Our whole stay was fantastic. The amenities, the breakfast supplies, the location, the communication. Nothing was overlooked. We didn't expect to have use of household staples, but we did.

Barossa Vintage Festival weekend getaway

Excellent in all respects. Quite possibly the best "home away from home" set-up ever in a wonderful historic building. Spacious yet cosy, quiet location, walking distance to the local pub and cafes/bakery. Highly recommended, we are definitely coming back.

Cosy stay in Lyndoch

What a lovely stay at a wonderful location in the Barossa. So clean and cosy, with great communication from the hosts. We so enjoyed the provisions for breakfast, and the combustion fire was an added treat. Thanks!

Four of us travelling together from Aotearoa - we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found Gordon very welcoming and informative. He and Heather have resourced the Inn with so much care and thoughtful consideration. They have created a living vintage/antique home away from home! There was NOTHING more we needed for a relaxing and excellent self catering stay. We loved the outdoor BBQ area. Special thank you to Gordon for agreeing to meet us in a few days again to grab the Barossa wines that were left behind! Awesome place.

Firstly our kind host Gordon met us at the door spent 10 minutes telling us a quick history of this beautiful home which was really good to hear, as it was a hot day the air conditioning was already on so we walked into a cool comfortable home right from the beginning . This stay is just perfect it has everything you need , comfortable beds , comfy home feel, equipped with a wonderful kitchen , games , good shower, nice outdoor seating, close to cafe, pub if eating out , we were supplied a wonderful breakfast with fresh juice and fresh eggs. It was perfect.

Heather has put a power of work into returning this property to its former glory with an historically sympathetic renovation, but clear idea of modern amenities and details with an incredibly well stocked fridge and pantry for breakfast options to start your day of exploring the Barossa! So many kitchen appliances for your extrnded stay, complimented by outdoor BBQ in a private undercover patio area. 3 exquisitely renovated bedrooms provide a restful night sleep after touring this iconic wine and food region .Definitely will be first option to check availability when back in the Barossa.

Gordon met us at the room. We were about 1 hour late and he was gracious about it. He gave us a tour of the accommodation and a little history about the building. Fascinating! The apartment was very well appointed. All the conveniences of home. Great kitchen and wonderful beds. Decorations were top shelf. If we ever get back to the Barossa Valley, this will be the center of our explorations.

Relaxing break in historic house

Heather was very easy to deal with and greeted us onsite with a very warm welcome. Then she politely left us alone to enjoy the entire historic house to ourselves for the week - until we needed firewood for the cosy fireplace. Thanks Gordon for prompt delivery! Heather even ensured the Easter Bunny arrived early. Lovely personal touches! We appreciated Heather's recommendations for some lazy long lunches - in leisurely long, walking distance from the house.

Beautiful house in the Barossa

What a beautiful house full of history and character in Lyndoch. This property comfortably housed the five of us for the weekend. It is spacious enough that everyone can their own space without falling over one another. We traveled in winter so the fire was a draw card and it made the home so cozy. The home has everything and more that you would ever require whilst on holiday, the hosts have definitely gone above and beyond in providing anything that you could possibly want or need. Heather met us at the house and gave a brief history of the property and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking at staying up in the Barossa Valley.

We are so glad you all enjoyed staying at our house. Thank you for choosing our place. We’d welcome you back anytime, especially utilising the other ‘end’ of the house for more people, accomodating a larger group….perhaps a Christmas/New Year family getaway? Thanks for enjoying and experiencing Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley!
