The house was the cleanest I’ve ever stayed. It was well-stocked with towels. We appreciated having a milk and coffee available on arrival, some of the basics were stocked too (salt, pepper, dishwasher soap). The pool temperature was perfect all week. And the view is to be felt in person. It was incredible.

Very comfortable villa

A very comfortable stay in a beautiful villa. The listing is very accurate in that you absolutely have to have a car to get anywhere. The outside space is wonderful, we spent most of our time enjoying this and making use of the BBQ and pool.

Most quality Tourist Villas like ours, are located close to Calheta, the West side of the Island, which is the quieter area, and close to many of the attractions. Super séjour

Nous avons passé un super séjour chez Bill ! La villa est très propre, bien située, au calme de la grande ville de funchal avec une vue sur l’océan et un micro climat ! Bill nous donner énormément d’informations pour nous faciliter le séjour c’était vraiment top ! Je recommanderais la villa les yeux fermés !!

Tolle Villa, super Gastgeber !!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Ferienwohnung! Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut ausgestattet und liegt in einer tollen Umgebung – ideal zum Entspannen. Der Pool war leider anfangs nicht richtig warm, aber der Gastgeber hat sich sofort darum gekümmert und wirklich alles gegeben, damit er wieder funktioniert – das haben wir sehr geschätzt! Die Bäder wurden nur durch die Klimaanlage und Heizung richtig trocken, was aber mit ein bisschen Aufmerksamkeit gut machbar war. Alles in allem war unser Aufenthalt sehr angenehm, und wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!

Top Unterkunft

Das Haus entspricht genau den Fotos und dem Video. Der Ausblick des Hauses ist beeindruckend. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Uns mangelte es an gar nichts. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr freundlich und professionell. Auf Anfragen antwortete er jeweils umgehend. Ein tolles Mietobjekt! Würde jederzeit wieder dort eine Woche Urlaub verbringen.

....unpersönliche, "seelenlose", lieblose Villa...

Außer dem sehr warmen Pool (ca. 30°), einer Infrarotkabine, den modernen Nassräumen und den ausgezeichneten Betten ist diese Villa äußerst lieblos gestaltet. Leider sind Unmengen an unappetitlichen Tausendfüßlern ganztägig am und im Haus anzutreffen. Die Holzmöbel auf der eher ungemütlichen Terrasse bestehen aus 4 wackeligen, zum Teil defekten Sesseln, aber ohne dazugehörendem Tisch. Es gibt außen keinen einzigen sonnen-oder regengeschützten Ess-Sitzplatz), nur 2 Sonnenschirme! Es wird überhaupt kein deutschsprachiges Fernsehprogramm (außer Netflix) angeboten und in der Küche fehlen so Notwendigkeiten wie z.B. ein Handmixer oder ein Nudelsieb. Es war weder eine Flasche Wasser noch irgend ein anderes Lebensmittel (z.B. Gewürze) beim Einzug vorhanden, was in dieser Preiskategorie eigentlich nicht zu erwarten war. Auch die Sitzmöbel beim Esstisch innen wackelten fast alle und bei der zwar sehr gemütlichen Wohnraum-Sitzgarnitur gibt es leider keinen Couchtisch. Dass uns niemand, weder bei der Ankunft, bei der das "Garagentor" zur viel zu knappen Abstellfläche schon Probleme machte, noch bei der Abfahrt persönlich begrüßt hat, passt leider zum Gesamtbild des Hauses. Wir waren daher ziemlich enttäuscht und würden sicher nicht noch einmal kommen.

Dies ist die Rezension Nr. 17 auf VRBO. Die ersten sechzehn sind alle 5 Sterne. Ihre Bewertung ist also enttäuschend und untypisch. Wir sind Hotelbesitzer im Ruhestand und wissen, wie wichtig hochwertige Einrichtungen für maximalen Komfort sind. Vielen Dank für Ihre Komplimente für den beheizten Pool, die Sauna, die maßgefertigten Schlafzimmermöbel und die hochwertig ausgestatteten Badezimmer. Wir sind bei unseren Objektbeschreibungen peinlich genau. Einschließlich 50 Fotos, um alle Winkel einzufangen. Unsere Unterkünfte sind Selbstversorger und VRBO ist die führende „Website für Selbstversorger-Ferienimmobilien“. Wir werben nicht für einen "Meet & Greet-Service", und in den Anweisungen der Unterkunft heißt es eindeutig, dass es sich um einen „Selbst-Check-in“ handelt. Dies ermöglicht maximale Flexibilität für Gäste, die zu unterschiedlichen Tages- und Nachtzeiten anreisen. Unsere Haushälterinnen stehen den Gästen jederzeit zur Verfügung. Während Ihres Aufenthalts haben sie in den ersten 5 Tagen vier Besuche gemacht, um kleinere Beschwerden, imaginär oder anderweitig, zu untersuchen oder zu korrigieren. Ihre ersten vier Tage erlebten Regen, was für September ungewöhnlich ist. Es brachte die Tausendfüßler des Inselgartens hervor, die harmlos sind. Wir haben eine Wartungsroutine, um diese zu beseitigen, indem wir ein Öko-Gift verwenden. Unsere Haushälterinnen reagierten schnell auf dieses Phänomen zu Beginn der Saison. Ihr Ausdruck ist leider übertrieben und ungenau, spiegelt aber den Sarkasmus und die Unhöflichkeit wider, an die wir uns während Ihres Aufenthalts gewöhnt haben. Ihre Bewertung führt auch zu anderen Einrichtungen in die Irre. Die primären Terrassenmöbel sind ein hochwertiger Granittisch mit Platz für 8 Personen. Holzstühle mit Beistelltischen bieten eine mobile Alternative, um sie an verschiedenen Orten auf der Terrasse oder im Garten zu verwenden. Große mobile Garten-Sonnenschirme ermöglichen es den Gästen, den Schatten zu wählen, wann und wo es erforderlich ist. Jedes Sofa hat einen persönlichen Beistelltisch. TV-Kanal 228 ist Deutsche Welle. Unsere Gäste können über Netflix kostenlos fernsehen oder Filme auf Deutsch (oder anderen Sprachen) ansehen. Eine Unterkunft zur Selbstverpflegung ist für einige ältere Gäste nicht immer geeignet. Für Ihren nächsten Urlaub würde ich Ihnen raten, ein Hotel oder eine „Serviced Facility“ auszuwählen.

