Lovely home with a lovely view

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Anna was a gracious host and the property was lovely. We had everything we needed. The decor was just beautiful - a mix of vintage and new. Would highly recommend staying here!

A charming Kerry farmhouse with excellent facilities for vegan and vegetarian self catering, cooking

Visits from a gentle friendly local farm cat and foraging windfall apples and blackberries in the garden. Stunning seaviews. Lots of interesting books and maps available to read up on the Blasket Islands It would benefit from an extractor fan in the kitchen.

Charming holiday home with seaview and good wifi. Nearest shop is 15 min drive away

Window seat in the lounge had great views of the bay, the sunset and distant easterly Blasket Island. Lots of birds visited the property swallows, magpies, robins, blackbirds, starlings and gulls which were v photogenic. The garden table and rocking bench were very comfortable for outdoor meals. The Le Creuset griddle pans and pots were a real treat . Muirrioch Beach is closeby for a long walk. Tig Aine outside Ballyferriter is a great location for lunch al fresco Perhaps a soup ladle.

Irish Dream Cottage

The Ballylusky Cottage in Ballydavid was everything and more than we imagined an Irish coastal cottage could be. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the Dingle Peninsula and was the perfect size for our multi-generational family of six adults. The traditional cottage has been lovingly restored. The views of the water from the front room are absolutely stunningrain or shine. All the amenities we expected (and more) were provided and everything was well maintained and clean on our arrival. An absolute gem! The cottage may have had this at one time, and it may have just been misplaced, but a folder with instructions on how to operate the heat and directions to the outdoor laundry shed, with washing machine and dryer instructions, would be a helpful addition.

8/10 Good

A wonderful view of Smerwick Harbour

We loved the location in a cluster of houses on a hill above Ballydavid, the orchard in the garden and the friendly farm cats. There is a good collection of books and games to use when the weather is wet and plenty of kitchen equipment. Multiple bowls of seashells, paintings of fish and a large dresser laden with tea sets gives a nostalgic vibe with marine themes. There are 2 nearby pubs offering bar food at Ballydavid. Good Wifi. The kitchen needs a soup ladle and egg cups. A hand rail up the steps from the carpark for safety of the elderly in the rain. Sadly there is no longer a grocery shop in the locality.

4/10 Poor

Liked: Check-in
