Beautiful cottage in Beautiful surroundings. The property lived up to our expectations and more.Lots of memories made from a 2year old up to an 86yr old.Hopefully we will be back in the future.

Beautiful home, excellently equipped and cared for. Great communication from the owners. The walks from the front made for wonderful countryside explorations. Local amenities nearby and nature at its best here and not far from more spectacular views of the Yorkshire Dales. Children loved the animals nearby the lambs. A very happy restful enjoyable stay.

3 adults staying for a short break. Comfy beds, everything we needed (dishwasher would have been great but no idea where it could have fitted in). It’s a compact cottage but we didn’t feel we were getting in easy other’s way. The location was so good as we looked out over the castle and it was only a short walk to several good pubs -we had an excellent Sunday lunch at The Tack Room and staff were so friendly -plus great beer-in the Richard 111 pub. Loved watching the horses going past on their way to and from the gallops. Lots of lovely walking done as the weather was kind to us. We would stay here again without a doubt.

The property was spacious and set in a stunning, quiet location. The view from the patio was breathtaking. It was very well equipped with everything you may need and more. The pool table was a bonus. We visited Bolton Castle and Forbidden Corner. Both were great family fun days out. We even travelled on the North Yorkshire Moors steam Railway and visited Aysgarth Falls. The owner was very helpful and answered our queries promptly. They kindly left chocolate and wine for us to celebrate my husband’s 70th. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

What a fantastic place to stay , the cottage was perfect , very comfortable and felt just right .had everything we needed for our stay. Bed comfy and clean loved the way you slept downstairs and the views breathtaking. Lots of information and maps so perfect for us . No garden for four legged friend but walks just outside . We did keep our dog on lead due lambs and nesting birds . Fantastic pub 2 minute walk away . Will be going back without a doubt . Perfect for us .

Overdale Cottage is the perfect Yorkshire Dales stay. It’s authentic, is very clean and has a massive bed. The bath, with an abundance of hot water, is so relaxing. Complimentary logs, kindling and firelighters. Martin or Max will deliver more for a very reasonable sum! Marrick has a Dark Sky status, meaning you can see the stars. Absolutely nothing to complain about and will revisit very soon
