About the host
Hosted by Bev and Jerry Stemach
Jerry and Bev Stemach are life-long residents of Northern California. They have lived in wine country for 40 years and have hosted guests for 20 years. They farm petit verdot grapes under the Sonoma Valley appellation. Petit verdot is a Bordeaux varietal often used as a blending grape. When it comes to winery and restaurant recommendations, guests consistently describe Jerry and Bev as "spot on".
Why they chose this property
Guests return to Acorn Cottage year after year. There are no near neighbors. Guests tell us, "You've thought of everything," and "Your attention to detail is fantastic." We value your privacy, but we are available to assist you in planning each day. Wine enthusiasts and nature lovers alike will find Acorn Cottage a great base of operations to explore Sonoma Valley, Sonoma County, and beyond.
What makes this property unique
A 500 year old oak tree welcomes you to Acorn Cottage. Native Americans gathered beneath the very same tree. Ask Jerry and Bev how they know that bit of history. Walk to a winery? Sure! St. Francis Winery is just across the road.
