A perfect hideaway

This cottage provided a great base for exploring the Highlands. It was glorious in the sunshine and cosy in the evenings and was well kitted out with everything a family could need.

A truly wonderful stay

My partner and I came here celebrating our engagement with our family, and had a truly wonderful time. The farmhouse was clean, cosy and had amazing views overlooking the loch. It was also fitted out with all the amenities you need — including a fully equipped kitchen, a log-burner fire and three lovely bedrooms, all with a lovely view. There is also a hot-tub and table tennis area, which although we didn't use we think are great additions! It's also so well placed — only a 10 minute drive to Inverness, and a 40 min drive to Fort Augustus on the other side of Loch Ness. It's also very close to the Jacobite Cruise tours that run most days. We were all so sad to leave, would love to stay again.

Farmhouse with a View

Loch Ness Escapes have the most wonderful selection of holiday homes. Middleton Farmhouse is another. Set in a very large garden, the views are stunning and with dogs, you can just go through the gate at the bottom of the garden and a short walk takes you to Lochend. Inside the Farmhouse is no disappointment. The interior decor is extremely tasteful; the accommodation is spacious and very comfortable. 3 well proportioned bedrooms with the most comfortable beds, all made up with beautiful linen. You are very kindly started off with eggs and milk, fruit, breakfast brioche’s and a selection of jams to name but a few of the goodies. Even your dogs are catered for with a bed, towel, poo bags and some tasty treats. There is a fabulous wood fired hot tub and a fire pit you can sit round with a glass of wine. If you haven’t stayed in one of Loch Ness Escapes holiday homes then you don’t know what you are missing!

My husband and I stayed several days at the farmhouse for our 10th year wedding anniversary. Everything was so beautiful we didn't want to leave! The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the convenience of having fans available for use. Our favorite thing was the wood burning hot tub which we enjoyed each evening following our days journey. Gigina was lovely to work with and very accomodating. We hope to return again to make many more memories at your beautiful piece of paradise!

Perfect Christmas Stay

We had a brilliant time in this stunning house over Christmas. The kitchen is stocked with every utensil, pan and tray you could possibly need and the whole house is beautifully decorated. The wood fired hot tub was used loads and whilst it took four hours of tending the fire to get it up to temperature, it was then pretty simple to light occasional fires to keep it up to temperature. The scenery is gorgeous and we spent the week driving to various locations for day trips within an hour radius such as Loch Morlich and Aviemore. We would thoroughly recommend this place to other families, especially as they allowed our two dogs to stay for a small extra charge.

Wonderful stay (again...)

We had a wonderful stay at the Farm House on the Dochfour Estate. The house is within walking distance of Loch Ness and a few minutes' drive from Inverness. There is so much to see and do in the area, it is an ideal base for hikes. The house itself makes you feel right at home from the moment you step over the threshold. It is warm, cosy and very well equipped. Everything has been thought of. This was the second time I rented a house through this organisation, and I'm going to do it a third time, because unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, I wasn't able to do everything I wanted to do. What's more, I discovered lots of new things, so I just need a third time. And maybe a fourth too. And in the evening, you can immerse yourself in the wood-fired hot tub after a day in nature. It doesn't get any more relaxing than that, does it?

Lovely long weekend away

Wow. Such a beautiful home exuding comfort and style. Everything has been thought of & more. It was super clean. The beds were lovely & comfortable. Loads of wood for ALL the fires! It really is a stunning place. The hot tub is amazing. We loved playing table tennis to decide who was cooking!! It’s not quite on the loch & there is a walk down a slope & then through a field - too far just to run down for a quick swim without taking things with you. It’s more like a ten minute walk. Also if you have people with mobility difficulties, they may struggle to get there. However. The farmhouse is amazing. We all had a great stay. Thank you.

This location was absolutely perfect. Quiet and spacious; well supplied (the croissants and eggs were a lovely touch). A perfect place to return after a day out sightseeing. We would return to this property again if we were in the area.
