We stayed at this property last year for a family reunion and had a great stay, so booked again for this year. Location and accommodations were of course the same, but cleanliness was lacking. The kitchen and dining room floors were sticky and crumbs all along the baseboards.Unfortunately the oven didn’t work either for us, but the manager was quick to get a technician out and it sounds like they are going to replace the whole unit.

Family visit at CSU
We were in town for family week at CSU, thought we would be 10 mins from town, more like in 10 miles from town and 25 mins from the CSU. Although the home sleeps 16 seating is limited for large groups. The furniture for the home is minimalistic. The owners were very easy to work with during the booking process and reached out during the stay. While there were something’s that didn’t meet our expectations we found the property to be adequate to meet our basic needs.

Hello, We apologize for any confusion regarding the distance. The 10 min. tagline was removed months ago as it was an error. It was supposed to say 10 mi. We are located 10 miles from the CSU campus. We sincerely apologize for any confusion. We are in the process of getting a new couch, so we appreciate that feedback as well. We would like to offer you a 10% discount on your next stay for any inconvenience this may have caused. Feel free to contact me anytime.
We had a great time in your beautiful home. The kids had fun in the bunk-room and we all enjoyed the ping pong table, pool table, and the many toys & games in the game closet. The tvs were easy to use. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms well appointed and we had plenty of places to sit! It is a very stylish home.
We had trouble getting into the house because the entry door handle and lock was broken. The Nextdoor neighbor was able to get the door open eventually and a locksmith came an hour to fix the door handle. We had to meet the locksmith again the following day to fix the lock; this wasn’t part of our plans. Also, unfortunately, the kitchen did not measure up to the amenities of the house.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your kind words about your stay in our home. We’re so glad you and your family had a great time enjoying the bunk-room, the game closet, and all the other amenities—your description captures exactly how we hope our guests feel!
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience with the door handle and lock. While we worked to resolve the issue as quickly as possible—bringing out a locksmith within the hour and completing repairs within 24 hours—I understand that having to meet the locksmith was not ideal and disrupted your plans. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
We also value your feedback about the kitchen and will review it carefully as we continue to make improvements. Our goal is always to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and your input helps us grow and do better.
Thank you again for staying with us. We hope to welcome you back in the future for an even smoother stay!
I love the walkability of this home. You can walk to the Canyon Grill, to the Marina and lots of trails. They have a game room with ping-pong, foosball, and a pool table. This house is so accommodating and has everything you need. The deck is a favorite for me (morning coffee, grilling and evening wine/beer). Val and Andy are amazing hosts. If you need anything, just shoot them a text and you will get an immediate response. Simply fantastic!
This rental is so accommodating. It has everything you need and enough for 16 people. If you have a baby, they have port o cribs, changing table and a toddler char. The game room is awesome with ping pong, pool table, and foosball. The beds are super comfy and 3 full baths is a huge plus when you have a large group. But the location might be the best part. The back deck has beautiful views of the foothills and the marina., so enjoy your morning coffee, a cool beer on a warm day, or a glass of wine. You can walk to the Canyon Grill as it is right around the corner,. Hike Horsetooth Rock & the Falls or walk to the marina. And Val and Andy could not be any nicer. If you need anything, simply text. The home is awesome and so are they.
We love this property, and we keep coming back, as it is truly a peaceful haven. The house has everything you need, a game room, baby items, and super comfy beds. Plenty of room for everyone. Close to Horsetooth Rock, the marina and tons of trails. Just head out the door. In the evening, go to the Canyon Grill (a block down the road) or just site on the deck and watch the sunset over the marina.
My family includes 6 siblings and this cabin was perfect to accommodate all of us comfortably with plenty of amenities. I personally loved the bathtub in the Master bedroom, as its rare to find one that is comfortable for a someone of my height (6'2").
relaxed family get-together in lovely surroundings
