Casa Windlenook is a beautiful 5 Star luxury villa with front-line sea and mountain views and private heated pool, located on the exclusive Cumbre del Sol, close to Moraira and Javea. The spectacular elevated position of the house means you'll enjoy the breath-taking sea views (so close you can hear it!) and dramatic mountain views every where you turn. Designed personally by the owners Eleanor & Mike to a very high specification, great care and attention has been paid to every little detail in this immaculate home from home - so all you need to do is arrive, relax and unwind!

OUTDOORS - chill out on the two sun-drenched south and west facing terraces, and enjoy marvellous views west to the mountains, or gazing south to the sea you can spend your day watching the boats and jet-skis go by. The private heated pool, plenty of sun loungers, outdoor sofa, plus a covered Naya and electric awning give options for swimming, sunbathing or shade when the sun gets a little too hot. Dining Al Fresco is a pleasure with stylish outdoor furnishings, a top of the range Weber Gas BBQ - and amazing views! The pool terrace includes a glamorous glass brick pool shower - making taking in those fabulous views even more enjoyable.... even in the shower!

INDOORS - the open-plan sunny living and dining area oozes quality with contemporary super-comfy furnishings and top of the range entertainment options - Samsung 4K UHD Smart TV with SKY, Movies & Sports channels, Soundbar (connect your device via Bluetooth), and Fibre broadband WiFi is available throughout the villa. The three bedrooms have top quality divan beds with Egyptian cotton linens for a super-comfortable sleep. We had a wonderful stay and will be going back in 2017. The customer service was excellent before we even visited the villa, which gave us great confidence regarding what to expect on arrival. The description of the villa was accurate and the photos too it is every bit as beautiful as it looks. The amenities were superb. The hosts have honestly thought of everything needed for a wonderful holiday, in the kitchen, lounge, bedrooms bathrooms and outside. The welcome pack is the best we have ever had. It is stated in the advert that a car is essential and this s true however several lovely, welcoming towns with numorous restaurants to choose from are close by which entails a very short drive. If you want a change from the super pool ( we had it heated) the sandy beach is a short drive away. The villa was very clean and well maintained with plenty of household equipment if needed. I would recommend this villa to friends and family without hesitation.

Fantastic Property with Brilliant Sea Views

Myself and my partner were looking to book a holiday together at the last minute and by sheer good fortune we were able to get timely communication with Mike and Eleanor to arrange so quickly. The villa was exceptional and was situated in a quiet, clean, peaceful residential area, with the added bonus of having a picturesque view out to sea affording sunshine throughout the day with lovely sunsets in the evening. Crucially for myself the terrace also has a shaded area with dining table outside which meant my partner and I could still be together comfortably without one of us being on a different level. The terrace also overlooks the pool area so I'm sure it would be the perfect vantage point from which parents could keep an eye on any children and there is an electric awning which is easy to use for shade when down at the pool. The interior of the villa has been finished to an exceptionally high standard. It is very light and very clean.The kitchen, living room, and internal dining area are open plan and provide a very spacious area for families to relax in, with sliding doors out onto the terrace. There is also a 3D HDTV attached to the wall with DVD player which does have Sky UK and therefore football available. The owners have done a fantastic job of making your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible and the local property manager, Lorraine, is lovely and will always be on hand to help or give advice if you need it. There is a comprehensive information book, some games, books, binoculars and WiFi which is helpful for Google Maps (P.S. Google Maps now has an offline feature which means you can still be tracked whilst in Airplane mode) You will definitely need a car for this property, however the drive to the beautiful town of Moraira is not difficult, with parking available just before you get into the town and from there an incredibly short walk to the beach and restaurants. Moraira is probably the closest town and we ourselves didn't travel to Javea or Denia this time but they seem fairly close too. Within Cumbre Del Sol there is also a fantastic restaurant, Restaurant La Cumbre, just next to the Pepe La Sal supermarket which is worth trying out. Hopefully this review has helped you realise what a great villa this is, and if so, I've given something back for the lovely week we spent there. Thank you to Mike and Eleanor for a fantastic stay and to Lorraine for being so helpful. We'll be back again in the near future!

This property leaves little to be desired. The mattresses, sofas, and dining chairs were all very comfortable. The kitchen was well-supplied not only with utensils and appliances, but even with some food items. Nice wool blankets and cozy gas fireplace for the winter. Everything was in working order, and there were no musty smells or unpleasant odors. Lovely view, elaborate home-entertainment system, quiet neighborhood (in February at least), helpful caretaker. A car is essential. The location is often breezy.

The villa is just beautiful and the view is out of this world. We had a very pleasant two weeks there. The closest town to the villa is Moraira which has plenty of great restaurants, a large beach, and plenty of areas to sit or go for a walk. The whole area is very clean and the people are friendly. I highly recommend the villa as well as the whole region where it is situated. What a great place to spend a vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at this clean and comfortable home. Evenings enjoying a nice wine watching the moon come over the sea and days relaxing around the pool in the sun. The properties manager was extremely helpful and accommodating to our requests and always respected our privacy. I would highly recommend staying at this home as it was a place to come back from excursions throughout Spain to relax and feel right at home at.

Wow, just wow!

