As you kick off your shoes and enjoy the comforts of this perfect getaway, you and your partner will feel that little more special during your stay.
The owner has presented this stunning cottage to the highest standard, with an open plan living room and kitchen. Relax on the comfy sofas whilst enjoying the warmth of the open fire, or start your day with a coffee sat at the breakfast bar or a romantic dine in meal for two. When it comes to bedtime, the bedroom (accessed via narrow, spiral, open-tread stairs) has a sumptuous mattress to give a good night’s sleep, and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower continues the comfort during your stay. There is a sumptuous Laura Ashley leather sofa bed in the living room for flexible sleeping.
Step outside and follow the nearby pathway and you will soon be in the village of Bowness-on-Windermere where you will find an abundance of shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as many of the lakes’ finest attractions including taking a cruise on Windermere, and Beatrix Potter World. So many dog friendly walks can be found nearby and some of Lakeland’s finest fells are within just a short drive. Beach 17½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

sweet but small

The property is very small but well equipt and clean.. We picked the wrong property for uas as we had an old dog.. the spiral stairs was narrow and no good if you have a dog that sleeps by the side of your bed... the parking was not good either, we have a range rover and i could not get it in the parking spot.. my husband had to get the car in and out of the spot.. was also very dark, we like open and bright...

Pegs Place

Lovely little cottage Negative points are spiral staircase which would be a problem for people with poor mobility or someone larger in size. Parking is very difficult and you need to be an experienced/confident driver as it involves a lot of reversing down a very narrow lane. The cottage itself is well located and very comfortable.

Lovely 3 night stay at pegs place.

Lovely 3 night stay at pegs place. In the perfect location to walk into the main area. Beautiful, clean little cottage with all the amenities you would need. Our only criticism is the oven- it wouldn’t work and we spent ages trying to figure it out. Eventually got in touch with the caretaker who instructed us how to reset the timer so it would work. If this is the case it would be sensible to leave some instructions for future guests to save them the 20 minutes we spent trying to figure it out. Otherwise, perfect stay :)

A beautiful cottage, very cleverly designed. Well equipped. Parking is a little tight but that's the era the cottage was built. Very short walk into the centre. We will definitely book this again

Very clean comfortable cottage.

Very clean comfortable cottage. I found the spiral stairs a bit daunting at first but got used to them. My husband had no problems. Bowness is very busy but the cottage is in a very quiet location. Plenty of nice places to eat in Bowness and the surrounding area. we enjoyed a lovely holiday.
