Thank you so much for the warm review. We look forward to hosting you again.
We had a great time at this cabin, and the town of Wilmington had great spots for food and it's own charm. We'd definitely stay again.

Winter weekend getaway
We met family for a Christmas weekend getaway. The house worked out well enough. We expected the house to be a bit more modern and clean based on the pictures. The layout was a little rough with a mixture of adults and kids. The location was great and the clubhouse was the best part with the pool and movie room. As other people have said, the walkway down to the house can be a little tough for elderly family members especially with ice and snow. But it was new and beautiful including the deck.
We enjoyed our stay and all that the property had to offer. It is close by Mount Snow and all of the shops and restaurants. It was cozy and great to come back to at the end of a day of skiing. The house was stocked with supplies and all of the cabinets were nicely labeled as well.
Quintessential rustic VT getaway! We enjoyed the coziness, privacy, and well thought out details in this vacation home. Relaxation and rejuvenation from the daily grind is found here.
Great location for venturing out as well! A variety of activities are available at the Chimney Hill community clubhouse, downtown Wilmington, and of course - Mount Snow.

From the owner: "We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you back! Thank you for being such wonderful guests!"
There's a beautiful stream behind the house that the kids really enjoyed. The house was very nice. Only wish there had been blinds or curtains in the upstairs bedrooms and warmer comforters on the beds for this time of year.

From the owner: "We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you back! Thank you so much for your feedback! We will be adding heavier, comforters and installing blinds on the upstairs windows, we hope to see you soon!"
We really enjoyed the location and amenities. The house was very clean - which I really appreciated. The only thing we were slightly under prepared for were the roads in the neighborhood. They aren’t paved and get quite muddy so take them seriously when they say you need a proper AWD/4WD. It’s not only for when it is snowy.
Thank you for a lovely stay. We hope to come back some day.
This home has hygge! (danish word word for something that evokes a warm cozy feeling). Perfect for our ski weekend getaway. Very comfortable - included all the amenities to make us feel right at home. We made good use of the oversized comfy couch after skiing.
While the community clubhouse facilities were impressive, we were disappointed that the hot tub was not working properly. Hopefully it’s temporary, but maybe don’t count on it.

could be better
The setting was beautiful. The actual rental was much more rustic that pictured on line. The mice were a issue among all of us. We found a sock in one bedroom (not ours), a shoe under the bed (not ours), and overall cleanliness was below expectation. The stairs feel like the are rotting leading down to the main entrance. Fortunately, we did not stay in the rental much but out and about enjoying nature.
I went with my three kids, and we each had our own room! Big family room, huge deck, lots of room to spread out and relax. Due to the time of year, we had practically no neighbors up there in the woods, so it was wonderfully quiet, with no street traffic.
I did have to reach out to the property manager, because all of the outlets and switches on the 2nd floor stopped working on our first day there. Thankfully we could charge phones downstairs. It just ended up being really dark up there! But noone ever responded to my email, which was troubling.
GREAT location, great house (as long as the power works!). I would stay there again.

Owner's response: "We apologize for the inconvenience! Our property manager checked their inbox and their spam folder but they didn't receive an email; it seems like the email got lost somewhere in transmission! We leave our property manager's phone number as well for emergencies like these; we encourage all guests to call them if there is an immediate issue."

Great Stay but Could be Better
The house overall is beautiful however, it needs to be updated. I question the cleanliness of the home such as sectional sofa, linens, and blankets. It was a snow storm in which there was no shovel to clean entry way snow. Even so, I don't believe guests should be cleaning the driveway and entry way at all. There should be protocols in place for situations like this. A few of us slipped and fall which could have been avoided, if property management handle the matter. None the less, thankgiving reservation was a success and we enjoyed our time.

Hi Suzie, we truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts about your recent stay. Your feedback is essential to us, and we've relayed your comments to the homeowner, who would like to address the following:-We have a contracted service to shovel the walkway, though their timing may not always coincide with snowfall. We apologize for the lack of a shovel during your stay; one has now been replaced for added guest convenience.-The house is professionally cleaned between each guest stay, and this is the first feedback we’ve received about towels or linens. We are always here to assist and remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.-The heating mats have been repaired to ensure they effectively melt snow along the pathway moving forward. We're glad to hear that you had an enjoyable stay overall! Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.
We loved the feel of this rustic yet modern cabin. It had everything we needed and was the perfect getaway for us for a few nights of skiing at mount snow. The stairs and pathway to get down to the place are not ideal for older individuals with limited mobility as it can get slippery and we found the driveway very icy but that comes with the reality of living in New England. I just thought I would put this in here for those who are in their later years and have to consider their mobility. We are in our later 40's and have teen kids and we were fine and our parents were ok but required some assistance to get to the property. The only other request I would have is a coffee pot on site. We brought our own and used the small french press and the Keurig is a nice touch but some prefer to make a pot I would be a nice addition or just good to know what to expect as I wasn't sure from the listing. Other than that we thought the hosts had everything covered. The nest instructions had everyone baffled as we tried to play with the dial on the wall above the coffee keurig as instructed in the binder until my 16 year old showed us the tablet on the table as the way to change the temp. Maybe just indicate the nest is in the table?Best,Dawn