How do you do justice in a review to a place that provides everything you could possibly want? Where do you start -- the view, the accommodation, the location, the personal touches, what would most people want to know? Let me try by saying if you want a perfect location with superb view of the sea and the nearby mountains ( fabulous sunsets), then look no farther. If you want a dining terrace with a Weber grill that makes fish, steak, hamburgers, chicken and even pizza mouth watering, then this is the place. (Plenty of close grocery stores to choose from) But maybe you want to relax on the most comfortable bed, or enjoy fantastic entertain media ( 3D TV and full Sky Network package) , or browse the internet via 54Mbps wifi, or take full advantage of the Cumbria del Sol wonderful sunshine from either the upper terrace or by your own private (heated for a fee) pool on the lower terrace, if so look no further -- Casa Windlenook has all of these and more. Quit looking for a better place, there is none! The English-speaking owners and manager anticipated every need and were extremely responsive and helpful when we had questions. We could start our holiday from the minute we entered the property. The guide and references for the local area and amenities in the villa was comprehensive. Very quiet here with a slow pace and little traffic in November when we visited. We have already told our friends and family that they should have joined us! The listing and photos are not "hyped", but in fact do not do justice to this home.

Fantastic Villa very relaxing

Throughly recommend this Villa all the home comforts and more! we had a very relaxing week and even managed some work with a fabolous view in the back ground whilst the kids enjoyed the warm pool. The Villa is very well looked after and clean the description doesn't do it justice every thing you need is there and more, attention to detail is excellent. Christmas and New Year 2008-2009

We found this lovely villa at the Internet and took contact. We (a Swedish family with 2 adults, one teenager and one nine year old) rented it for two weeks in Christmas and new year 2008-2009. The house, the views, the beds, the heated pool, the top of the line electronics, the kitchen, the internet, the exclusive standard – everything 100% top class. Its suitable for all types of people in different ages. We were so relaxed when we came home. We really recommend Casa Windlenook with the really lovely owners Eleanor and Mike, and not to forget Karen who took care of us at the stay. Book it immediately - you will not regret it!

Pure Relaxation

Had a great week at this lovely villa, it was exactly as Mike and Eleanor described, just take your clothes and unwind. The views are breath taking and the pool was great to relax in and unwind. We would recommend this villa to families and couples of all ages, a car is a must, but this villa is in such a great location and a great base to go off exploring..so go on get booking and enjoy. We had such a fantastic holiday at this first class villa that when we returned to the UK within 24 hours we had booked for 2008. This villa is beautifully furnished to the highest standard. Everything we needed was there. We are true holiday snobs but we could not find fault. The owners were really helpful and made this holiday easy. The children were delighted to find the ice pops which was one of the many items supplied in the welcome pack. Lots of information in the villa with regard to supermarkets, restaurants and days out. This is a truly relaxing holiday in 5 star luxury. I would urge anyone to stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Fabulous views

We had a great stay with friends, and the size of the villa is perfect for 2 couples. We didn't use the pool, but the terrace is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and soak in the view. Try the local restaurants, and of course, the local wines. The setting is very steep and hilly, so a car is needed. Be sure to visit the local beach.

First Visit to Costa Blanca!

A beautifully maintained and well appointed villa, yes I know that sounds like a realty ad but in this instance it's true! We were very comfortable and blessed with good weather so staying by the pool and enjoying the terrace during the days and evenings was a real pleasure. We hired a vehicle from the local airport and discovered that the villa is well positioned for day trips and visiting the area's towns and villages in this beautiful part of Spain. Believe me, well worth the trip and we plan on heading back the next time we're in Europe!

* my family and I (six adults) spent a month at Casa Windlenook summer 2006. * the property is exactly as described by Mike and Eleanor: very well furnished; beds really comfie (big bonus!); all the amenities that we wanted; the views are spectacular; the pool small but our Olympians went to the beach when they wanted a serious swim. * the gobernanta (Karen) made sure that we had everything we needed. * the location demands a car and the climb up the hill from the main road is interesting. But I claim to suffer from vertigo and did not have a problem. * finally, we're going back in May 2008: six of us plus Archie, our 6 month old grandson. And Eleanor has assured us the the heated pool will be just right for him ("toasty"). And I am sure he will approve. George and Joy.

A lovely place in the sun

We have stayed in this wonderful villa twice, and would certainly go back again without hesitation. It had everything we needed for a very relaxing holiday, such as extremely comfortable beds, a heated pool for those slightly cooler October days, fabulous views, good sound system, well equiped kitchen, great beaches and restaurants nearby. Eleanor and Mike know how to look after people well and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and luxurious place in the sun.

We became so fed up with the standards offered by so-called 'luxury' villas on previous villa holidays, on one occasion even sleeping on the sofa for 2 weeks as it was more comfortable than the beds on offer in a four bedroom villa! When we go on holiday, as with most people, our time is precious and a villa which does not live up to expectations can be a real disappointment.

So, we decided to design and build our own villa, and do it right! Our professional lives in Hotel Management Consulting for 5 star hotels and Sales Leadership, have given us travel and hotel experiences all around the world, which have helped us create what we believe is one of the highest quality villa experiences you could wish for. Immaculate presentation, thoughtful touches to make your stay the best that it can be, and 'location, location, location' - it really is hard to beat!
