At Maui Sunset, relax by an outdoor pool or hit the beach where you can enjoy windsurfing. Each apartment provides a kitchen with a fridge, an oven, a stovetop and a microwave. For a bit of entertainment, an LCD TV comes with cable channels, and guests can also appreciate conveniences, such as 2 bathrooms and a washer/dryer. Weekly housekeeping is available.
Maui Sunset offers 225 air-conditioned accommodations with washers/dryers and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to furnished balconies. This individually decorated and furnished accommodation has separate sitting areas. Beds feature Egyptian cotton sheets and premium bedding. 32-inch LCD televisions come with cable channels. Convenient location. Kitchen was very nice. Our unit had all the furnishings we needed. Having two full bathrooms was very convenient. Swimming pool was very nice. Balcony had a great view of the courtyard and ocean.

The condo was more spacious and better equipped than we expected, with great amenities and a convenient beachfront location. Front office was very respectful and courteous. However, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired—surfaces were dusty, bedding was not clean, cockroach droppings on surfaces, and some areas looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. We did contact the front office and they showed up to deal with the pest issues right away. With a bit more attention to cleaning, this place would be perfect.

Kihei is a good spot to stay in Maui

Pros: Beautiful view, well maintained property, great location with access to activities and restaurants while right on a fairly quiet beach, kitchen was well equipped for a rental, Wi-fi worked well Cons: The construction noise while we were there was intermittently insanely load, the beds are small, the pool is full sunrise to sunset

A Wonderful Stay at Maui Sunset! We had an amazing time at the Maui Sunset condos. The unit was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a huge balcony overlooking the pool, beautiful grounds, and the beach—a perfect spot to relax and watch the sunset. We met the most wonderful people at the pool and hot tub from all over the world, and even exchanged contact info with some who we hope will become lifelong friends. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel right at home. We felt very safe throughout our stay, even allowing our kids to explore the grounds on their own. If we ever return to Maui, Maui Sunset will definitely be our first choice!

Condo was small, couch was dirty, mattress on couch was horrible. Bugs on the comforter in the main bathroom. There was a cockroach in the room. Pool was nice, yard work was happening while we were there and was very loud and disruptive when wanted to enjoy the patio. Air conditioning would only run for 4hr so room was always hot as it would shut off as it would start to cool down.
