Ideal place for families

Really unique and nice property. Had lots of fun amenities, spaces for gathering inside and out, comfortable beds, lake access with good fishing. Hosts were excellent. Highly recommend this property and Alexandria MN area as ideal vacation spot for active families.

Excellent stay!

Our stay was fantastic! The home was beautiful, and very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed as was the rest of the home. We arrived to a nice gift basket which was a very nice touch! Loved this place!

Lake Vacation

Excellent Well maintained Fun to at and just hang out The game room was fun The fishing dock was the favorite Short drive to other activities as well Owners were genuinely concerned and really wanted us to have a good time We did!!!

Great cabin

This is a great cabin to stay in on a good sized lake. Awesome fishing, boat rentals and plenty of games in the cabin to keep you entertained! We had two families and it worked out great, with enough room to fit 11. The cabin was just as described and with great owners to help out with anything you might need. We highly recommend this cabin.

Very unique and fun place to stay for the whole family.

Lots of family fun both inside and outside. We enjoyed a great camp fire, fishing off the dock and from our boat in the lake. When the it was rainy, there were many things to do inside that helped pass the time such as pool, foosball, air hockey and classic video games. The owners were very responsive and provided anything we might have forgotten. Overall it was a fantastic vacation for our family.

Great stay

We stayed for a week at Scott and Kathy’s home. It was very welcoming and cozy. Very clean and had all the amenities you’d need to have a big group stay! The game room was well set up and had fun games for all ages. Communication with hosts was easy and they always responded quickly. Check in and finding the property was simple. Overall we are very pleased with the experience and would definitely revisit in the future!

Wonderful place to stay!

This was a beautiful house, comfy beds, great location. It was great to have so many options of things to do in the house if the weather didn't let us go outside. And we all got our workout going up and down the stairs from the house to the dock though, so it's something to keep in mind if you have an older person in your group! Fun fishing off the dock even if it all we caught was little ones and turtles! Hosts we very good to work with.

Big Eclectic Comfy

In for a wedding with loads of people. Plenty of space to make and eat food and sleep. Basement full of games was great, lots of time spent there. And a nice big fire pit. We were not there to fish, but if you were this place would be great for that too.

Maple Island Dr. S.E. 9/1 - 9/5/22

My friends and I loved staying here. There was so much space and things to see and do without even leaving the cabin. The communication and accessibility of the property owners was amazing.!! I felt they went above and beyond in helping from the moment I reserved my stay all the way to the day I checked out. Thank you for opening up your home to me and my friends. We felt like we stayed in a museum and LOVED it!!!

Family Week for 4th of July

10/10 Excellent We had an amazing stay at The Lodge on Maple Island during the week of the 4th of July! The cabin’s decorations and amenities were top-notch, making us feel right at home. The game room was a huge hit with everyone, providing endless entertainment, especially when we had a rainy day. We also loved spending time on the lake, which offered beautiful views and great fishing. Scott and Kathy were fantastic hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. Spacious cabin and amazing game room!

Great communication with owners before during and after! Very spacious cabin and the lower level game area kept the children occupied for hours and the adults too after the children were sleeping! Unfortunately the lack of rain left the Bay Area too low for our boat by the property dock, but the launch was just a few mins away to the larger lake area which worked out fine. Fun fishing and beach area for everyone too at the launch. We enjoyed the kayaks from the dock! Fantastic time and place to stay! Thank you!

Amazing Family Vacation

Kathy and Scott are wonderful hosts! They went above and beyond in communicating with me leading up to vacation and checked in the perfect amount during our stay to ensure everything was going well. They take pride in sharing their home, and it shows! The sun porch was my favorite place in the home-enjoying the lovely property bug-free! The extremely clear water made for some great paddle boarding. Good lake for fishing in the mornings, and the game room was a huge hit for everyone! A bonus that you don't find in too many rental properties! We had such a great time.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time at The Palmer House. Our favorite spot to hang out was the game room. There are so many games to choose from. PacMan and Golden Tee were a hit as was shooting pool into the early morning. We brought our boat and utilized the house dock. The public boat ramp/dock was a short 5 minute drive. Maple Lake is the perfect size for fishing, tubing and floating. Scott’s fishing map helped land some bass and northern. This was a perfect place for a family vacation.

Larson tradition

We had a wonderful week and could not have asked for better hosts. I first contacted Scott last winter and communication since was astounding! We could not believe how well appointed the cabin was. I am in the habit of bringing everything and for this cabin that was so so unnecessary. I know Scott and Kathy went over and above to accommodate us. Not everything was perfect, but we had a wonderful week.