Tolles Haus mit unschlagbarer Aussicht

Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Das Haus ist so, wie es auf den Bildern zu sehen ist. Der Pool ist beheizt und somit auch super für kleine Kinder. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und die Aussicht auf den Atlantik lässt einen jeden Tag staunen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es empfiehlt sich in jedem Fall ein Auto für den Aufenthalt zu mieten. Es gibt nur eine Sache die praktisch wäre, wenn wir sie im Haus gehabt hätten. Einen Wäscheständer für die Handtücher nach dem Baden. Wir möchten uns für die Zeit dort bedanken und haben das Haus bereits weiterempfohlen.

Beautiful views in the hills... Car essential.

A lovely, comfortable villa with everything you need to relax and have a chilled time in the sunshine. A breath-taking view over the sea with sunsets and all-day sunshine. The pool is always warm and a pleasure to use. The sauna and attic rooms were off limits to us as we were only a group of 2 but the parts of the villa we used were excellent, clean and very comfortable. Getting shade around the pool could be tricky but there was a single sun umbrella with a strong base which could be moved around. To get a shop with a reasonable selection of goods, you need to drive to one of the nearby towns (10-15 minutes) but for beers and a small selection of items there is a cash-only shop a short walk downhill. Bill, the host, was friendly and accommodating and prompt to reply to emails. Really enjoyed our stay. A car is essential if staying here to get to the provisions you'll need. There's plenty of parking available.

Sehr schöne Villa, sehr schöner Urlaub

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in einer tollen Villa. Die Villa liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend ca. 45min per Auto von Funchal. Ein Mietwagen ist meiner Meinung nach zu empfehlen. Die Villa ist sehr sauber und wird bei einem Aufenthalt ab 2 Wochen nach einer Woche geputzt/ Wechseln der Bettwäsche. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist ht randios. Das Wasser im Pool ist im Winter schön warm Alles in allem ist die Villa absolut zu empfehlen.

Wunderschön gelegenes, perfekt ausgestattetes Ferienhaus

Das ist ein super ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in ca 500 m Höhe über der Steilküste auf der westlichen Seite der Insel. Das Panorama ist kaum zu überbieten: das ganze westliche Horizont macht das Ozean aus, und die Sonnenuntergänge sind wunderschön.

Wir haben den Aug´fnethalt in dem wunderschönen Ferienhaus sehr genossen udn werden uns sicher noch lange Zeit positiv daran zurückerinnern. Ein wenig abseits und ein Mietauto ist zwingend notwendig. Dafür gerade als Familie mit Kindern super viel Platz, die Kinder flitzeten überall herum und hatten auf dem Gelände viel Spaß! Ein besonderes Highlight war der Pool, den wir nahezu täglich nutzten. Es war eine wunderbare Zeit dort. Danke für diesen schönen Aufenthalt!!

Hallo Wencke. Vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Ich freue mich, dass Sie Ihren Urlaub genossen haben. Faja da Ovelha liegt auf der weniger bevölkerten Seite von Calheta. So ist es für die Gäste viel ruhiger, ihren Urlaub genießen zu können. Die neu erweiterte "Via Rapide" ermöglicht es den Gästen nun, dieses zuvor geheime Ziel einfacher und schneller zu erreichen. Es ist also etwas ganz Besonderes. Die Gärten erweisen sich auch bei unseren Gästen als beliebt, so dass die Kinder herumlaufen und "Verstecken" spielen können. Wir würden uns freuen, Sie in Zukunft in einem unserer Objekte wiederzusehen. Grüße Bill
