Welcome to Anna Banana, our three-bedroom home with a private pool located on the North End of Anna Maria Island. The sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico beckon from three houses away. Pack up the beach wagon and head out for the day to enjoy the sun and sand.

Our single level ranch home provides a home base for all of your island exploring. With a large sectional sofa, full kitchen and dining and a beachy theme, this is the vacation home you've been dreaming of.

Your guests will have the choice of three bedrooms; the master has a king bed and ensuite bathroom, a guest room with another king bed or a bedroom with a queen bed. The queen sofa bed in the living is also available for any additional guests. Each bedroom has a TV and includes crisp linens and plush towels from our professional linen company. Your guests will stay connected with complimentary WIFI and enjoy all of the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer.

When not frolicking in the sea, the tropical backyard features a sparkling pool surrounded by loungers, an outdoor shower, gas grill and patio dining table under a tiki umbrella.

Anna Banana is easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and convenient to the free island trolley, which travels the entire length of the 7 miles of the island. Hop on and off at your leisure and explore shopping, dining and the beaches. The perfect location for your next beach vacation!

Lovely house – great company to rent from

We really liked this house – Fir is a great little street if you want North End calm without being too far from Pine and the restaurants. The house was really cozy and the pool is good. All in all, we really liked the house and had a great time there.

Easy Beach Getaway

Great small beach house, private pool is a plus, quick 1 minute walk to the beach. A large house is being built behind the property so privacy will be limited when completed.

One additional remark. Dana at AMLVR was so great to work with, she worked within our budget and even though we changed our mind, she was very accommodating. We recommend them any time you would like to book a vacation at the beach, they do not disappoint!

It’s been renovated, but I do find the dishwasher to have a certain smell and the sofa and arm chairs are stained pretty severely. The shower heads were pretty old, as well. It’s an ideal place if you just need somewhere to lay your head at night while frolicking around in the sun during day time.

Great Location, Almost Perfect!

The location was great, just a short walk to the beach. House has a great layout. The pool would have been amazing if the heater was working. They did try several times to fix it, but to no avail. We have been advised the heater is being replaced so hopefully it's fixed for any future guests.Based on recent reviews it may have been broken for a few weeks. There are beach chairs and a cart but the chairs could stand to be replaced.

Great beach house!

We got off to a rocky start with a fridge on the fritz, but AMI Life's maintenance staff had us up and running within a day with a new unit. Its a "just right" house, not really big but big enough for an extended family (4 adults, 2 teens, and a pre-K child). Its close enough to the beach to allow for a short walk and no street crossings. Met some really great neighbors who are quite proud of some of their unique architecture (it helped that my wife and I were local residents from way back and knew some of the people who lived on AMI a long time ago). It was pretty warm last week and the pool was a savior. The kids adored the pool. If not on the beach they were at the pool and if not there, then anywhere on AMI enjoying the eateries and shops. We also visited the Desoto Memorial and Ringling - two interesting points not very far away. It was great for my 6:30 AM beach walks, too -not too far from Bean Point. The cornhole boards and putting area were a nice touch, too.

Good location, nice pool area, noisy street corner. Beach chairs are cheap, bean bags are old. Kitchen utensils and pots and pans are sub par, cheap. We had one frying pan that was usable. Kitchen ice maker doesn't work, dryer makes a loud noise. Grill is cheap. There is no exhaust fan in the 2nd bathroom. No mirrors in bedroom 2 and 3. Mattresses are really bad and pillows are so cheap and not comfortable. No games to play.

Fantastic location, perfect for seniors and small families!

We have rented multiple times on Anna Maria Island and always enjoyed our stays. Anna Banana is the first place we would return to because of its location and comfort. We hosted several senior citizens here over two weeks and each loved the ease of going to the beach, sitting by the pool, walking to Pine Ave for coffee/shopping, and sleeping in a comfortable bed with lovely hot showers. It took a day to figure out the complicated tv system and outdoor lighting but the Anna Maria Life team came to our rescue when we called. We would have appreciated a guide book that was unique to this rental rather than generic to all. Also, and this applies to any rental that provides a single roll of toilet paper/bathroom, it would be wonderful to just move in without worry. If I could change one amenity, though, it would be to add handicap bars in both bathrooms to accommodate the seniors who might struggle with the high-sided tubs. A second suggestion would include adding some beach toys and boogie boards--the waves were magnificent!

Issues

We never had a washer that worked. Someone did come and work on the washer but when we did use it on Thursday evening stains were left on our clothes. Also, the dishwasher does not work properly. Was really disgusting when we arrived with food at the bottom of the dishwasher. Also, much sand was still on the floor when we arrived. We definitely left the house cleaner then when we arrived. I would like to talk to someone about these issues.

