Town: Once Scotland’s smallest city, the town of Elgin now boasts its own football team, and still holds its bustling atmosphere! It is the administrative capital of Morayshire and a place with many attractions in an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Situated along the banks of the River Lossie the town has grown and flourished and has grand stone buildings and of course the famous cathedral which dates back to the 13th century. Other places of interest in the area include many distilleries, Elgin Museum and Baxters of Fochabers. For walkers, the Speyside Way footpath provides a wonderful network of paths with fantastic sea views and wildlife.