It was perfect for our needs--plenty of bed space, good kitchen & dining area for Thanksgiving dinner, lovely views--the game area in the basement was a lifesaver, all the kids loved it.
We enjoyed miles of hiking right out the door.
Everything was enjoyable and positive about our stay. Plenty of room for all of us (10+ people). Near Horsetooth and Lory state park along with decent access into Ft. Collins
We love this property so much! The location is fantastic, the views are amazing, and the house has everything you need (ping pong table, pool table, foosball table, and a baby changing station even). Simply back your bags and head on over. Walk to the marina, the Canyon Grill and Horsetooth Rock. Be sure to make time to relax on the deck with a morning coffee, an afternoon beer or an evening glass of wine while watching the boats in the marina or the deer passing by. You will not be disappointed the hosts, Val and Andy are the best!
Had a great time. Lots of fun. Close enough to town we could get things we needed easily. Close to a good eating joint too. Fishing at Horsetooth was good.
We really enjoyed our vacation at this property! There was plenty of room for all 14 of us to sleep comfortably. We were very thankful for the swamp coolers and fans since it was very warm while we visited! Upper 90’s. We had plenty of supplies in the kitchen that we used for cooking. The kids enjoyed the pool table and ping pong tables a lot! We ran out of hot water a few times for showers, but we had a lot of people. Val and Andy replied quickly to our texts and were very kind!
The property was just as advertised. We had plenty of room for our entire family ( 14 total ). If you want to enjoy Colorado you need to start in the foot hills and Horse Tooth is the perfect Place. You would think that with a trip of 14 people there would be some complaints but, this house was perfect !
Val and Andy provide a great home with many options. We came into town with family and friends for my daughter's wedding. The games in the lower level were incredibly fun for all of us! We loved the deck and proximity to the reservoir and trails. One thing I would add to make it better...backup propane tank for gas grill and some umbrellas for those unexpected thunderstorms that us non-Colorado residents don't seem to get!
This property is simply fantastic. No need to bring a thing as it has everything. Beds are super comfy, games galore, a baby changing station, pool table, ping pong table and foosball. The kitchen has everything but for me, the deck cannot be beat. You have views of the reservoir, deer, and beautiful sunsets. Go out early with a cup of coffee or later with a glass of wine. It is so peaceful. You can walk to Hotsetooth Rock entrance, to the marina, and to the Canyon Grill. If you need a rental in Horsetooth, this is the place to stay. Thanks Val and Andy! And neighbor Bob could not be nicer!!
Great setup for a mixed age group. We were 7 adults and 6 children age 7-14. Game room in lower level kept kids occupied while adults enjoyed upper level.Close to hiking and reservoir.Would definitely come back.
If you are looking for the perfect getaway, then this is the property for you. The location is awesome. Walking distance to Horsetooth Rock, hiking trails, the marina, and the Canyon Grill. The deck is large and has a gorgeous view. Spent mornings drinking my coffee and evenings relaxing with a glass of wine. The property has everything you need! It has a pack n' play, high chair seat, and a real changing table, so if you have little ones, you don't have to bring all that extra stuff. They have ping pong, a pool table and foosball, which is great for hanging out. Beds are super comfy and with 3 full bathrooms, no one has to wait. They have beach towels and games too. This place is truly a gem and we will be back. Thanks Val and Andy!!

About the host
Hosted by Derek Anguilm
Andy, Teddy (our dog) and I bought this house in November 2016 with the idea of remodeling and renting it this summer. After 9 long months and lots of hard work, we completed the project in mid-July and are now ready to offer the house to others. We were able to enjoy it for a month and hosted family reunions, a work retreat and a 40th bday bash. We hope others will enjoy it as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We looked at several properties and knew this was the right one when we saw the view and to be honest the game room! We wanted a house that would not only fit all of our friends & family, but would also be accessible to the reservoir, hiking trails, and the local restaurant. It's the best of all worlds.
What makes this property unique
The unique aspects have already been mentioned, but are worth repeating. The deck has great views, it's an incredibly spacious house and fits a lot of people comfortably, our neighbor, Bob, couldn't be nicer, it's a very short walk to the restaurant (they have bands, karaoke, and good food), the game room rocks, the kitchen is fully-stocked, and the beds are super comfy!