Anna Banana is an awesome getaway for a small group

Can't say enough about this house- we were very please with Anna Banana for our week's vacation. For a small group/family, this house is in a perfect location for quick (1 block) access to the beach and short walks to most of the great shops/restaurants on the norther part of the island. The area is relatively quiet during the day and night. The house (inside) was very clean and beautifully decorated. The rooms were good size and the beds comfy. The kitchen had all the amenities one would need. The living area was a great size and provided enough space for the four of us that stayed. The outside is phenomenal also. The outdoor shower is new and clean and very good at getting sand off before going in the pool. The three putt-putt golf holes and bags set up were fun . The pool is a great size and gets sun for most of the day. The new outdoor sitting area with lights and a fan were spot on to relax and get out of the heat of the day. We did a have a few questions and couple of minor issues (bad light switch for instance) related to things in the house and I was impressed by the promptness, professionalism and quality of work provided by the Anna Maria Life Vacation team. We are looking forward to coming down to the island again.

Outright rental property

We have stayed in AMI for over 15 years. COVID greatly limited our usual rental options so we wanted to try something new. Anna Banana fit the bill in many ways - the pool and the location alone were worth the cost. But the house is not one of those where you know and actual person owns it and comes to stay there each year. It had all the signs of an investor property only- mismatched decor, the mattress was broken, the cleaning had not been thorough (baseboards and ceiling fans were filthy). Kitchen is not appointed with much. Severe lack of good linens or extra blankets and quality pillows. Other places that have actual owners who visit on their own have much more care and attention to the house itself. It was fine - and again location could not be beat. Property Management was top notch as well. Did all they could to replace the completely broken mattress. Not sure we would rent again, if the other rentals we lean on open up.

Nice, but needed a good cleaning

We enjoyed our stay except for the black mold in the showers and bathroom floor and filthy rugs. The rental company had to come out 3 different times because we didn’t have enough hot water for an entire shower. We had to run the dryer twice to get a load of laundry dry.

Anna Banana was the perfect place for our family of six. Location was great with close proximity to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Just steps to the beach and a short walk or golf cart ride to Pine St. I think we only got in our car twice this week! We also loved having the option of the pool just outside the back door. We will be back!

Heated Pool!! Short walk to the beach! :)

We stayed at Anna Banana for one week with 3 small children under 5 years of age. The property was very well kept with a nice beach decor and modern vibe. The kitchen was fully stocked. We ate meals at home and we had everything we needed for cooking. The only items you will need to buy would be spices, paper towel etc. There was also an outdoor gas grill that we used frequently (the property manager told us that once we ran out of gas they will replenish the gas tank which was a nice gesture). Fridge was equipped with water and ice maker, a big plus considering the amount of drinks we consumed (again we had 3 children!). Two beach towels were provided for each bedroom. Each bathroom had one roll of toilet paper only so grab some on your way in at Publix (Publix has great assortments of fresh produce, including organics). Since we had 2 families staying in separate bedrooms, what was super convenient was the separation of the 2 rooms. One family stayed in the master (with a small child) while the other had a separate 2 bedroom “unit” with hallway and a bathroom. In this unit was also laundry/dryer machine. My favorite part of the house was by far the heated pool - our children splashed all day while we…well, consumed our drinks :) Also, the distance to the beach was 3 minutes. We would grab coffee at The Donut Experiment and take long stroll at the beach. The water wasn’t warm enough to swim in (not for the kids anyway) so having the pool was life saving. My least favor part were the mattresses in our beds - I would agree with the other reviewers that those need to be replaced. They were too soft and sagging so both my husband and I often woke up with back pain and slept poorly because we were sleeping in a hole. Overall, we had a great stay and would come back (if they replace the mattresses) :)

Great location and pool! Amenities inside the home were lacking.

Having been to AMI many times it was our first time at this property. The location was great!!! The pool was our favorite part! The kitchen was lacking anything for those who enjoy cooking - it was far too basic to serve our family of 5. No pantry items were made available (s&p, etc) We found ourselves eating out over cooking because it was unpleasant to pull off meals for our family. The other amenities could use improvement. For example the couch has lost all support in the cushions, the beds are soft and saggy and no house keeping supplies beyond a kitchen sponge, dish soap and hand soap were provided. (No trash bags, etc) while this sounds rather negative we did have a nice vacation. We are not sure we will come back to this property due to some of these factors and our experience at other properties in the Same price range.

Great House, Great Pool, Great Location

The house is in the perfect location. It is just under a block from the beach which gives you some time to shed some sand before getting back. The first impression of the pool is that it is small but we quickly realized that it's the perfect size for lounging in after a day in the sun. The house is decorated beautifully with all elements, from the walls to the comforters, working together. The king bedroom, twin bedroom, and both bathrooms are nicely sized; however, the queen bedroom is a little tight. The family room is tight as well, but, who goes on spring break to sit inside? We spent our evenings either at the beach or sitting around the pool. Regarding the kitchen, a few of the pots and pans could use a refresh but, overall, it was nicely stocked with everything we needed for the week. I would definitely recommend Anna Banana as our group really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent house for a family vacation

We enjoyed our time at Anna Banana. We used the pool every day; while not totally private, the greenery was enough that most people on the road didn't even know we were there. My daughter loved being able to walk down to Anna Maria Donuts for breakfast. The beach is close by, but be aware that there is a lot of sand to walk through before you reach the water. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. Looking at the beach, it got progressively more crowded the further south you went, so this location is great if you want a little more room to yourself on the sand.
