We had a wonderful time, it is a beautiful property, Matt and Sarah were great, very responsive and available. The view from the back porch is gorgeous and the golf cart is fun. Plenty of room, games to play, books to read or color. Great place for a family to go. Planning to stay here again for sure :)
Owners did not get the property cleaned after the people who were there before us moved out and only notified us that it hadn't been cleaned after we had moved in. They agreed to refund the cleaning fee then changed their minds. The house is dated and the beach area is a marina with a couple square yards roped off for swimming.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid pandemic, the cleaning person was unable to reach our home to clean the house. We called the renter on the arrival day to inform her and offered to have the house cleaned the following day. The renter informed us the house was fine and did not need to be cleaned. To compensate, we offered the renter to stay an extra 3 hours at departure, and still refunded the cleaning fee. Yet, the renter was also to make sure the key was returned to us (it was not) and all renters are to clean the sheets and take trash to the Transfer Station. With he extra 3 hours allotted, the renter did neither. As stipulated in the agreement, we can withhold the security deposit if the key to our home is not returned. The renter received the full deposit and we refunded the cleaning fee less the cost of a new key.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The property is in a nice location and the hosts were easy to communicate with. However, the photos are a bit deceptive. Many updates and upgrades are needed. The entrance steps and railing are not safe. The living room and deck furniture need to be replaced. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean but the rest of the house was not; i.e., everything was dusty and full of cobwebs. Also, the house smelled very musty. Instructions for the dated coffee maker should be included. The information binder was not up to date and of no help. We have never been asked before to make the beds on arrival and to do all the laundry before leaving in the many other Vrbo properties we have rented. Not sure if the owners knew that there is new house construction happening on Shore Road, audible and visible from the deck and house all day. Maybe they should have considered not renting while heavy construction is going on.
Love the house. Great place to rent for your summer vacation. Enjoyed watching the sunset come up. What a view. Only thing i wish that the check in time was early,. Other than that, great house to rent. We will be renting next year.
We had a great time here. The house was very nice, clean, and felt like home. We walked down to the private beach area and our 4 kids played in the water and playground.
We would definitely come back to this place again, As our kids did not want to leave!
Our family had a great time! The house is close to the lake (obviously) but there are lots of easy to get to hikes, we took the kids berry picking, kayaking, up the the White Mountains National Park. Matt and Sarah were great the whole time with any questions we had.
Thanks for a great stay!

The Thompson family were wonderful guests and we communicated with them often prior to their visit (about good places to fish on the lake) and during their stay. The Thompsons are excellent guests to have in anyone's home. Matt & Sarah
The house was perfect for vacationing with our children and grandchildren. The home is clean and well maintained, rooms are fairly spacious. There is a small beach at the end of the road. There is White Lake State park with a bigger beach just 5 miles away. Several hiking trails. North Conway mall just 30minutes away, and StoryLand not far. Something for everyone

A Summer Respit
For the past six summers our family has visited Ossipee Lake, specifically this home for our week's vacation. We love the area, the lake, the view and the accommodations. The house has everything you could want and more. It is well maintained and the view from the deck wonderful. We always hike area trails, kayak the lake and of course swim. Our grand children have grown up driving the golf cart and exploring the inlets in the kayaks. We grilled dinner almost every night, had coffee on the deck each morning and even laundered the hiking clothes. If you are looking to breath the fresh air, get away and relax, enjoy the outdoors, find wonderful trails, be near the water and still have all the conveniences of home...there is no better place!! After six summers we feel we can highly recommend this vacation spot!! Ty it yourselves!!!

So wonderful!!
This was our third trip to this lovely home. We bring our four kids and spend time at the beach canoeing and kayaking, hiking in the nearby mountains. The house is perfect. The boys stay in the ground floor room and our daughter takes the second floor. This year she brought a friend and they both had their own room. My husband and I take the main floor bedroom. The house is stocked with extra towels (which was great because we forgot our own this year and the washer and dryer work great!). We like to grill on the deck and enjoy the screened in porch when it gets really hot, although this year the weather was perfect so we ate on the deck too. Also nice, the house has a plethora of spices, so you don't have to remember every little recipe detail and the basic dry staples seem to always be there (ie sugar for my morning coffee). My husband and I love to get up early to see the sunrise over the mountains and lake and spend quiet time reading with our coffee on the deck. Now that our kids are a little older, they had a blast driving the golf cart to the beach, feeling a little more independant (we walk). The kids spent most of their day playing at the beach, swimming, and boating - that real summer, no requirements kind of play that grows their curiosity and imaginations. It always amazes me with the age spread of 10 years how this place brings the whole group together. The kids canoe around the corner of the cove and go exploring in the water that isn't so deep, so even the youngest feels confident. It's quiet and secluded, yet near to restaurants, shopping, and golf. Can't say enough great things about this place.

We have enjoyed the exchanges with Linda and her family throughout the booking process, and the ongoing communications over the years for a family that enjoys our home for their vacations.

Excellent property
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Bluffs - plenty of room for all of us, really nice beach area that is well maintained by the homeowners association only 1/2 mile away with a golf cart to get us there. Everything was as advertised. The owners were especially attentive and genuinely cared that we enjoyed their property. Morning coffee on the deck watching the sun come up was truly wonderful!

Love this spot!
Our family (two adults and three children) has been vacationing at this home over the past ten years in the summer and for skiing in February. We love it for it's quiet location, roomy living room with fireplace and outdoor screened in porch. During the summer visits we eat our meals on the deck. And during the winter it is easy to get everyone (friends and family) around the big dinning table. We often have extra family come to stay.
The kids love going to the local "MonkeyTrunks" adventure park and we all love hiking in the local mountains as well as Mt. Washington.
During the summer getting to the beach is easy. The kids love the walk. One year we brought our bicycles (the hill up was a little much for the youngest, but fun for all). The beach scene is great. Very low-key. We love sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the lake and mountains. It is really a great place just to relax.

Do not recommend
Does not live up to the description, golf cart does not work and has not for a long time (neighbors told us), owners phone is disconnected when we tried to reach them, once home I had to call and remind them to send back deposit. The house is dark not much sunlight, but big, the water views are minimal. We thought we would be on the water atop a bluff, not the case, there is a street below and a thicket of trees.

Great place for big families
We had a great time here. It was very spacious and great for big families. The finished basement was a nice surprise with another living room and full bathroom. It was clean for the most part, the rugs had stains on it in the living room. But that is expected. It was a beautiful setting and loved the nice big deck and screened in deck on the side of the house. We definitely will be back ! It was also a nice setting for twin boys that are 18 month old and a 2 year old.
