Needed some TLC. There was no toilet roll in our ensuite and we had to hunt around and managed to find two bath towels. The garden was in a neglected state which was a shame as we would have liked to sit out there.

Disappointing

The outside area was a jungle - dirty and not maintained. Bathrooms were tiny - you couldn’t bend over in the shower. Not very clean. Beds were very narrow and soft - felt like you were falling out of bed. Would not stay again and would not recommend.

Okay but not great

This house has so much potential but just missed in several areas. On the plus side, the house was, apart from some cobwebs in alcoves, reassuringly clean although some of the cutlery and crockery needed a jolly good wash before use. The decor was fun and the use of space imaginative. There is insufficient cutlery and crockery meaning that it was necessary to wash up after each meal. This was annoying and made worse by the fact that we were given only one dishwasher tablet - not that we would have put on the dishwasher for a few breakfast things. The fridge-freezer is in a cupboard meaning that it is necessary to open the cupboard door before opening the fridge-freezer. As the kitchen is very narrow this is inconvenient. In the corner of the living room, there is a weird collection of cables; it looks as though someone has removed a gaming platform, leaving all the wires behind which was a bit weird.There were some minor repairs which had not been done. The shade for one of the bedside lamps in the back, twin bedroom had been balanced in position but could not be used like this as the shade was leaning on the bulb and, thus, a fire hazard. The loo brush for the bijou shower room for the same bedroom seemed to be missing its handle.We liked the fairy tale wildness of the back 2/3 of the garden but felt that the top 1/3 needed some TLC. I resembled the garden of a student house and was not an appealing place to sit.
