Beautiful location but horrible experience!
Worst experience ever. After booking I was told I needed to complete a rental agreement prior to finalizing my booking. I was uncomfortable signing it so asked that my booking be cancelled. Received a message thanking me for booking with them and asking if I wanted to come a day early. Then received all the check-in information. I assumed they hadn't cancelled our reservation so we decided to stay there. Upon arrival had trouble with the keycode unlocking the door. Two hours after check-in, received an automated message on how to use the lockboxes and directing us to a video. Based on the video we determined our lockbox was low on batteries. I messaged the owner asking that he fix this immediately so we didn't get locked out of our unit. A few hours later received an automated message seeing if everything ok and providing a number to reach someone if needed. This info would have been greatly appreciated earlier rather than receiving all the automated messages. The first night we were there we had people try to get into our unit. They were banging on the door and windows and attempted to open the door a number of times. Thankfully the lockbox wasn't working properly so the code they had didn't work. Texted owner saying leaving early because felt unsafe and requested a refund for stay. Got a response asking to send a video of the lock. Also messaged in VRBO app. Response was thanks for staying, would you like to stay another night and please give 5 star rating. Unacceptable!
