Mark, Thanks so much for coming up to the cabin. I have passed your notes on to our cleaning service. We chose not to spray pesticides inside the house and the flip side is that, although we clean and de-web, the spiders can be quick to rebuild. The cleaning service does blow off the deck between rentals, however late September into October is when our 4 large pine trees lose their dead yellow/brown needles, and with the wind that comes off the lake, they accumulate quickly on the deck and around the house. I am going to make a note that during this period of time, we should clean the deck the day guests arrive. I wish we were aware of the issue you had with the sink, we have folks, including a plumber, who are very responsive to issues that arise with the house. In our welcome package we ask our guests to let us know of any issues that arise, so we can address them during their stay. Its always frustrating to hear about issues after the fact, which could have been resolved. Perhaps you can message me with more information regarding your issue with the upstairs bed. Its the first time we have had a complaint and if there is something specific that needs to be addressed, I'd like to take care of it. Thanks again and we hope to host you and your friends again! Hi Ann, Thanks for coming up to the chalet! For those of you who have never been to Lake Wallenpaupack, it is a man made lake with a rip wrap shoreline, which is a rocky shoreline. All of the docks are floating docks, which mean they move with the activity of the waves. The dock is also moved out toward the lake throughout the summer, as the lake level is lowered. This means you never know exactly how deep the water is off the end of the dock, so diving is not a good idea. From late October to May, all docks must be removed from the lake. We recommend that people wear water shoes anywhere around the lake, as the rocks and dock can be slippery when wet. We installed a swim ladder to get on the dock, which is helpful for dock swimming. For me, the best recreation is tying a tube to the dock and relaxing with a refreshing beverage!
