The hotel shows its age and feels a little run down. The swimming pool was welcome after a hot day. The hotel is about a mile from Stateline; walkable if you don't want to pay for parking! I strongly recommend the Red Hut cafe for breakfast.

Although I am not especially difficult to please I really loved this place - a fantastic balance between the big four high rise casino resorts in Stateline and the plethora of smaller and probably more expensive inns and motels on the Californian side. All of which lack a casino floor which can be a fun option for the evening - and often serves to subsidise the room rates. Customer service here was great and the room had everything I needed including AC which I did not in fact use because the Lake Tahoe climate in June was just about perfect - sunny days and cooler nights. The rooms are configured in a set of two floor blocks and my room (on the ground floor of "Edgewood") was possibly the best available. It had sliding doors which opened out onto a communal patio area overlooking the small but very well maintained pool which was a delight. There were plenty of tables and chairs available - and it was so nice to sit outside in the sun with a coffee or cold beer (excellent booze store is next door to the hotel). So quite possibly I had just got lucky with the room - I imagine all the rest were equally well appointed internally but perhaps not so pleasing externally. Some had a small private balcony but others seemed to have only a window. So would I come back? DEFINITELY but I would do my best to try and secure the exact same room.

Great Value/Great Location.

We loved the location, the room was comfortable, and the hotel restaurant was high quality and reasonably priced. There's a swimming pool and a hot tub on the premises. However, because of Nevada state laws, people could freely smoke near the pool at all hours. If you are a nonsmoker, that's a drawback.

Quaint place but really smokey in casino

This place could do with some refurbishment. Room clean but could use some updating. Casino was so full o cigarette smoke it was impossible to stay more than 10 minutes. Restaurant just off the casino was pretty poor and breakfast rather expensive. Not one I could recommend unless you want old fashioned and don't mind the cigarette smoke.

It’s not always easy to find a room that fits a family my size but when I do & & it’s near the location we’ll be spending our time, that’s a plus! However I was disappointed to see the price go up based on how many of us were staying. But overall, the parlor room is a great room.

This was my first time at Lake Tahoe, and my first time staying at Lakeside Inn. We really enjoyed our experience. It's an older facility, but that also adds to the charm. The room was clean and comfortable, and decently spacious, especially for the price. We enjoyed some gambling and a few drinks in the Casino, along with a little time in the outdoor hot-tub. The staff was also very nice. For the price, this place is a good value.
