one dishwasher pod but hand washing dishes isn’t the worst thing!

We enjoyed our stay in this older home — it was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. One of our favorite parts was having coffee each morning on the back porch while taking in the beautiful river view. The only drawback was that the large master bedroom didn’t have curtains on the windows, so we opted to sleep in the second bedroom instead, which at least had partial curtains. Overall, a pleasant stay in a peaceful setting.

From the owner: “I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. I do not have curtains on the master bedroom windows because they face the river. There is no one around to peek in."

Peaceful

Everything went smooth with the whole process. We loved everything except for the beds, they were a lil on the hard side for us. The screened in porch was nice also.

Norfork trip

Was a nice place. Yard needed mowing pretty bad. Beautiful area overall, on the White river, quiet, peaceful. . Need a new cleaning service. Lots of cobwebs around the fireplace and t v. Other than that, we were quite satisfied. We're definitely planning on staying there again and bringing friends next time.

From the owner: "I am so glad to hear that you had a great time. I am sincerely sorry about the condition of the place when you arrived. We had some really bad storms just before your visit, and it made it impossible to mow the lawn. I hope the next time you come, everything will be just the way you like it! I have realized that I will leave the cleaning to the professionals from now on. We are looking forward to hosting you and your friends again soon."

Amazing view and home with tons of conveniences

Our stay at Getaway was wonderful. Our family has been coming to Norfork for years and we have stayed at many places along the way. Getaway offered us one of the best accommodations to date. All around perfect! The location was great, right on the river! Plenty of seating including an outdoor enclosed patio. View was awesome - birdseed provided for the feeders which added a layer of viewing pleasure for our stay! Every utensil, pot, pan, dishware you need is there - we made use of the mini waffle maker every morning and a grill we used often! A couple MORE bonuses - there was a game and puzzle table and there was also a dish of provided convenience toiletry item you may have forgotten to bring - (very handy and thoughtful)! We certainly hope to reserve it again sometime in the future. Thanks for sharing your place.

This property has a gorgeous back yard right on the White River. There are neighbors close by but we never seen or heard them. The property was well stocked with coffee, sugar, toiletries, cooking ware and utensils, etc and was very clean. The host was very sweet and quick to respond. My only complaints would be the shower water pressure was non-existant and lack of curtains. We were not able to sleep in due to the sunlight coming in the bedroom windows. I did notify the host of the water pressure and he was quick to respond that they would have a plumber come out and check on this.
