We selected this property for our visit to my wife's 60th High School Class Reunion. The choice was made easy because the house was her childhood home from the time she was in grade school through graduation from Glenwood High School in 1966. We were surprised that so much had not be changed as the property changed hands in the time following her going off to college. The common area living room and dining area had been switched but the kitchen was hardly changes at all. this included appliances and countertops that were still in place from 60 (!) years ago. One major change that ended up causing the discomfort that lead to this less than glowing review was the elimination of the central AC system and replacement with mini-split units that (a) didn't work in one case and (2) were generally inadequate to cool the place down. It turned out that the unit in the living area was working at all. After suffering with the lack of proper cooling, a call to the management got a repairman out who fixed it. However, in doing the repair, he turned off the house power which caused to door code to not work leaving us stranded for 45 minutes in the front yard until a new code was finally inputted. In addition, the mini-splits did not cool down the main bathroom thus making showering and preparing for the day very uncomfortable. In summary, what should have been a neat "deja vu" time for us in my wife's former home fell short of earning a higher rating.

We understand this stay carried special meaning for your wife, returning to her childhood home for her reunion, and we're glad much of the layout still felt familiar. We're sorry the A/C and access issues impacted the experience. One mini-split unit was not working properly during your stay, and an emergency electrician came out that same day to address it. The keyless entry operates independently on its own battery, and when the access issue arose, we worked to provide a new code as quickly as possible. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address these concerns.
Easy check in, good communication, great location. It was very nice to have coffee, condiments, spices, paper towels, lots of bath towels! Thanks for the treats as well! Nice view of the lake and easy access to the walking path!
We loved everything about this property-Close proximity to the water, the coffee shop, shopping, city park. The house itself was clean, great sleeping arrangements, loved it all. We were in the area for a wedding and all loved it so much we are hoping to book the same place again next year. Thank you!!!
So conveniently located and so huge. Comfortable areas upstairs and downstairs to hang out with large tvs. The hostess was super friendly and very responsive to communication!
