Just as advertised: beautifully located rainforest retreat, perfect for two. Highly recommended.

Stayed for four nights but wished we could stay longer. 4 excellent air conditioned rooms immaculately clean. Beautiful garden amongst elegant trees with a welcoming pool. A very special place thank you for letting us stay.

For anyone looking for piece and quite this place is amazing, Dale the host was extremely friendly and helpful and the view from the apartment is stunning. Hope too return when budget allows. Highly recommended.

Our stay in the villa was lovely and well equipped. The location was good and private. Pool was lovely and we enjoyed the array of different birds around us. It was lovely sitting out at night by the pool. There were dogs barking next door but didn't really bother us too much. The Turtle bay beach is fairly close but need to be careful walking along the busy road. Its only a couple of minutes drive from the villa and is beautiful. Our favourite beach was Castara about 30mins drive. Waves restaurant was worth a visit, just to see the beautiful sun sets. Jennys at Speysite was also excellent. Overall a fantastic holiday.

We had a really happy stay in this comfortable apartment with wonderful, helpful and informative hosts Chris & Yvonne . The apartment is set in a wonderful tropical garden with spectacular views over the ocean, whist being surrounded by hummingbirds and all tropical life. Castara village has has a large selection of restaurants , events and friendly local businesses, set on two soft sandy bays. The nearest to the apartment has a fantastic coral reef full of tropical fish such as Angel fish, Stingrays and Parrot fish, located only 20 metres from the shore , making it great for snorkelling or swimming . It is only 100 metres walk downhill from the apartment.

The Lookout provides an open vista across the rainforest over to the bay of Charlottville. Rainforest trails lead from the property while Charlottville with its ATM, mini-mart and fish market, is a short 5 min. drive down the hill. A place of enormous tranquility with the songs of the local bird population, including the Mot Mot and the Oropondola accompanying the day. Mark and Gayle are wonderfully attentive hosts who gave us invaluable advice about where to eat (Suck Hole and Jemma's) and where to buy fresh bread (Yah Dees) through to the best reefs to see the beautiful French Angel Fish and Parrot Fish. This was a surprise holiday for my husband and an opportunity for all four of us, including our 12 and 11 year old sons, to relax. It did not disappoint. If you like to get away from the crowds, this is the place for you. Mark helpfully organised a guide and boat trip across to Little Tobago and also organised car hire so that we were picked up from the airport. We had nothing to worry about. The only thing that spoilt the quiet during our stay was the all-night beach party on Friday night - not sure whether there is anyone on the beach at 4am and the loud music must disturb all the residents - so it's not clear it's a feature that will last. We thoroughly recommend Tobago for its unspoilt beaches and the north of the island for its peace and tranquillity. The Lookout at Charlottville is a beautiful property and we had both levels so could spread out and enjoy.
