This CHARMING Villa commands an enviable location with stunning views over the Ocean. Traditional features combine with contemporary facilities, to offer luxury spacious accommodation.
From a Palm Tree shaded entrance to Balconies for each room, the property exudes space to relax, breathe and to enjoy the serenity of this peaceful village.
The Infinity Pool is the prime feature of the Villa, measuring a generous 7 metres by 4 metres, with depth from 1.2 metres to 1.5 metres. Heated all year. The Villa faces south, guaranteeing sun on the Pool from 10am until Sunset. Likewise, all rooms within the property enjoy the same South facing elevation and magnificent Ocean views.
OPEN PLAN living areas are light and airy, and the Kitchen is fully fitted with all appliances including an Espresso machine and a generous variety of kitchen utensils. Space to relax is provided by two Sofas in the Lounge, 50" TV and DVD player. Internet speed of Mpbs 500/100. And the large Dining Table offers space to relax and enjoy the family meals.
UPSTAIRS three bedrooms offer comfort for up to 6 people. With an additional fourth double bedroom in the Attic Suite*. Custom made beds to our personal design, fitted with quality mattresses and Hotel style linens and Towels, guarantee a comfortable night's sleep. The bedrooms further benefit from large fitted wardrobes so that you may enjoy your holiday clutter free. The latest Air conditioning systems offer Heat or Cooling to suit the season, using Eco Air Heat Pump technology. The USB ports next to each bed allow convenience for everybody's gadgets.
The Master bedroom offers an en suite with spacious power shower and opening window. The Family bathroom offers another spacious power shower and opening windows. The bathrooms are complimented by an additional outside Ground floor bathroom with Toilet, Shower and wash basin. Hot Water is provided by an Eco Tank, again using the latest Air Heat Pump technology. Most electric is provided by the Islands Wind farms located on the plateau.
* The Attic Suite is offered for groups of more than 6 people, at the advertised additional tariff. It is accessed by the traditional second floor doorway, from outside the building. The Suite has restricted head height but is very popular with larger family groups, for Teenagers, young couples, or a Grand parent wanting a quiet retreat from the children. Containing a standard double bed, Window seat with Sea view and an en suite Shower room. Also it's own Terrace with views over the hillside and forest to the rear.
The POOL TERRACE and Gardens will be a delight for our Guests, and offer substantial additional facilities to enjoy. A large Granite table is provided for Al fresco dining, and a BBQ adjacent. Multi functional chairs that can be moved around as required. Sunbeds are provided for Guests to enjoy the sub Tropical climate, with generous sunshine and year round average daytime temperatures of 20c - 35c. When a Guest wishes to retreat from the Heat, the fitted shutters allow traditional control of sun, heat and airflow. Or the rear Courtyard under mature Palm Trees, allows a cooler retreat in the summer.
GARDEN. The Pool Terrace also has a shady Pergoda overlooking the lawn and gardens below. Short staircases lead down to these additional spaces.
The large lawn area provides the option for Croquet To the rear of the property adjacent to the road is a Wine Cellar, with generous washing and laundry area. Parking is provided two cars. One behind an electronic gate. The other off the road to one side, in front of the Garage. Gates and Walls surround the property offering peace of mind that children cannot wander accidentally into the road.
CALHETA is the prime Tourist area of Madeira and is on the less developed, Western side of the island. It consists of a cluster of villages. Located on the quieter side, Faja da Ovelha offers a peaceful location, but with convenient access 5 minutes away to join the recently extended Via Rapide.
From here it is convenient to start a days exploration of the island, or just to enjoy local attractions.

Bill & Cita Garfield operated Hotel & Holiday Apartment accommodation for 12 years in the UK, before starting their Madeira project. With a warm climate all year round, we can offer facilities that would not be possible in Northern Europe.
Madeira is a lovely place to visit, and attracts quality tourism.
The topography of the island (think of Jurassic Park) prevents the mass tourism and sprawling complexes experienced in other destinations. There just isn't anywhere flat enough to construct huge complexes. Consequently the population and visitor accommodation is spread out, and allows space to develop a quality property, without intruding on the neighbours. Superb views can also be enjoyed from almost any property.
Madeira is a lovely place to visit, and attracts quality tourism.

Blue Sea Villa is a traditional property that has been extensively renovated in 2019. Combining traditional characteristics with contemporary facilities, it is a delightful property with something unique at every turn. Children particularly, will delight in playing hide and seek in the gardens, or just enjoying the Pool.
Other members of the family have different options of where to relax, full sun or in the shade. The Croquet lawn below the Pool offers alternative entertainment. Guests are welcome to help themselves to the various fruit trees and shrubs in the garden.
Calheta with its Marina, Beach and restaurants is easily accessible travelling East. Ponta do Pargo with its Restaurants overlooking the Lighthouse is close by travelling West.
Historic Funchal, Levada Walks, Whale & Dolphin watching, sea pools, fishing etc etc etc are just a few of the activities available on the island. Plenty to keep any family occupied for two weeks.
The weather is rarely an issue !! 5 to 7 months of no rain during the summer is normal. During the winter months there can be the occasional day of rain just to top up the reservoirs. This rarely lasts long enough to keep a Guest indoors all day.
Madeira at its highest point is 6500 feet high, and it can be possible to drive through the rain clouds to the plateau at the top, and be back in the sunshine, with another set of wonderful scenery and Levada walks. Our own experience of winter temperatures can be 15c in the evening but still 20c - 24c during the day !!
