We loved our stay! It was small, but had enough room for our family of 5. It was nice and far from the main road so it was nice and quiet, but still close to the places we wanted to go. Would love to visit again.

Birthday weekend

The cabin is well maintained and centeally located to many of the areas activities. The playground saw plenty lf action in the evenings. All in all i would recomend the cabin for any family outing and we are hoping to visit again.

Freedom Ridge Cabins is the perfect place for a quiet, picturesque getaway. The cabins are individually named and are tiered up the mountain. Each cabin has a parking area, a small back deck with a picnic table, and a fire pit with seating around it, perfect for marshmallow roasting after dark. The cabin we stayed in was perfect for our needs.

15 mins from Mt Rushmore - great place!!!

Chace and Leslie are great hosts. The cabin was cozy and well equipped and supplied for my family of 5 (3 kids 7/7/4). The place has its own playground and view of nature/wild life. Plus this is a 15 mins drive to/from Mt Rushmore, and super close to Custer and Hill City.

The Cabins are beautifully constructed and very clean and welcoming. The location can’t be beat. Hill City is a great town for dining and shopping as well as local to many sites including Mr. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, and an easy drive to Rapid City and Deadwood. The hosts at this property are a young couple who were well organized and very helpful. It was a pleasure to stay at Freedom Ridge Cabins.

Property was amazing and very clean. The family built the cabins themselves and the were very cozy and definitely made you feel like your own little home, fully equipped everything you needed as if you were cooking in your own home. Property was very peaceful and quiet.. The owners were very friendly when we interacted from getting firewood.. and a great location not to far away from all the attractions we wanted to see.. especially loved having the brochures to help find things and places to go

Cute, clean and cozy

The trip to the Mt Rushmore area was awesome. The cabin was cute, clean and quaint. Went with another couple. Only one main bedroom downstairs. Huge loft with two beds upstairs. Both bathrooms are down. So consider your family dynamics before booking. The host was very responsive on check and a question on the heater in the bathroom. We had a great time.

The property is decent but the outside grass around the cabin was unkept. Upstairs beds are complete garbage…they should be tossed out immediately. Very limited kitchen dishes, pots, and pans. Can’t imagine 6-8 people in here. The living space is pretty limited.
