The cottage gave cabin vibes, very cozy and amazing view of the little lake. Being right on the water was amazing and our doggo loved all the space to smell the smells. Quiet and peaceful, hope to stay here again the next time we're visiting family!

Great weekend in a great place

Relaxing Lake Cottage

Relaxing Lakeside Getaway

We stayed at this beautiful home while we were in town for some work. It was amazing coming back to this home after a long day to relax and sit outside and decompress. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anybody!

OUR STAY

This place was just beautiful, and so very peaceful. They did an immaculate refurbishing on the inside of the home! Only a 2 bedroom, but with plenty of living space inside and out. Hot in the summer, but ideal times would be spring and fall.

Lovely Lake Home

This is a lovely home on a quiet lake. The house is very clean. The beds are comfortable. The kids enjoyed fishing from the deck. The view of the lake from inside the house is beautiful.

Serinity

The outside sells this place. Tranquil setting with lots of outside seating. Quiet and the lake is beautiful! Unfortunately, weather turned cold, and we did not get to enjoy the outdoors. Nice lake house, older, but in good shape. The house is small, but adequate for 2. Being stuck inside, my only complaint, too much furniture and decor for a small place. Felt a bit closterphobic for me. Overall, a great rental for good weather.

I will start off by saying that overall we had a really nice stay. I think the best way to cover this is through Pros, Cons & suggested changes.Pros: The home was overall very clean and well kept. Having the small lake access was very nice. You have three nice size towns within very short drive of the home. Outside space allows for ample enjoyment of the property. Price is on par for what you receive.Cons: I am not sure if it is a common thing, but the neighbor across the way had his music up loud enough to where we could sing along if we had wanted to from about 9am to 7pm. (NOTE: Owner did say this wasn't normal, and offered to let us out of the rental. We chose to stay and did enjoy ourselves.) Most properties in the neighborhood are well kept, but there are some that are not as nice. Some lighting fixtures didn't work, or were difficult to find the switch.Changes: Label light switches. Speak to neighbor across the way about being more considerate of others. Organize the closet areas.I will say that the stay was enjoyable, and we would consider coming back another time. The owner is very accommodating and nice to work with.

Slightly Disappointed, first time using VRBO. This property would be perfect if they rehab the back of the house . The smell of mildew was a bit overwhelming, Especially in the bathroom. The “clean” towels smelled musty, then smelled of mildew once they were wet. Water leak stains in the ceiling. The floors had mounds in them. There was white pet hair everywhere. Some of the furniture was badly stained. The bed cover had a yellow stain in it. No TV in the larger room. Water pressure was extremely low. The host was nice and we caught a few fish. It was quiet and secluded.

From the Owner: "Thank you for your feedback. The mildew smell you mentioned was the first time this issue has been brought to my attention. After hearing your concerns, I had a contractor inspect the property the very next day and confirmed there is a small ceiling leak in the bathroom, which is scheduled for repair on the 18th of this month. The water pressure issue has already been resolved with help from New Visions Water Filtration.This is an older home, and while the floors have some natural swelling due to seasonal temperature changes, it hasn’t typically been a problem for other guests. I’ve also reduced the daily rate to reflect these factors, ensuring the property remains a great value. I work with a reliable housekeeper who does a thorough job, but I’ll remind her to pay closer attention to details like pet hair and linens to avoid any future issues.We’re glad you enjoyed the quiet setting, seclusion, and fishing opportunities, and we appreciate your input to help us continue improving the experience for future guests.
