About the host
Hosted by Steve Chapman
I have a passion for real estate investing, home remodeling and decorating. And a love for the waters of Northern Michigan!!I have owned numerous long and short term rental properties in the past 20 years. In addition to the Northport property I own a property in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I like to create unique properties that reflect the materials and details that I would want if I were to rent a property.
Why they chose this property
I began visiting Northport when I was 10 years old when my parents would bring our boat North and keep it in the marina for the summer. As I began to have my own kids I started to realize just how amazing Northport and Leelanau County are--I call Northport the Aruba of Michigan and the best kept secret in Michigan, if not the Midwest. My wife and I searched for years for the perfect place to call our own in Northport and we found it in 2017. I spent the majority of the Summer and Fall of 2017 gutting and upgrading this "Beach House" so that it would be an amazing place for my family, my friends and those looking for a fantastic week on the lake in Northport.
What makes this property unique
This house has incredible views from just about every room and typically has calm water in front of it as it is protected on 3 sides from the wind. The beach is pure Michigan sugar sand and is just 50 feet from the deck with no stairs or bluff to climb.--I believe this to be one of the best stretches of beach in Leelanau. The area offers things to do 12 months of the year.
