Our 9-year-old daughter chose Driftwood Cottage, and what a wonderful choice it was.After the ferry crossing, this was the perfect place to arrive. We usually spend our holidays exploring, but this cottage invited us to slow down, listen to the sea, read a book, and simply enjoy the moment.Before long, we felt completely at home. Our daughter loved every day here, the cottage is beautifully decorated, the beds are wonderfully comfortable, and the welcome hamper was such a thoughtful surprise.Thank you for sharing this beautiful place. Wonderful relaxing stay at driftwood cottage would without hesitation stay again lovely and cosy and spotlessly clean .Bed very comfortable slept very well outlook straight onto beach a stones throw away perfect for a relaxing peaceful break thank you

Another stay at driftwood cottage

Just returned from a lovely 11 night stay at driftwood cottage, superb location, lovely cottage, could do with some talc, some wallpaper coming off the ceiling, the double bed is really uncomfortable, only a thin mattress , we couldn’t sleep on it, the cleanliness in the cottage was overall clean but the floor in the living room was filthy. All in all a lovely cottage.

Fabulous stay at driftwood cottage

Just had a fantastic week at driftwood cottage, a bit off putting from the front but it’s lovely inside, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and right on Sandgate beach. The cottage has everything you need for a great holiday, can’t wait to return.

Month of bliss by the beach

We had the most wonderful 4-week stay at this lovely cottage! It was an absolute delight - well-equipped, incredibly comfortable, and just steps away from the beautiful beach. I can't recommend it enough!

Stylish and Comfortable

The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable. Discretely decorated throughout in a seascape theme. Complimentary Prosecco, chocolates and biscuits very much appreciated.

Perfect peaceful stay

We had the most wonderful few days staying at Driftwood cottage, such a beautiful cosy home away from home. The house had everything we needed, and there were even some lovely welcome goodies on arrival. Was lovely to be right on the beach, the view from the master bedroom was stunning to wake up to every morning. A blissful stay. Hopefully will return in future!

Perfect for getting away from it all

A place to relax, look at the sea and watch the world go by. The front of the property is on a bus route but once you are inside the cottage and when sitting outside overlooking the sea it is peaceful. Very well equipped for all your needs.

Excellent stay

Had a very enjoyable week at drift cottage .as always my third stay .Right on the beach couldn’t get any closer .A comfortable cottage beautifully furnished .What A comfortable bed with lovely brillant white sheets and towels for use Excellent .

Perfect

Driftwood Cottage was wonderful. The owner Louise was very helpful when called with a question. The cottage was furnished very tastefully and so comfortable and contained everything we required. The views from the cottage were amazing and were the icing on the cake.

Another relaxing stay in sandgate at Driftwood cottage would recommend to anyone who wants fresh air by the sea in a lovely homely cottage right on the sea front .wonderful views and walks to be had on your doorstep the cottage itself is all one could wish for for a wonderful relaxing stay comfortable clean ten out of ten for me would be returning without hesitation.

Family stay

Amazing cottage right by the sea. Stayed for three nights with my children and mum. It was a dream to be able to sit in the garden right next to the beach while the children played in the beach like it was their own private garden. The house had everything we could need down to blankets and beach towels. It was very comfortable and homely. Only slight issue is the bathroom door was very hard to open once closed maybe something to look into.

Two nights at Driftwood

Gorgeous location, breathtaking views! Driftwood is a really lovely cottage, very cute! The house needed a little maintenance and was expensive for what it was, arrived at 2.30 on Wednesday and had to be out by 10.30 Friday. For what we paid , it felt rushed. I think I expected more as we paid a lot.

Seaside Heaven

We have had a superb weekend on the seafront at Driftwood Cottage and feel as though we've been away for a week! The cottage is really beautiful and very well equipped. We were greeted by some lovely goodies including a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our arrival. We absolutely loved morning coffee on the little terrace / sea wall looking out to sea, after an early morning swim. The location is perfect - a lovely 45 minute walk along the seafront in to Folkestone one way and a similar distance to Hythe the other. Lots to do and enjoy but equally, we would have been happy to spend time at the cottage enjoying the sunset. Thoroughly recommend - we have stayed at Driftwood twice now and will definitely be back again!

Perfect Honeymoon Getaway

The cottage was easy to find as it is in Sandgate High Street. We don't drive so having the bus stop right in front of the cottage was a great convenience. The place was pristine and had all the amenities you need for a beach stay. The beds were a great size and very comfortable. You can even hear the ocean's waves from the master's bedroom which was lovely. The beach is right outside the cottage and it's in a perfect location between Hythe and Folkestone, both within walking distance. A lot of great sights and restaurants/cafes to stop by while walking. We had a lovely time and couldn't imagine spending our honeymoon anywhere else. We could not recommend it enough! We will surely come back again.

needs some TLC

needs a bit of a make over bed was smelly .pillows i think place needed a good make over settles in terrible state .chair seen better days as had the flooring down stairs . not many black bags or toilet rolls had to buy the terrace i had to give a good brush and found empty sweet packets but in a beautiful place right on the beach just needs a little update ing on the furniture .and the bedding
