It was just what we needed as a place to wind down and to use as a base to explore the Isle of Wight. It was definitely quirky, but we like that, everything we needed was there.Hosts were just next door if we had needed anything. All good from our end.

Sitting on the dock of the bay

It really is a very cosy and inviting yurt, with wonderfully eclectic decor. The owner made me feel very welcome, and it was fun to sit on the boardwalk in front of the yurt and listen to curlews. It is a short walk into the village for provisions, and there is a bus stop just a few metres' walk away. The road behind the yurt is a little busy in 'rush hour', but the position makes up for it. I haven't been to the island since I was a moody adolescent. It's lovely, full of variety.
