Thank you for sharing your experience. We do want to clarify the concerns regarding the entry and door. The lockbox issue was resolved by providing instructions for the correct lockbox and how to operate it. When the sliding door was inspected by the property caretaker, the lock itself was functioning properly; the door had not been fully closed, which prevented the latch from engaging. We understand how frustrating it would have been to be concerned about securing the home, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience this caused during your stay. We were not made aware of the fishing charter until the following morning. Had we known that you needed to be at the property for a specific appointment or activity, we would have coordinated with you and our property manager to avoid the disruption of your plans. Regarding checkout, the cleaning fee covers the professional cleaning and turnover of the home after each stay. Basic checkout requests such as removing trash, washing dishes, and stripping used beds are outlined in the house rules and are intended to help our cleaning team efficiently prepare the property for the next guests. We’re always looking for ways to improve the guest experience, and we do appreciate your valuable feedback.
