this lodge was absolutely outstanding, everything was spotless upon our arrival.the hot tub was set up ready to get straight in at a comfortable temperature.the welcome pack was made up of locally produced goods. the rooms were well laid out and more than enough room for all six of up to eat at the table and seating in lounge again enough for all 6 to sit and watch a movie.all windows are double glazed and heating was fantastic. the wifi (included) in price was super fast even with 6 of us logged in at one time..all in all a fantastic 3 night stay in this fabulous lodge and we will return

Edw Lodge provided us a great little January break with friends.
Edw Lodge provided us a great little January break with friends. We popped into the cute town of Builth Wells and chilled on the site in the hot tub for a weekend. The lodge was spotless, with clean linen and good facilities. The check in was super easy and we were able to check in an hour before stated, but it was a bit of a shame that the welcome basket wasn't sorted for when we arrived. The host did later pop over with some crisps and wine, but we didn't get some of the other goodies - which wasn't the end of the world. The hot tub would benefit from some fencing around it (as it was a bit exposed), but this wasn't a huge problem for us as there were hardly any people on the site. The bin store (not the problem of the lodge owner I suspect) was pretty disgusting as this clearly hadn't been collected for some time. The resident goats seem to enjoy the rubbish buffet though!
We stayed here with our kids (16,13 and 12) and it was a lovely lodge. We loved the hot tub and how peaceful the location was.
I’ve given the overall rating a 3 out of 5 as I felt there were some things that could be improved. There was a lot of black mould in the bottom of the shower, there were no locks on bathroom doors and the boiler in one of the rooms was very loud and kept the kids awake at points during the night.
Overall, we would come back to this lodge, however not in the summer months. I checked availability for august and the prices are almost treble what we paid in February which I wouldn’t be willing to pay for the standard of the lodge.
The location is very quiet and peaceful and our neighbours were very quiet too! We drove out to the Brecon Beacons which I would highly recommend, it really is beautiful.
Very cosy and peaceful. Really enjoyed our weekend. Very spacious and private. Used the hot tub and loved the welcome basket on arrival. Adam was a friendly host. Highly recommended. We hope to return soon

We had a lovely break at The Lodge which is comfortable and homely. Adequate space for our party of 6 adults and 2 large German Shepherd dogs. We were lucky enough to get some sunshine to enjoy coffee on the decking, the hot tub was fabulous too. Generous welcome pack and the owner was helpful and allowed us to occupy the lodge once the Covid clean was completed. Great to have a large fridge/freezer so that you can take food for several days. We hope to return in the Spring. If you’re looking for quiet, peaceful surroundings and spectacular views you won’t be disappointed. Only one thing missing, a proper bread knife to slice the enormous crusty loaf in the welcome pack!

Everything about the lodge is great, but I have big concerns about the fishing, if you want to catch minnows fine. Other fish like trout would be very difficult and course fish also very difficult.
However the Hot tub was very good.

Was extremely pleased with the lodge.
Was extremely pleased with the lodge. In a lovely location, lovely walks. And lovely views from the hot tub. Loved watching the sun come up over the hills whilst in the hot tub with my cup of tea. Had everything in the lodge we needed and the owner was extremely nice and personable. Will certainly return
