Welcome to 318 Claressa Upper

This vacation home is the spacious upper level of a duplex. The open floor plan with a cathedral ceiling and large windows in the living room offer a very bright, light living space. Enjoy morning coffee or afternoon beverages on the balcony with partial ocean views, accessed from the living room through sliding glass doors. Prepare your meals in the well-stocked kitchen, which also has a bar height counter for enjoying meals and snacks or keeping the cook company. The living room has a wall/window air conditioner. You will find a Cal king bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper for extra sleeping. This home is perfect for 2 to 4 people, and it’s just 19 steps up from the sidewalk.

QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited).

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).

Property was nice. The only issue I found was the refrigerator did not get cold the freezer was the only section working. I’d say a replacement is needed. The location is great we enjoyed our visit

Great location and layout

Great location and room layout. I would give it 3 1/2 stars but it wasn't an option. The care taker representative came over to check in on our issues and was responsive and tried to help. There was no heater which made for a cold stay in January. The wifi and cable were spotty at times.

The house was great. However I do not like how I was communicated by 3 listing agencies when I booked through just Expedia. Almost thought I was being scammed.

The king-sized bed was not very comfortable, and it made a lot of noise when you moved. I think the company could have cleaned the dust off the baseboards and the spots on the curtains and couch for the price I paid. But, if you are not too picky about that, then it was a great place to stay.

Catalina Home Base

We stayed four days at this Catalina home. It was close to the grocery store, far enough from the town to be quiet, and had a porch that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Meh, these vacation rentals managed by large companies and not By Owner (as in VRBO) are not great

Check in process required me to fill out a docusign twice and also text pictures of my credit card and drivers license. Place was no frills, no amenities, and the smallest bar of bath soap I have ever seen. I couldn't get the pilot lit on the gas heater, so we ended up using spaces heaters in every room. Honestly, having stayed at a hotel and this place, I’d choose a hotel as the hotels actually have a more personal touch. Also, be sure to factor in cost of getting trip insurance. If your ferry can’t leave due to weather, this place will not refund your missed day

Convenient and confortable

This place was convenient and comfortable. It was close to town. The kitchen needs a little more updating, but the rest of the place was perfect. Enjoyed the balcony. Bed was comfortable, pullout bed in the living room was surprisingly comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay!

Convenient location, but unit need updating

The unit is convenient but the carpet and coach and chairs need replacement. The unit was clean but I’m not sure I would want kids crawling around on the carpet. The rest seems OK.

July 2019 Stay

Upon arrival we called ahead of time to confirm the house would be ready early for us as requested when making the reservation. The staff said it was ready and would be no problem. When we got to the rental office the staff refused to let us in and said they had no clue who would have told us to come early. They refused to let us drop off our luggage at the house until it was ready, forcing us to then take the luggage back to the docks to a luggage storage facility and pay $20 till the house was ready. The staff said they would call us as soon as the house was ready, they didn’t call until way after 4pm. The rental clearly stated that key pick up was 3pm to 5pm. We came at 4:40pm and they had already charged my credit card an after 5pm key pick up fee. Then while we are standing there getting the keys they reversed the charge without telling us anything. It just comes across so shady and catty to do so. It wasn’t worth the fees we paid but we didn’t have much of a choice, the hotels were fully booked the week

Good value ,great location!! Avalon is great!!

Property has good value good location few little things that need to be improved if they want to maximize their value. Bathroom towel rack falling off the wall. Had to push in fridge to open oven door.Water pressure or shower fixture provides less than expected pressure/flow. Would rent again if price was right.
