We had a great stay!! The views were amazing!! There was plenty of room for all of us!!!Really enjoyed the beach excess!!The cooler evening temps made for a good nights sleep with windows open!
Casa de Norte on Christmas Cove was great as always. Danielle is the perfect host always communicating! Christmas Cove is a perfect setting for beach relaxation and rock hunting. Northport has everything needed including Barb’s Bakery, a must stop! Bahle’s Farm golf course is a hidden gem. For the wine enthusiast Black Star Farms is a must.
We had a delightful time. The property was as advertised. Sunsets were spectacular and the beach was very nice. Everything we needed in the house was available. We have vacationed in this area for many years and it is one of the most beautiful places in Michigan.
Danielle and team offered their home on a bluff overlooking Christmas Cove with easy stairs down to their private beach. This was our third stay there I highly recommend it! Home is complete with everything needed!

Lake Michigan home.
Fabulous view of Lake Michigan. Quiet secluded neighborhood. Well maintained, clean cottage. Would definitely stay again.
This was a perfect home to celebrate friendship. The cottage was cozy with plenty of room and beds. The private beach was an added bonus and the sunsets over Lake Michigan were heavenly.
The house is in a remote part of the peninsula but close enough to Northport, Leland and Suttons Bay. We enjoyed visiting each little town and having a true up north experience.

So glad that you enjoyed, thank you for your business!
Perfect private location overlooking Lake Michigan! Beautiful sunsets and miles of beach. Perfect spot to hunt for Petosky stones and chill on a Sandy beach. Golf at Bahle Farms is a hidden gem and amazing course and service. Paved trail runs from Sutton’s Bay to Traverse City for active people! LeLand, Sutton’s Bay and Glen Arbor are all within 30 minutes.
We’ve rented this house multiple times and love this property and location. Can’t wait until it’s for sale as we’re ready to invest! 😊

Always happy to have you guys, thanks for another stay :)
Nice house on bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. I stayed in this house many years ago and it has been pleasantly updated inside. The deck is lovely for sitting out during the day or for watching sunsets. There are 70 steps down to beach, just be aware if climbing stairs is an issue. The public beach is right nearby if you need an alternative to the stairs. Rock hounds and children will love the beach. The bed in the lower right-hand bedroom is a bit worn out and rolls to the middle--really the only issue while staying here. Kitchen well appointed. Overall a nice experience.
This home is incredible. The location is great, about an hour away from traverse city and 30 minutes from Sutton bay, Leland, and sleeping bear dunes. The village of northport (6 minute drive away) is so cute, has a great grocery store and fun little shops. For the lake, I highly recommend bringing water shoes as it is rocky however that makes for great petosky stone hunting! The house itself felt homey instantly. I really liked the instruction guide they provided. And the sunsets are to die for. We sat on the balcony and watched the amazing sunsets every night. I 100% recommend this home.

Thank you so much Amy for your stay, it was lovely to have you!
We had a great time staying in Northport with our family and friends. The beach was fantastic and the best views of the Sunset from the porch. Some of the screens had holes in them allowing bugs to get in and were hard to open and close. But you are in the woods so bugs are abundant. The house was well stocked with all the essentials for cooking like spices and cookware. The kitchen was very nice and spacious. Beds downstairs are Full beds not Queen as described on VBRO just so the next renters are aware. All and all the house had everything we needed and we had a great stay. Danielle was very responsive.

Perfect location for Leelanau getaway
We were so impressed with the views and setting of this rental. Stunning staircase to Lake Michigan below with several landings for extra views. The porch deck faces the lake - a wonderful place for morning coffee and reading. The large back lawn accommodates outdoor games. We did not encounter any problems while there. Danielle quickly responded to questions we had.
Kitchen is functional and well-stocked. The living space on the first floor is large, comfortable, and inviting. Washer/dryer and dishwasher are excellent.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are adequate - we hope the owners continute with updates to this part of the house. The master bedroom has windows facing the lake and offers the sound of the waves to fall asleep to.
All in all, a great stay at a great property!

Thank you Sharon - It was great to have your group, so glad to hear that you had a good time. We are looking forward to continuing with renovations for next year, hoping to tackle the downstairs bathroom and bedrooms - it's been a fun first year. Hope you visit us again!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Huge disappointment
Considering the weekly cost and reassurance of diligent cleaning, the property was not sufficiently clean. Large clumps of hair were found in the shower drain. Many windows were not functional, holes in the screen doors, rotten wood in one of the bedrooms, mold around bathroom sink, stained sheets, deck that was in disrepair. No satellite TV or even DVR that was supposed to work. The location is great and beach was excellent.

Hello - I am so sorry that you did not find the property cleaned to your satisfaction, I wish you would have told us that and I would have been happy to send the cleaners. They do excellent work and have never had a complaint, but I’ll surely convey the message. We do a deep clean before every season and snaking hair from the drains is on the list, however perhaps we should do it again mid-summer with the large flow of traffic. I apologize and wish we could have done something to amend the situation while you were there. We use white sheets so that we can bleach them, I was not aware of any stains but we would have been happy to replace anything that was not satisfactory for you. There is not rotten wood inside the home, or mold and the deck is most certainly not in disrepair. We have a beach cottage, it is quaint and charming - the windows need to be upgraded and there is not cable TV. I would recommend this home for people that are looking for a casual, relaxed, northern Michigan beach vacation... not for those who are expecting a five star hotel.

