Conch Key- An old-fashioned lobster and crab fishing village that can only accommodate a few lucky tourists who want great fishing and diving and a complete rest! You can often pick up fresh seafood from the local fishermen.
Conch Key Landing (CKL) is our family's unpretentious waterfront winter home which we invite you to share. It is completely equipped and spotlessly clean. We provide everything you need for a great vacation. CKL is directly on Florida Bay. A five minute boat ride from our protected dockage will take you under the US1 bridge to the oceanside flats, the reefs and the Gulfstream. Superb sunsets, bird and fish viewing. Lie in a hammock or relax in our comfortable deck chairs under the palms and let the world go by.
Our friendly, knowledgeable, property managers, live only two doors away. They are most happy to provide you with information about the Keys and to ensure that CKL remains in top condition so that you will have a pleasurable stay.

Lovely
The house was exactly as pictured. Clean, well-maintained, quiet. It is right on the water and conveniently located in the middle Keys which makes it easy to explore. I will definitely return!

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. We just arrived 5 days ago for our annual 6 weeks. The fishing has been excellent and our 3 dogs are enjoying their morning runs on the “dog beach”. Obviously we love our place too. Philip and Sue Stuart.

Not too bad for the money
When arriving the area is a little rough on Conch Key which was a little alarming. As soon as we walked into the property the ceiling dry wall hadn't been fixed from a previous leak with exposed pipes which was also alarming. When walking into the property itself, there was a musty smell and it was smaller than anticipated. However, the property managers were very friendly and accommodating! Although the check in procedure and check out procedure were a little unclear, when asked they provided the information. Having the option for 3 different docks in the backyard was a great amenity as we brought our 24 foot bay boat that fit perfectly. Keep in mind, the closest boat ramp is VERY tight and small which was worrisome when dropping the boat in the water to bring to the house. All in all, we had a great stay but it was not entirely what we were expecting. This isn't a bash on this place, just giving our opinion. You get what you pay for here. Next time we may spend a little more money on our place.

We are glad you ultimately enjoyed your stay. The leak to which you refer was only repaired a very short time before your arrival. The site was left open to allow the affected area to thoroughly dry. It is the rainy season in the Florida Keys and things do not dry quickly. The leak was an unwelcome event (it never happened before). It took some time to find and cost several thousand dollars of expert repair. Please believe that it was a “one of” unwelcome event that we hope will never recur. It clearly detracted from CKL’s usual appearance, but couldn’t destroy the key’s charm that makes a vacation there so special.

Read this before you stay!
If I could leave this listing 0 stars, I would. Upon arriving and entering our rental, we were overwhelmed with the smell of mold and mildew. This home is engulfed in black mold and bugs!! There is black mold around the trim, everywhere in the bathroom, growing on pillows/blankets in the closets, furniture, cabinets, coming out the air vents, etc. It’s everywhere! The cabinets in the bathroom and in the kitchen have obvious, extensive water damage. The cabinets are warped very badly and falling apart from the water damage. There are also little spiders and black bugs everywhere in this home! We immediately confronted the property managers about this issue and they acted surprised. (But I’m not sure how, because the smell is overwhelming. They knew it was there.) Needless to say, in the end, we were refunded part of our money for our stay. The property managers kept some of our money for the “cleaning” fee and for “commission” that they make off of our stay, according to Denise. Joan was okay to deal with, however Denise was not. I reported this home to VRBO and have sent pictures to them. Do yourself a favor and do not book this home.

We are sincerely sorry that the plumbing developed a leak shortly before your stay. We have been renting for more than 10 years and all but 2 reviews in that time were less than 5 ( the lowest a 3). The leak was not a flood, but obviously accumulated during the Covid 19 shutdown period. The only evidence that there was trouble was the mold that developed just before your arrival. Our response was immediate. A professional restorer was brought on site within hours of your alerting us. We refunded ALL of your money and I notice that you quite happily stayed the full time of your reservation without further complaint. The apartment suffered significant damage and is undergoing insured repairs to the tune of several thousand dollars. Obviously this was an acute problem, not at all reflecting the care and pride we take in maintaining CKL. Your review was an uncalled for commentary on an event which could not have been prevented.. Again we are truly sorry that this unpleasant experience occurred, but we hope the balance of your stay as our guests after the first day was enjoyable.
We trailered our boat down from SC and were so happy to have the ability to tie up to the boat slip right in front of the property. The place was very boat-friendly and had a hose, fish cleaning table, deep freezer for bait, and more. We were able to park our trailer right down the road in the county-owned property near the marina since parking was a bit tight with other guests on the property, so bring a lock but rest assured it is a safe place. Great spot and can't wait to go back!
The property was clean and well-prepared. Check-in was very flexible and Denise (property manager) was prompt with communicating all details to us. Perfect fishing village feel...quiet with a nice dock and a great view. Be aware that there are 3 total units that share the property - thus other guests. We would definitely stay there again.

Good location, well kept home with everything needed
Place was well kept and clean. Location is midway between key largo and key west making it easy to go in any direction for site seeing. Property manager was very nice and helpful. You can get fresh seafood right from the boats coming in.

WE had planed for a get away for my daughters 26 B-DAY we had booked for 6 adults and a dog only 5 made it and the dog did also we made a request 2 weeks before to check in earlier than the allowed time of 4:00 pm the property manager said if no one is there not a problem called back to clarify time we did not make it until late that same nite they were very accommodating they have a dog (very nice ) that in the morning our dog (very nice ) apparently growled at the other dog the property manger said something to my daughter like control your dog then some guy that lives next door brings the innocent (very nice ) dog over I was down stairs unloading my truck and he lets the dog of the leash and when I asked what are you doing he replied this is his place he does this every day, well after hearing that our dog had just earlier growled I did not think that was appropriate thing to do at that time fast forward they got to know each other the way dogs do and all is well with to (very nice ) dogs that was Friday morning ,went and enjoyed the day . on Saturday morning I was walking our (very nice) dog , and the other property manager ask when we were leaving on Sunday , I responded check out time is eleven so around 10:30 or so went and enjoyed the day . On Sunday was walking the (very nice) dog ,we came across the other (very nice) dog and property manager ,dogs did what dogs do manager asked if we could we could leave because they had people coming in at 12:00 noon could we strip the beds and get them down stair to wash . I guess what I am getting at is that the property manager doesn't seam to like younger people and dogs that may growled at there dog . I am In my 50tys the group was early 20s educated no loud music , talking ,etc. .We enjoyed the property it is not bad loved the fishing from the dock . Thought it was overrated ,There was no BBQ tools just stuff from kitchen ,grill was old and rusted ,difficult to operate , very tight for six people ,only one trash bag ,no paper towels, If you go to this place you will have a great and wonderful time , just keep in mind that the younger set and growling dogs may be a issue , Bring your paper towels
