When traveling with a large group, you could reserve a block of rooms at a hotel. But it’s much more fun, convenient, and affordable to rent your own private lodge instead. Big Sky Lodge II, for instance, can sleep twenty-eight people and offers loads of amenities you won’t find in your typical hotel.
Take the two game rooms—yes, Big Sky Lodge II has two game rooms. The one on the top floor is home to Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga arcade game and a Wheel of Fortune pinball machine, as well as a flat-screen TV (one of ten in the lodge) and a large wet bar. The downstairs game room features a pool table, air hockey and a pub table for playing rummy or Uno. Also downstairs is a home theater with a large projection screen and cinema-style seating for twelve.
A huge great room makes up most of the lodge’s main floor. Sumptuous leather seating, a stone-surround fireplace, and a flat-screen TV make the living area an inviting place to unwind. With three long tables and a breakfast bar, the dining area can seat your entire group at once—you don’t have to eat in shifts when you stay at Big Sky Lodge II. Nor do you have to cook in shifts. The large, open kitchen has two full-size refrigerator/freezers, two ovens, loads of other appliances, cookware, and tableware, generous counter space, and more than enough room for several people to cook at once.
The lodge features seven bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms thoughtfully distributed across all three floors. The top floor has three primary suites, each with a king-size bed, a TV, a towering sloped ceiling, and a private bathroom. One of these bedrooms has a queen-size sleeper sofa as well, making it a great choice for parents with little ones in your group. Two of the upstairs bedrooms open onto a balcony, so you can slip outside to watch the sunrise without waking any of the others.
The main floor’s bedroom also has a king-size bed, a TV, and a private bathroom—and this bathroom has its own jetted tub for an extra bit of pampering. The three remaining bedrooms, which are downstairs, share two full bathrooms, with a powder room for added convenience. Two of these bedrooms feature a set of queen-size bunk beds; the third bedroom has a pair of queen-size bunk beds so that it can sleep eight people in all. These bedrooms, like the others, have their own TVs. And if you have a few more guests, each of the game rooms has a twin-size pullout bed.
If you think the inside of Big Sky Lodge II is fantastic, wait till you check out its outdoor spaces. The lodge has multiple decks and balconies furnished with plenty of rockers so that everyone can kick back and take a deep breath of fresh mountain air while gazing out over the old-growth trees. One of the decks has a hot tub as well. There’s no better way to admire the star-studded sky than while luxuriating among steamy bubbles after a day on the go.
Big Sky Lodge II also boasts a large private gazebo. The gazebo’s roof and ceiling fan will keep you cool on even balmy summer days, and its picnic table is an especially inviting spot for enjoying a meal or a snack. Just outside the gazebo is a park-style charcoal grill, so you can cook as well as dine alfresco.
Because Big Sky Lodge II has so many luxuries and amenities, you could have a great time without leaving the property. But then you’d be missing out on all the local attractions less than ten minutes away: the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop, Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park, the Guinness World Records Museum, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, mini golf, thrill rides…

Our group had such a great time staying here, there are so many spaces that even with 20 people it never felt crowded, but when it's time to come together the main floor works perfect.

Upon review, we don't see where you contacted our 24/7 Guest Services Team to report the issues regarding the televisions not working. There is nothing like spending time with family. We are pleased you were able to share time with your family at Big Sky Lodge II. Come stay with us again soon.
It is a good property. Nice accommodations for a large group, if you don’t mind dealing with all the rules of the rental company.

We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Big Sky Lodge II, Beth! And thank you for providing that honest assessment regarding the Agreement. We're always looking at it to see if we can make it more user-friendly.
This cabin was beautiful. Plenty of room for our family, we had 13 total, 11 adults and 2 children. Everyone had their own space, and plenty of room when we all got together. The only thing we missed was the mountain views. This cabin did not have the best mountain view, but we still loved our stay.
The property was great . Lots of space. Plenty of activities for young and old.
The property manager was very helpful and responded to our issues promptly.
Ted,
Thank you for your review. We would like to also thank you for choosing to stay with us. We are pleased that our Big Sky Lodge II could be accommodating for your large family.
We absolutely enjoyed ourselves in this cabin! Very spacious and welcoming. I've stayed in several cabins but none gave me the wow factor like this one did I hope to return soon! Pictures wowed us when first booking but we were in love from the moment we opened the door! Kids begged to never leave the cabin and they barely wanted to leave to explore the town! Will definitely rent this unit out again!
The house was beautiful and very spacious for our family vacation! The kitchen with 2 refrigerators was very spacious as well as the bedrooms. Wish there was more sofa /seating in the main living area however for guests. We loved the game room area on the lower floor as well as pinball games on the upper floor for all ages. The movie theatre was great too! Having 2 hot tubs was nice too. The view outside was lovely, but wish there were more chairs/rockers available. Bunk room mattresses need replacing with less than adequate support !
The property was clean and big enough for our family with nice location. Most things in the kitchen didn’t work correctly- the stovetop wouldn’t get hot enough to boil water, one of the fridges leaked and ice maker was broken, the dishwasher didn’t wash the dishes well. If we’d planned to do much cooking there it would have been a bigger problem.
The cabin itself was nice. Some of the furniture had obvious signs of wear and tear. One shower had broken knobs, and one of the bedrooms tv didn't work because of the internet. The internet worked only intermittently, which really was not good. On the plus side, maintenance did come and try to help out. they did what they could, which I really appreciated. All in all, not too bad. Everyone had a good time.

Ski trip
Maintenance was great and came out every time we called. I asked if there were two hot tubs prior to our stay and they said one. But there are two hot tubs. One worked better than the other. Lots of tiles cracked, scratched floors, not all tvs worked because of missing cables. The house could use some upgrades. The fireplace was terrible. It is Fake and no heat comes from it.
Overall, those were some minor things and it was a good house and we enjoyed our stay.

And we're always on the lookout for new ways to enhance the guest experience, so we've placed these suggestions at the top of our to-do list. Thanks again for being such an amazing guest!
Terrible upkeep on this location! didn’t even have safe beds for myself and 3 others. The handyman also agreed but could do nothing about it. I was hung up on by management. And told over and over that the call ends with her and i could not voice my concern to anyone but her. It was problem after problem .

Great Location, Bad House
There were many problems with the home.
- main floor shower leaked onto the counter of the lower level bunk room so it was unusable.
- broken shelves in the fridge, reduced space
- fridge leaked, we had to keep towels under it all weekend
- not enough towels for the amount of people we said would be there when booking
- no extra bedding for the pull out sofas
- broken flooring by the pool table
- Golden T didn't work
- Wi-Fi was poor, couldn't use the theater room, no DVD's provided and we didn't know we couldn't stream, this room went unused.
- only 6 outdoor chairs, this home sleeps over 20, not enough seating.
- many dirty dishes in the cupboard, had to clean everything to use it
- entire kitchen and dining tables were sticky
- garbage all over the street and ground by the dumpsters, no one cleaned it up all weekend, and it is under video survelance so it was clearly visible.
