Spectacular Ocean Front House, Views and Sunsets!

“Casa Montana”, on the shimmering, east shore of the Sea of Cortez, is our special retreat from a busy world. Located in the gated, relaxed community of Villas California, it is where the Sonoran Desert meets the Sea of Cortez and where you’ll experience the most magnificent sunsets imaginable! Just minutes away, nestles the charming, gringo-friendly town of San Carlos offering marinas, deep sea fishing adventures and sunset cruises, a casual 18-hole golf course, an array of dining options from family-owned taquerias to seafood, steak and wood-fired pizza restaurants, Mexican art and crafts shopping and more.

Our house is a unique, Mexican-style home. From its sturdy, brick and stucco walls, its arched doorways, locally-made floor tile throughout, to its colorful hand-painted talavera tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. The visitor enters the property through a lush, palm-filled courtyard, passing by a sparkling blue and while tiled fountain. Upon entering the house the magnificent, panorama view of the ocean takes your breath away. The neutral-colored, high walls, shimmering Moroccan dome and sultry ceiling fans create an exotic atmosphere that offers hospitality and calm to the traveler. All three bedrooms have king-size beds and en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers.

“Casa Montana” has everything you would desire in a house right on the beach – including palapa and roof top dining. The terraces also offer seclusion and privacy for sunbathing and relaxing in the hot tub. On lazy, sultry afternoons you can enjoy a snooze, or quiet reading on the king-size siesta room bed within ear shot of gently lapping waves. A few more steps and you’re in the sea. Some of the best snorkeling is right there, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and more. Our beautiful, sand dune Algodones Beach beckons you to a stroll along its shoreline, after which you can enjoy a refreshing margarita at our charming Soggy Peso Beach Bar before you head back to the house.

All this, and more, is awaiting you at “Casa Montana” on the shore of the beautiful and bountiful Sea of Cortez. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

This was my first trip to San Carlos and I can tell you right now, spread the word NOT to go there (definitely sarcasm). This is an amazing little gem of a Town with flares of Baja California mixed with the Greek Isles. Add that with the cheerful , dedicated, friendly locals.Ron was beyond wonderful. Also you can rely on Caesar if you need anything while you jet ski, sail, wakeboard , fish, snorkel, and the list goes on and on.The one thing I didn’t realize when booking Casa Montana was that l the pool isn’t at the Casa, is a community pool but still very nice and acceptable. Like we had any time to swim in a pool anywhere !!

SIMPLY AWESOME!!!

The photos of this home are amazing, but experiencing it in real life is even more amazing! The owner built the home after carefully researching layouts and you will be rewarded with everything being exactly as you need it on a grandiose level! You often visit places that you say that you will definitely be back, but this is one that you will actually follow thru on that promise! We were met at check in with a run thru on how the house operated. Than may sound funny, but there are so many amenities that you need to be shown everything that you can and will enjoy. There is absolutely no way that you won't be as impressed with this property as we were, so ENJOY!

Wow! What a beautiful home!!

We take a fishing trip to SC every year and this house is phenomenal. The view is 2nd to none with all the amenities you could ask for. This house is a must see if you're looking for a unique and ulta comfortable stay.

Everything about this property was incredible. We’ll definitely be back. This home was on the higher end financially of what we were looking to spend on this trip but it is truly worth every penny and I’m so glad that we rented it! Ron was a great host and popped in to make us feel super welcome and give us helpful tips about the area. I cannot recommend this home enough!

COZY HOME INFRONT THE SEA

LOVELY HOUSE WITH A GREAT TERRACE AND A COOL FIRE PIT. KIDS LOVED THE JACUZZI AND HAD A LOT OF FUN LOOKING FOR SHELLS IN THE ROCKS UNDER THE HOUSE. ITS MEXICAN STYLE MAKE IT COZY AND RON ALWAYS ANSWERS QUICKLY SO MAKES IT EASY TO COMMUNICATE.

Absolutely beautiful house on a stunning property

My travel companions and myself were BLOWN AWAY with the beauty of this house! We're already talking about renting here again. Some of the best snorkeling we've done is literally just a few steps outside. The house came with a transparent kayak (!!!), Paddle board, and two other kayaks...too many amenities to list, honestly. The house itself is very spacious, and we all appreciated that each bedroom suite came with it's own shower and bath. We made great use of the large (and well-equipped) kitchen and outdoor barbeque. Most evenings were spent on the multi-tiered outdoor patios. (The views simply can't be beat.) The property location was ideal, too. It's very close to the beach and just a few minutes drive from the town. Not that you'll feel motivated to leave. I'd also like to note that the property owner is very responsive and communicative! Stay here. There's no way you'll regret it.

Gorgeous home with an incredible view!

Our stay was worth every penny. The view from the lower level, main level and roof top are stunning! You could plan to not leave this house at all during your stay if you wish. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the views or an evening spent with your friends/family. There’s a gas fire pit and hot tub as well. The area is gorgeous and provides ample entertainment for the whole family. There is a public beach close by, two grocery stores if you don’t want to lug food and supplies along for the trip, and plenty of local restaurants to choose from. We absolutely loved our stay!

Amazing ocean front home

My husband and I spent the week of Christmas at this lovely home. The owners went to great lengths to make our stay special (putting up a Christmas tree, planting lovely flowers, making sure we had coffee and water when we got there). We enjoyed the decks, beautiful ocean views and sounds and hot tub every day. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook at home. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of San Carlos. We will definitely be back and hope to stay at Casa Montana again.

The house and view exceeded all expectations. Absolutely gorgeous!

RENT THIS HOUSE!!! So beautiful. The house was amazing and the beds were so comfortable. Best sleep of my life. Snorkel, Kayak, Paddle Board right from the back porch. Very short walk to White beaches. I would love to visit again. There were a few small hiccups. The previous guests left very late and left a huge mess. The cleaning crew was there until 7:30pm. The City turned off the water, so we did have running water for about half of the second day. The Jacuzzi had to be drained and cleaned, then the filter was clogged, again from the mess of the previous guests. We weren't able to use it until the 3rd night. We had trouble reaching the house manager via phone and text, but Ron responded right away. Finally, the Blue kayak has a slow leak. Maybe just use the red one. These minor inconveniences would not keep me from renting again. RENT THIS HOUSE!

We wanted to retire on the beach. When friends brought us to Villas California in San Carlos, we knew this was the place where we wanted to build our retirement home. And so we did!

Why they chose this property

When friends invited us to join them on a trip to San Carlos. We fell in love with Algodones Beach and the location of Villas California. We purchased the lot the first day we arrived and discovered it. It was the best decision we made for spending time on the ocean in our retirement years.

What makes this property unique

Because we love the traditional design features of mexican homes this is what we built. We studied available information on mexican color, design, etc and designed our house accordingly.
