About this property
Georgian Townhouse 5 minutes walk from the harbour, beach, bars & restaurants
A beautiful grade II listed Regency Townhouse tucked away in a pretty quiet street within Ramsgate's conservation area.
The house has been modernized to a high standard, offers spacious accommodation over four floors, and is only short distance away from Ramsgate's Royal Harbour, cafes, restaurants, shops, sandy beaches & coastal walks.
Broad stairs, Margate, Sandwich & Deal are close by.
Ramsgate is easily accessible by car or train from London (1hr15 fast train) & is a 30km drive from Dover
The space
Built in 1842, this elegant historic stucco fronted house is fully modernised whilst retaining many original features. Spacious light filled rooms, white walls, high ceilings, curved sash windows, chandeliers, original fireplaces & floorboards, and comfortable furniture & beds, make this house a lovely environment in which to unwind and relax on your break. The house has full central heating so is cosy in winter months.
The large kitchen- dining area offers plenty of space to cook, eat and enjoy time with your friends or family. With ample room for eight around the dining table and an island providing a lovely area for socializing while cooking, this really is the "heart" of the house.
The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge and a separate freezer, double oven, microwave, five ring gas hob, and family-sized dishwasher. There’s a wide range of pots pans, bowls, glasses, plates, cutlery, and with Waitrose only a three minute walk away, you should have all you need to cook up gastronomic delights during your stay!
There is a sunny enclosed courtyard to the rear of the house that can be accessed from both the lower and upper ground floors. Here you'll also find table and chairs for eight, and solar festoon lights to create an enchanting ambience in the evenings (in summer only).
The large double lounge on the upper ground floor of the house has comfy sofas to stretch out and relax, coffee tables and 43inch Free Sat Smart TV.
The bedrooms are spacious, with King size bed in two, and the third bedroom has two good sized single beds. Beds are well dressed with crisp white sheets and soft freshly laundered towels are provided.
The top floor bedroom has a small balcony area that overlooks the rooftops and has views out to sea. A perfect spot for two to share a glass of wine or to have breakfast.
There are three loos in the house. The family bathroom has a period roll-top bath with a hand-held shower mixer. There is a good sized fully tiled separate shower wet room which is perfect for taking a steamy hot shower or for hosing down the children after swimming in the sea.
The small utility area houses a washing machine/tumble dryer, ironing board.
There is an incredibly easy to put up travel cot and wooden highchair to make life easier if you are travelling with a little one.
Your well behaved family dog is very welcome but we do ask that they do not go on beds or furniture. There are dog friendly beaches in the area that you can enjoy together.
The house has hosted very satisfied Airbnb guests for the past 14 month, during which time our Airbnb page was organised by a third party. I have included some guest reviews of the house in the photograph section. We are now running the Airbnb page ourselves and look forward to hosting you soon. We hope you’ll love the house, the street and Ramsgate as much as we do!
Guest access
The entire house and garden.
Other things to note
Because the house is situated on a small historic street, parking is limited. If you unable to park outside the house, you can stop to unload from the street and park on one of the unrestricted street close by.
