La Maison de la Mer with Terrace and AC

Summary:

A caruggio behind Via Carattino climbs gradually with steps and a slope, up to a level that's technically "first floor" but feels more like a fifth: La Maison de la Mer rewards the climb with rooftop views over Vernazza and a private terrace. 65 sqm, sleeps up to 4.



The Space:

A living area with a new fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave, Nespresso machine) and a small sitting area opening straight onto the private terrace. A split heat pump in the living room serves the whole floor, with fans for extra comfort. Upstairs, a double bedroom with a skylight and air conditioning, plus an adjoining space with a single bed, good for a child (low mansard-style ceilings). Downstairs, a separate single bedroom, cooled by air from the living room with the help of a fan. Compact but functional bathroom with shower.



Guest Access:

The entrance is via the caruggio behind Via Carattino, which climbs gradually with steps and a slope: the flat's floor, technically the first from this access, sits at a height equivalent to a fifth floor relative to the main street. The outdoor route and internal stairs may not suit guests with limited mobility.



The Neighborhood:

Via Carattino, in the heart of Vernazza: the square, little harbour, restaurants and shops all a short walk away.



Getting Around:

The train station is a few minutes' walk. Public car park above the village for drivers (about 1,200 metres from the pedestrian area), shuttle and a short walk to our office (about 5 minutes).



Other Things to Note:

Small and medium-sized dogs welcome for a non-refundable supplement, on a lead in communal areas including stairs and garden, not on beds or sofas.



We leave a few breakfast basics in the kitchen for your first morning — croissants, biscuits, jam, tea, coffee, portioned powdered milk and sugar — plus our award-winning extra virgin olive oil from a local producer whose mill and honey production can be visited on one of our experiences, salt and washing-up liquid, and washing machine/dishwasher pods where fitted. Bed and bath linen included with shower gel, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. Professional cleaning throughout.



Full identity verification is a legal requirement in Italy.



Our concierge office in Vernazza is open 9:30am-7:00pm from 1 March to 31 October; outside this period the office is closed, with presence available on request. We're always happy to welcome guests staying in any of the other villages too, whether for a quick hello or for advice on local experiences and activities.

Interaction with Guests:

Assisted check-in 3:00pm–7:00pm, late check-in 7:00pm–10:00pm with a €50 supplement, no check-in possible after 10:00pm — past this hour car parks close, night trains are rare and often delayed or cancelled, and the villages fall quiet with no one around who could really help anyway.