Northport area is the best! Loved the location of the house!
The view and sunsets were a 10 out of 5! The beach was a 10 out of 5! The location was a 10 out of 5 (close to Peterson Park, Northport, a beautiful 9 hole golf course, Christmas Cove beach, Leelanau State Park, hiking and more! The house was adequate for the 8 of us, although one of the five beds was just a foam mattress on a solid wooden frame in the loft. Bring extra towels (we had 5 washcloths for the 8 of us), paper towels (1 roll supplied), extra trash bags ,lightbulbs for lamps (several were burned out) and bar soap. There is no land line and no cell phone coverage in the house. Be sure you can get wifi phone on your cell phones as there is wifi in the house.
Part of the house had been recently updated apparently, and was quite nice, but the upstairs bedrooms and bath need some attention, as did the landscaping. Hopefully, curtains will be added to the master bedroom as there was no sleeping in with no curtains! And hopefully the owners will install the smoke alarms we obtained free of charge at the local fire department. We were surprised there were none in the house. This house will be very popular and sought after, once the upgrades are complete.
We had a fantastic week and fell in love with Northport and the area.

Stunning Views and Perfect Quiet Location
Our family of four (with two teenage sons) had a wonderful vacation. The house lived up to expectations: easy access to a lovely 1.5 mile-long beach, unbeatable sunsets from the deck, 3 miles to quaint Northport and 12 to 15 miles to the slightly busier Leland and Suttons Bay. Without even trying, I collected over 20 petoskey stones and many more fossils and other interesting rocks. Our water-loving dog had the time of his life on the beach. We had kayaks delivered to us from the rental place in Northport and kayaked to Cathead Bay. Most of the days were temperate, but we had a few hot days and found that the A/C in the master bedroom worked very well and that, generally, air flowed through the house well. Overall, extremely relaxing and enjoyable trip.
The kitchen was modern and well equipped with pots and pans. We were surprised that there were no spices or condiments (not even salt), but maybe that was because we were there early in the season. And we thought the owner could have provided a few other things (more toilet paper and charcoal, for example). Hoping the owner is still considering renovations to the upstairs bathroom, which, although fine, didn't match the rest of the house's upgrades. We should also note, for anyone interested, that there is no cell service and the wifi is ok for emailing but not strong enough for doing a lot of other things. Absolutely fine for me, but a few family members were hoping to use the wifi to stream the World Cup. They easily found places to watch in town.
I note these things just so others are aware, but we had a lovely vacation and would definitely consider coming back!

Thanks for your feedback and your business, hope to see you again soon!
House was wonderful, although needs some major landscaping management. Stairs to the beach were a bit much, but we knew that before we booked. We drove older family members to the Christmas Cove access which was literally two houses down. House was in a great location. We all enjoyed the fireplace while watching the gorgeous sunsets every night. Unfortunately the beach was ALL rocks, covered with dead fish (out of the owners control), not great for swimming.
Took our honeymoon here in November and had an absolute blast. The place is beautiful and the view is to die for. Hot coffee and a roaring fire next to an unobscured view of the wonderful Lake Michigan is the most cozy experience of my life by far. Property manager was extremely quick to respond to all questions. I can't recommend this place enough

Congrats you two, so happy to be part in some way of the beginning of your lives together!
Enjoyed our stay. Great clean house on the lake that is dog friendly! Great sunset views and peaceful mornings. Close to a lot of wineries and Northport. Wifi internet also was fast which is important in this day!
Beautiful setting on bluff overlooking Lk Michigan!
Everything was as promised! Perfect setting for beach on Lk Michigan, perfect deck setting to view sunsets, grille was appreciated, Barb’s Bakery in Northport is not to be missed, cafe in town with fresh roasted beans and breakfast sandwiches, orchards, Black Starm Farm for wine is a treat, if a golfer then Bahle Farms is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere…! One of the most beautiful courses! Enjoy!
The property is awesome. The views are amazing. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The living room and dining room were large and comfortable areas that fit all of us. The main floor bedrooms are adequate but not spacious. The master bedroom upstairs is quite large and does have air conditioning. The deck is nice and we hung out on the deck chairs a lot. There is a charcoal grill but you have to bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Also, they no longer provide beach chairs which I wish we had known in advance. The beach is great but the other reviews that say it is a hike are correct- probably close to 100 steps down to get to the beach. The steps are very sturdy, wide and well built but that is a lot of steps if you are older or carrying a toddler. Overall, we would stay again if we are in the area again.
This house was perfect for two families. Had pretty much everything we needed and was even provided toilet paper, soap, seasonings etc. The view is amazing and you can hear the lake from all the back windows. It was nice to even cook a meal and able to view the water. The private beach access was wonderful and we practically had the beach to ourselves. Most people on the public Christmas Cove beach stayed down the way from us. But there were lots of rock collectors who walk down.
Downtown northport was cute. Has a few restaurants. But some places do close a bit early so I would try to get to those places early on during the day. There is a park there for kids. Mitten brewing has a nice patio with a pizza food truck that is yummy. Don’t forget to try Barb’s bakery. Yummy cherry pastries and old fashion donuts. They do sell out so go early.
We do go into town, Sutton’s bay, Leland, traverse city, fish town and glen arbor. We went to the Sleeping bear dunes-def a must to go there. And empire park was a great place to swim with the water being so clear. Very pretty.
It was a very relaxing trip. We felt like we did a lot but also relaxed a lot. Had a fire on the beach where we tasted hot dogs and s’mores one night. We would def recommend this house and the area.
Had a slight issue with no trash pickup but our host quickly responded back to our messages. Everyone had their space in the house and enjoyed themselves as well. The kids did not want to leave!! Or the adults!!
This is a wonderful homey home right on Lake Michigan, its own stairs down to a beautiful beach. Really nice kitchen appliances, a bit stone fireplace, a great deck and grill. Comfy, homey, perfect beach cottage!
Although it was cold outside, our stay was such an amazing getaway. We were able to get to the water easily, had access to everything we needed in the kitchen/laundry/game departments and much more. We have already discussed staying there again!!
