This is a very conveniently located property, and we had an amazing time in Monterosso! Luisa is a great host - she communicated clearly and promptly, and everything was very easy. The property was clean and very well take care of. To note, it is quite close to the trains (we're light sleepers, so it was helpful that we brought ear plugs).

Luisa‘s house was just what we had hoped for! We learned that it has been in her family for five generations, and is conveniently located in the middle of Monterosso. We loved waking up to the sounds of the city coming alive, and enjoying breakfast on the balcony. Both beds were very comfortable, and each bedroom had a balcony. Yes, the stairs were a challenge, but we considered them a great warm-up for hiking the Cinque Terre! There are dozens of restaurants within walking distance, and the wonderful beach is only a short distance away.

We LOVED Luisa's apartment. The beautiful views, spacious rooms, nice kitchen and great location that really could not be any better. Every step of the way, Luisa had every answer for us with clear directions. The views are absolutely amazing and the ocean breeze is priceless (careful - make sure the doors don't slam from the breeze when you have them all open!)There are two decent little markets nearby and train station is very close. You will hear the trains, but they are charming. You will also hear the bars and restaurants below but don't worry, Monterosso is not a town that parties all night. Most of all you will love making your coffee in the Bialetti and then having it on the balcony overlooking the sea in the morning with the sounds of the birds and gentle pine-infused ocean breezes.

Fabulous location and very comfortable close to restaurants bars and shops doors and wondows double glazed so train noise not bad our host luisa was fabulous and very helpful we enjoed our stay

Luisa the host was very communicative and even met with us to share her family’s history with the house/apartment. The location was perfect and easy to find. There are two steep flights of stairs to get to the apartment. It was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday with music but we were able to fall asleep no problem. Others have commented on the train but you also get the church bells which stop at 10pm and start at 7am. So definitely recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The view is amazing. Out of the other Cinque Terre towns I would come back to Monterosso and stay here again.

Beautiful location

Absolutely gorgeous location. Look out onto the beach and ocean. Variety of restaurants & swimming beach right outside your door. Apartment was only lacking in working cooking facilities such as working micro and broken refridgerator door. Could feel springs in bed.

Excellent location! About a 10 minute walk from the train station. You are steps away from the best restaurants, gelato and wine in Monterosso. We did go to the beach below the train station vs right in front of the apartment. Apartment does need a few updates, but the location, food/drink and activities makes the stay here all worth it.

Cinque Terre is more beautiful in person than in the photos. The views from each village were breathtaking. The location of the apartment was wonderful - close to shops, restaurants, train station and the beach. It was spacious and had 2 balconies overlooking the water. Although the apartment building was in the flat part of Monterosso al Mare, the apartment itself was on the second and third floors.
