Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful location. It was very spacious and extremely well equipped. The cottage is stylishly decorated and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
Had a great stay, plenty of space for a 3 generation family. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you would need and the welcome App is a great help! The location is quiet and peaceful but accessible to all the local points of interest.
We had a truly wonderful stay at this cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. The property is incredibly spacious—perfect for accommodating three generations of our family, along with our dogs, without ever feeling crowded.Everything was very well equipped, with all the essentials (and more) thoughtfully provided, making our stay comfortable and stress-free from the moment we arrived. The welcome basket was such a lovely touch and a really nice surprise after our journey. The location is ideal too—peaceful and private, yet just a short drive to the beautiful beaches, as well as the bars and cafés in Bamburgh. It gave us the best of both worlds: a tranquil retreat with easy access to local attractions.
The house was fantastic. The facilities were excellent and the area was wonderful for the whole family. We enjoyed exploring Northumberland and would be eager to return.
If i had to sum the cottage and the holiday in one word it would be Heaven but There is not much else can be said for this amazing place that would do it justice you have to experience it for yourself We were so lucky we found it and hope to get back again next year
Lovely large house, more than enough room for us all (8) and 2 dogs.
Views of the sea from the garden, fully equipped kitchen. Stayed in northumberland lots of times but have now found a house to come back to.
Had an amazing 2 week stay in a lovely house in a beautiful setting. House decorated to a high standard and is very comfortable. Location is perfect for exploring Northumberland. Highly recommend
The location of the house is perfect for visiting various beaches & historic towns, nothing was too far. The house is very well equipped and felt very cosy but with plenty of space, especially with our 2 golden retriever dogs. They also loved the garden, with lots of room to run around. We can definitely see ourselves returning here sometime in the future.
The house is in a lovely location, quiet yet close to the A1 for access to even more lovely locations.I was back home from America, with my family, for my nephew’s wedding. After the wedding I had some old friends staying too. Beautiful Northumbria county.House was perfect, thank you!
We would highly recommend this property! Very cozy and homely. The welcome pack of essentials was very much appreciated. There were six of us and two dogs and there was plenty of room for all of us. All bedrooms are a good size. Easy to get to the beaches and surrounding areas. The cottage is located in very picturesque, peaceful surroundings. We instantly felt relaxed and enjoyed our time there immensely. We will hopefully be back and will take our golf clubs next time!
This break was booked for three generations of our family to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday - accompanied by Mum's ever-faithful dog!
There were a lot of boxes to tick when sourcing a suitable property, but 'Skyfall' came out top of the shortlist, and delivered beyond our expectations!
The location is beautiful: rural, peaceful, with amazing views from the seating areas of the large, lawned front garden; whilst the privacy of the paved, back courtyard is a perfect, quiet retreat.
The house is stunning: spacious, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, stylishly decorated & furnished to the highest standards, equipped with everything you could need - and more!
Service and communication with the owner was very prompt, clear, helpful and friendly from start to finish.
We were sad to leave; we would love to return; and we cannot recommend this property highly enough...
We had a lovely Christmas here again. Every conceivable need met from dog bowls and food mixer to slow cooker and 3 electric ovens
Beautiful bedrooms with lovely mattresses pillows and bedding. Plenty of parking, big kitchen table- ideal for playing games, laying out train sets as well as eating
Large lounge with plenty of comfortable seating and wood burning stove which kept us warm and toasty
This year back garden has been paved so dogs can be outside without getting muddy
Only second time in 19 years have stayed in the same cottage twice - think that says it all. Thanks Kate for hosting us
Kate was fantastic at keeping in touch about the booking, and the property was even better than I’d imagined. Every detail had been thought of, it was just like a home from home. There were a wonderful selection of board games that suited the kids and the grandparents!
The front paddock is ideal for dogs as it is fully secure and has a lovely seating area.
Even the kitchen has everything you need including a huge selection of condiments!
We visited Holy Island, Bamburgh, & Craster, all of which were within close driving distance.
All in all a perfect place- and the best cottage we’ve ever rented. Can’t wait to return!
Fantastic property in a beautiful and peaceful location
What a fantastic find! We had a wonderful fortnight staying at 'Skyfall' cottage for our first visit to Northumberland. The property was clean, comfortable, well-equipped and had everything we needed. Despite not actually meeting face to face, the owner was very responsive and helpful in answering questions via email. The location is beautiful and so peaceful and the children (aged 7 and 10) loved having the large garden to run around in. There were plenty of places to visit - all within about 30/40 minutes drive - including of course the gorgeous sandy beaches, castles, parks and gardens. Hope to return one day!
Would highly recommend this cottage. Beautifully presented, well appointed and loads of space (including a football pitch of a front garden!) Perfectly located near all that beautiful Northumberland has to offer. We hope to return one day!
Beautiful cottage, furnished to a very high standard, well equipped accommodation. Large garden (paddock) for children and dogs to play safely in.
This superb cottage is situated In a small hamlet with wonderful countryside views and quiet country lanes.
A car needed to access shops, pubs, beaches and castles.
This cottage and the countryside surroundings exceeded our family expectations, certainly deserves a five star rating.
