Small things spoiled our experience.

Hotel is within walking distance from the airport and close to a small shopping centre. There is parking outside the hotel, but this is not hotel parking and can only be used between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Hotel parking is underground and accessed via your room key. We only booked a car on our second day and assumed the parking spaces outside the hotel entrance were the hotels (to our cost!!). Room had no oven (despite the hotel description), and although a washing machine was available in the bathroom, some instructions would have been helpful for those non New Zealanders like ourselves. We decided to eat at what we assumed to be the hotel restaurant (you could enter the restaurant from the hotel lobby) on our last night there (a weekday), only to find that it, and therefore the bar also, closed at 5 p.m. during the week. Never stayed in a hotel with no restaurant or bar open after 5 p.m. in my life!!

Nice sized 2 room apartment close to Queenstown. Very quiet room with virtually no aircraft noise despite being in view of runway. Will certainly return if opportunity arises

Good Overnight Stay

Needed a room around Queensland at short notice for one night during a busy period and chose the hotel based on price and perceived quality. Allocated room was a reasonable size, comfortable, clean and well equipped. View of the runway and mountains was quite attractive, with no noise from airplanes. Only downside was having a room with a door to the one adjoining, so had much more noise than normal.

From the upgrade a check in onwards we were very impressed by this hotel. Lovely large room with great views of the Remarkables area, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with the added benefit of the washer/dryer with a couple of wash sachets, so I did not end up taking dirty washing home with me on the flight next day. Very comfortable bed. We dropped off luggage then took car back to hire place at airport and walked back to hotel, 1bout 15 minutes, saw lots of people walking with luggage so it is doable, however, when booked I thought it was closer and with some unwieldy luggage we decided to book the airport shuttle bus for the morning trip to the airport, an excellent service that I would recommend to anyone. If you have an easy roll along case or just an overnighter then enjoy the walk, otherwise, for 20 dollars for 2 people take the load off your feet. Remarkables town centre is just across the car park, there are about 4 restaurants, we went to Thaitanium, a good play on words, had an excellent meal there, lots of locals picking up take aways and some eating there so a good indication. Rob on reception was excellent and very professional.

A competent hotel, well run and clean with laundry facilities in the room, but: 1. On a shopping mall near the airport 2. The rooms are much smaller than we expected. Overall it was new and good value, but not a great location

Good location - rooms okay

The hotel is in an ideal location if you are doing helicopter excursions- within walking distance. There are several restaurants nearby and a supermarket. The room was not as clean as Quest hotels we have stayed at - even though this is a new hotel.

Ramada Hotel Queenstown Un-Remarkables Park

Felt the standard of our room was rather basic - but the facilities were good. My biggest issue was with the air conditioning unit which struggled with the warm evening. All the restaurants within walking distance were either already shut by 8 pm or only offered pizza for dinner. Check-in closed at 8pm too. Overall, had expected a better experience from a Ramada. To end on a positive note - the scenery is fantastic.

Loft room - Nice room for hobbits

For a new hotel there some serious issues 1. In a loft where height limited to 1.7 meters or 5’9”. I’m 5’6” & I hit my head twice. Moved to another similar room & hit head in bathroom. Cash helmets should be supplied 2. Nothing in hotel description stated hotel was adjacent to building site. Woken up every day by hammer drills 7am 3. Franks Eatery shut 4pm Sun-Thurs. not helpful 4. At end of runway. Double glazing did not work. Thank goodness only daylight flights 5. On positive note staff very attentive to issues & did their best.

Excellent Hotel, Staff & Service

The hotel is brand new and the rooms are very spacious with all of the mod cons required. It's in a great location with a great bus link into Queenstown itself which runs until after midnight and costs only 2 NZD each. We had messed up our booking and made two seperate bookings which onvolved changing rooms. The staff tried to keep us in the same room but could not due to the hotel being full. However they were very helpful in moving our bagge between rooms when we were out for the day and making sure everything was in order. Will definitely be staying here again when we next visit Queenstown, cannotreccomend highly enough. Thanks to everybody at the hotel for making our stay so great.
