Absolutely beautiful cottage, in peaceful surroundings and had everything you need for a perfect stay. Jaquie and paul were great hosts along with there dog, chickens, sheep and horse. The cottage was perfect and provided a cosy stay with a super comfy bed. Thank you x

If you want to submerge in Welsh rural life and quietness, this ex-stable is your place. Hay-on-Wye is close and worth a visit (even for illiterates). By car you can reach Cardiff, Swansea for day trips or climb the Pen-y-Fan and enjoy an almost surreal view of the Brecon Beacon landscape.Jackie and Paul are wonderful hosts, supportive when needed, genuinely interested in what could improve their guests’ stay - but otherwise minding their own business.Since they have a range of animals including free-running hens we came to enjoy the best eggs ever.The location is equipped with the essentials for self-catering and ideal for pairs - it is clean and functional, but don’t expect modern hotel standards.We enjoyed the remoteness and the feeling to be in good company beyond the walls.

A really lovely stay in a peaceful, beautiful setting. The cottage was cosy, well-equipped and perfect for switching off. Jackie & Paul were fantastic hosts, friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The animals were a real highlight too. Would absolutely recommend and hope to return.

I think this was the best venue we’ve ever stayed at for a self-catering holiday! Everything was spotlessly clean & I had everything I needed to cook meals for the week. We were made very welcome by Paul & Jackie. We loved being so high up & away from other people but near enough to the Royal Welsh Showground to attend an event. A beautiful area we hope to visit again.

A comfortable, relaxing retreat

The cottage was wonderful!Special mentions for the log burner, the bedroom and the garden room! The host, Jackie, was welcoming and available if needed, as she's right next door!The location is rural and there are some great walks right on your doorstep.We visited Builth Wells and Hay-on-Wye by car and the location of the cottage is central to these lovely towns.Highly recommended.

A beautiful 5 days!

We absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful cottage in the beautiful countryside. We felt at home with everything we could possibly need to hand and a great location to explore surroundings on foot or within a short drive of many great spots. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were very sad to leave but will remember this lovely spot for a long time.

Our fabulous Welsh countryside hideaway

Superb traditional farmhouse rental. Excellent facilities, catering for all your needs. Owners were very helpful and friendly. They told us all we needed to know about local shops, pubs etc. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

A very cozy retreat

Me and my partner had a lovely time here. We were left some goodies on arrival which were much appreciated. Very cozy living space and a lovely garden room. Bed very comfy. Would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Lovely accommodation and helpful welcoming hosts. Amazing walks straight out of the door. Dog walkers paradise. We saw ospreys, kites and buzzards from the garden. Highly recommended.
