Bright basement suite in the picturesque countryside. Welcome to Dark Horse Farm, located minutes from Cherry Point Beach, Cobble Hill mountain, Enrico and Cobble Hill Vineyard, and Arbutus Ridge Golf Course. This newly renovated ground level suite comfortably sleeps 4. Enjoy the hot tub, private bbq and views of the beautiful gardens and hobby farm right outside of your window.
You can find many vineyards to experience, play a round of golf only two minutes away, Cobble Hill Mountain to hike or bike and of course the beach to stroll and relax.
We are conveniently located 5km from Brentwood College and Shawnigan Lake Private School and 6 km from St. Johns Academy. There are grocery stores, restaurants, a medical clinic, and pharmacies a short drive away.
We have two free parking spots at the house. The best way to get around is by vehicle. Public transport and Taxi's are very limited, we advise you to plan ahead! Note, this is a suite In a family home, we are mindful of noise but there can be noise from time to time from above.

A large very comfortable basement suite, lovely clean bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with 2 good sized bedrooms and a large lounge. Brittany was an excellent host and responded quickly to any queries we had. Easy on site parking, large garden area (with fire pit which we used) and in a great location. One of the best VRBO accommodations we have used, thanks Brittany.

Overall a pleasant stay. Quiet location and nice suite for a small family! Close to stores and adventures.Nice to meet the horses and our son fed one an apple. Kitchen was stocked with essentials and we had a few treats left for us to enjoy, popcorn, bubly's and some chocolates.Only gripe would be that pictures make it seem bigger than it is, and that some dishes needed to be washed before use. Other than that it was a great time away.

This is our second time at Dark Horse Farm on an extended stay. This is a gem in so many ways. The location is quiet and yet near everything you would need to for a short or extended period. The hosts are great and the house has everything you need. The Cowichan Valley has lots to see and do and Dark Horse Farm is a comfortable place to come back to at the end of your day. We would encourage anyone looking for moderately priced accommodation to consider the Dark Horse Farm.
